I work 8-5 for five days a week. How do I structure working out routine?

My addiction was to narcotics, but when I did drink, I drank to oblivion.

Used to workout consistently until 8 months ago but haven't been to the gym since. Got hit by a brief period of depression. I'm in a much better place now but can't seem to be able to muster enthusiasm to start my regular routine again no matter what I do. How do I get back to my original frequency?
