This is literally the exact style of ak I’m trying build. I wanted to buy Zenitco, but I’ve been told I can’t ship it to the US because of import bands? Is that correct or no? Any help or advice would be greatly appreciated brother. For reference I have a Zastava M70 with wood furniture and looking to fully upgrade it out.
You've waited this long, wait a little longer. I had three orders go through fine with Russian-Thunder, but the fourth order ended up in US Customs jail. Going on two months... for Zenitco charging handle covers of all things. The mark-up isn't worth it stateside, unless you just don't know any better. I think Zenitco stuff is the best, but seriously, don't make assholes rich by paying $700 for something that should only cost $150.
I own the kpyk stuff and my friends own Sureshot and occam defense and in comparison to the shit ton of zenit I’ve owned and sold I will say these 3 are undoubtedly way higher quality and all cheaper than zenit.
I've seen some of the KPYK stuff, and their stocks look like a much better option that what Zenitco is putting out, but good luck finding them. Their forends, though... I'm seeing an AR vibe more than the Zenitco AK vibe. Good to have options, but the look and feel of the Zenitco forends is still my fav. PSA and KUSA have tried to come up with stuff similar to Z, but they've made it different enough to kinda suck. Occam Defense has some unique ideas... like the walnut panels, and it looks like high-quality stuff, but still seems like they're trying to turn an AK into an AR, especially with their MERC handguard.

Just found my receipt from my order guess i got everything from akstuff.com
Tbh i got mine built before the bans last July in 2021. I feel like your safest bet is trying to buy probably marked up prices from sellers in the us.
I think i used akstuff.com or 4shooters for most of my pieces
For sure gonna be buy Zenitco when the bans are gone. Any recommendations on what to get besides Zenitco and what to avoid? Any help and/or advice would be much appreciated
Oh really? I was looking on the Zenitcos website and says they are compatible with 103’s. Can you please explain why they won’t work? I’m bring new to the AK world so forgive my ignorance.
Just did my own research and found out that yugo ak’s are in fact not compatible, rip. Are recommendations on the best ak’s that are compatible with zenitco?
Yes, that’s correct, importing zenitco is almost a guaranteed waste of money as it will likely get seized. Secondly, you cannot put zenitco on Zastavas.
Its legit, Ivan is in Russia though, so if u aren’t in Russia you are gonna have to bet on the shipment getting through customs. They are doing “discrete shipping” which is supposed to be working better but still not fool proof. Thats why there is crazy up charge on selling after its in the us.
Depends on if your state banned ghost guns. Although these have nothing to do with ghost guns, Russian accessories captured by customs raise the flag to your local PD as ghost gun parts, some people did get in trouble for this, but probably nothing that can’t be expunged eventually.
Thank you for the info. My states gun laws are how it should be and ghost guns are only illegal if used in a crime. Thank God I'm a law abiding citizen. 😁
Importation of Russian gun parts is still a slippery subject, which is technically not federally legal, but since the government did not create these parts like in a factory like Izhmash, it raises the question of what is actually a Russian part, a private company made it. It’s a gray area, very unspecific, even those Izhmash MMG AK-12 kits coming in would be seen as something like a ghost gun kit or an act of mail fraud, but not the specific federal ban on importing Russian guns and parts.

It’s good but not the best. there are a few domestic manufacturers making more solid solutions.
Who? Is their stuff also made of unobtainium?

Just looked up the PT-5 on ak stuff and it’s 1,000 bones now. Sadge.
Ya i could probably sell my gun for double what i paid easily. Almost like they are the best investments to make.

Zenitco won’t work on zastava. Ivan does a special order where they send it to a different country to be repackaged

Very nice.

Is ivan tactical a legit website? Will it be able to get me the zentico here no problem?

If it doesn't make it through customs do we get in trouble
I don’t believe so.
