Goodwill, FB Marketplace, offer up, mostly in person to check if the disc or stuff is in good condition.

buckeyeking84

I just learned about the goodwill route last week, I def vouch for it. I’ve always seen the FB market place ads, but always thought it was shady business so never really looked into it. How often have/do you use it?

Ulixr

FB Marketplace depending on your area can have many hidden gems, I've seen a lot of retro stuff on sale, I've bought about 10 360 games from there, a controller that was in good condition, and a extra 250gb hard drive.

buckeyeking84

Thanks

steinaech

I do FB too but only local listings. I don't trust buying from someone that has to ship

TheDude3906

Goodwill is good but the shipping scam they have going on is ridiculous.

buckeyeking84

Scam? You mean winning an low auction then get hit with damn near $100 worth of shipping and handling? I’m well aware of that Bs 😂😂😂😂

TheDude3906

Yup, that lol

KennKanifff

Thrift stores for the common stuff, local mom n pop game store for the more niche stuff.

buckeyeking84

Dope… curiosity, handle Eminem ref?

KennKanifff

Yup, as well as a high school nickname that never went away.

buckeyeking84

Nice…I always quote that and the Chinese restaurant skit, literally til this day lol

Pros3rz

Mostly stores that sell movie, books, games... like near me there is half price books and disk replay. Also I've seen a couple of games at walmart or best buy, but wouldn't really consider it there.

buckeyeking84

Disc replay? Fellow Midwesterner. Yea that was one of the first places my wife took me too when I went on my 360 journey

Pros3rz

Yeah, it's not bad, they usually have enough of the "common" games, and the prices aren't that high

buckeyeking84

True, there are about 4 in our general area, usually they all have the same shit, so I hit them once a month to see if they have anything I’m actually looking for

ascendance22

Hell yeah there great

conceited_cape

i buy most of my games in general at yard sales and thrift stores bc i’m cheap as hell lol. also facebook marketplace is a good place if you can find local bundles

Ap616

I recommend Lukie Games for lots of stuff! But prices have gone up across the board since the pandemic. Quality is usually very good though & great return policy 👍

gusborwig

First I check out Xbox.com to see if it’s available cheap digitally. GameFly and Redbox have some stuff for sale pretty cheap. I always check there first. I then try a couple places locally.

buckeyeking84

Thanks 💪🏿

Jedialpja777

I bought my 360 and all my controllers at goodwill. 4 wireless controllers and the console put me back $32. Bought it a out 5 years ago and still play it. No problems, everything works great

buckeyeking84

I think I’m gonna go to a few tomorrow

Jedialpja777

I had one 5 min from my house at the time and I went twice a day for about a month and a half. 90% of the time it's literally garbage. My truck was to go early in the morning before it's picked over and right before they close when they start restocking for the next day. We also had a half price the first Saturday of the month. One Saturday, a guy who got there earlier than me snagged a GameCube with 2 controllers and all the hookups for 10 bucks. If they do 50% Saturdays in your area, show up first and make a b-line to electrics.

buckeyeking84

Oh fk yea. Thanks for the info

horkiesmasc

Some pawn shops. I went to one with 360 games for 2 bucks a piece.

sayberdragon

Local shop, maybe Goodwill if the disc is in good condition. Used to buy barely used controllers from GW but the COVID lockdown jacked their prices to oblivion. My local shop has barely touched their prices and has good deals; they only sell games in good condition and they resurface all their used games before they sell.

Yahoo Auction Japan. A nice secret among old electronics collectors. Especially for obscure hi-fi. But good for exclusive games, as well. Example: https://page.auctions.yahoo.co.jp/jp/auction/t1005944224 and https://page.auctions.yahoo.co.jp/jp/auction/j1005215720

buckeyeking84

Fkn WOW. Thank you man. I’ve never heard of this but I’m def gonna keep an eye on this

TeddyMGTOW

Theres a used retro video game shop in my town. But to be honest i can get get the digital download for about the same, so there screwing us..

Loam_Lion

There's a few local shops, called heebiejeebez, gamer's asylum, and roosters, and then I'll also check a local classifieds app that I have on my phone and occasionally Facebook and OfferUp

RobEreToll

I recently found 360 games in a bargain bin in a liquidation type store the town over. Not worth bragging but got lego starwars awakening. They had other games, but I had most of them already, my spouse was around, and money is tight to be buying wrapped doubles.

hit4power

Xbox store. Just got the MGS HD collection, if you don’t have this already, get it. It’s 20 USD for two absolutely GREAT games.

buckeyeking84

Dope. But I’m just looking for Xbox 360 games I never heard of, shit until 2020 I had no Idea 360 had so many fkn titles. So just been on look out for those. Rushing for an 100k score

hit4power

The collection is on 360. And even if you get in one Xbox one or series X/S, you get it on 360.
