I kind of like these traps that let you search specific other traps. Mirror Force Launcher, Magical Cylinders, etc, etc. Just something neat about them

It's simple, it's searchable, not once per turn, doesn't need any setup and instead just gives you a bonus if played with RDA. I like it.

Would be appreciated if the set Fiendish Chain could be activated that same turn, this card doesn’t sound great without an effect that allows that. It’s searchable by Vision Resonator, but Red Zone is a better search target. Also, it being named Golem reminded me that Jack used the Golem trio cards. Would be pretty cool to see some support for them, but I don’t think Konami even remembers that Jack had any boss monsters that aren’t RDA related.

Yeah, he used Blader in the final duel of the show against Yusei. I run it now in Swordsoul as a going second card against high-level decks that leave a monster out.

There should be one new card remaining, a Spell Card, either in slot number 024 or 026. No more slot for new Synchro, Scar-Red Dragon Archfiend will be the only one.

Jack really didnt have a chance of getting another synchro cause the extra deck monsters in a sd are usually revealed in the first wave.

I disagree. The SD is a massive upgrade to RDA, but RDA was so nigh unplayable to begin with that it still feels heavily underwhelming. I just wish RDA has some kind of Quick effect that lets them chain a Synchro summon. The deck is still so vulnerable to interrupts that often times it feels like you are relying on your opponent being dumb enough to not negate Crimson or Rising.

I disagree. Pre chaos ruler ban RDA will be better than post SD RDA. This SD does far from enough. It's still red rising or die. Now with more noobtraps.

Yeah, the thing is whatever support that gets put into the archetype has to be able to scale up with what the Bystial + Branded stuff currently does for it. It was going to be a tall order.

May I ask how? The SD has been made around the Novas which are already great boss monsters. Aside from a new Majestic Red Dragon (MRD), which will be in a booster pack to sell packs, you already have really good cards. MRD already has its effects on other synchro cards in the archetype. The SD cards have been made to power up the Novas so they can be used twice per turn, and there is now no downside to your RDA synchro monsters being banished with Red Reign or anything else as Scar Red Zone will bring them back to potentially use their effect twice that turn to clear the field, that's absurdly powerful. These traps can be searched by a resonator being sent to the GY, and there is an in archetype card to send it from the deck to the GY to search it, besides using Foolish Burial! The Scar-Red Synchro when used to climb nukes the field of your opponent's ATK posirion monsters, before going into a swole Nova to potentially attack directly. Using that and either Nova or the Level 9 manga RDA gives you 2 interruptions with monsters, with 2 potential board wipes, and that is without staples or your spells and traps, like Red Reign for follow up.

Good luck summoning Red Supernova Dragon. That insanity is still the same

The reliance on original RDA really made about half the support in this structure incredibly awkward. The monsters are all very good for what they do at least if nothing else.

I still plan on buying 3 of it when the deck releases in the TCG.

If nothing else, this deck has literally everything you need to build a solid RDA core. I don't know how it'll compete, but the deck is effectively complete unless there's anything missing in the reprints.

It also excludes cards that are part of the RDA archetype, which are the manga RDA cards. This tends to be a major problem with 5ds and DM legacy support, since they had a lot of ace monster upgrades with names that make it impossible to create an archetype that would include both the base ace monster and its upgrades. Though they could have gotten around it this time if it was worded as "mentioning "RDA" in the card's name or text".

Either way, this is probably the worst card in the new support. Look at the rest of the support and how often it gets to Red Supernova + Bystial Dis Pater + Abyss + the continuous trap card for maximum negation and interaction.

This card doesn't make it easier. Like I said, it's the worst card in the new support. The main strategy is you have to get to Crimson Resonator, no matter what, then cycle as much as you can to get enough negates. Exordio del Duelista on youtube has a video on the new support from the first reveal, however it's pre-Vision Resonator reveal and pre Red Zone reveal, so it doesn't include those in the strategy and end board. Either way it should satisfactorily show you how to end on Dis Pater + Supernova + Abyss. The way that you would use Vision Resonator and Red Zone, is to summon synkron resonator and soul resonator off of Crimson, then Soul adds Vision which you can summon for free. When you synchro with Vision or tribute it for Bane you can add Red Zone, which is a fast effect to summon back Red Supernova to use its boardclear twice in a turn, which is not a HOPT. It's also a Drident if you control a card that mentions RDA, which could be Scar-Red. With that effect, it makes it an out to DRNM. Respond to it with the trap effect, which you can then respond to with Abyss, negating the face up DRNM.

Feels like the structure was a let down, another new non tuner would be nice especially a lvl 5 or 6. i mean there are good cards but seems like a few more cards would been cool

It is already announced. It will be a new Structure Deck R and a remake of the Fire King deck (due to konamis Year of Fire campaign)

I just wish they got more Yeah, some of the cards were good, but not good enough by 2023 standards, this card being another prime example. I mean it's an okay Vision Reso target.. but okay isn't good enough in 2023. The new lvl 8 sync is terrible, the deck is still resolve red rising or get a mediocre at best board... Why would one ever play this over synchrons or any other good synchro deck? It's a shame

Tbh their main mechanic is so wack that they needed some busted cards to make it work. Any of their support on another deck would bring havoc

I really hope o age of overlord we get a majestic red dragon retrain and an exploder dragon wing retrain and or a knight version to counter stardust warrior

This and Vision Resonator have engine potential in other decks.

Activate (Super)Novas effect > bring it back with Scar Red Zone > can activate (Super)Novas effect again (because no HOPT on the Novas) or if hit with another effect with just Nova out > banish it with Fiendish Golem to dodge that effect like Blooming of the Darkest Rose. or Banish opponent's monster while you have a swole Supernova on the field to attack directly, you already have Red Reign for that, but if they try to play around Red Reign, it could be useful ig?

I can see this deck being a good t2 deck if the additional new cards include more searching. Maybe this is me being old and not fully up to the current times (just got back a month ago from a hiatus since 2016) A lot of this looks like consistency boosters, extenders, and starters. I'm hopeful for a good showing involving a RDA/Bystial deck. Level 2 resonators + level 6 Bystials seems like a good combo. Etude of the Branded seems like it would do wonders for this deck- if you can make Scar Red Dragon into Hot RDA Bane with Lubellion in grave, you can nuke the opponent's field on both turns and set up a Dis Pater. - Make Scar RDA, synch into Bane. Nukes opponent's field and summons RDA. - Lubellion tribute RDA to summon itself, then place Etude faceup. This makes a 1-sided Macro for extra deck summon materials plus effect used later. - Bane tribute Lubellion for RDA. - Bane do battle damage to summon 2x level 2 tuners - Opponent's turn use Etude to synch Scar + tuner into Dis Pater. Nukes opponent's field and sets up Dis Pater negates. Summons another RDA to synch another level 10 with the second level 2 tuners if they both survive

Still hoping Konami prints Red Gargoyle in AC03 as a tie in with this Deck.

This deck seems to be very firmly 5D's Jack, so there's a chance it's a 5D's Jack card and that's the cross promotion.
