What a super high def picture. Love it.
Man, no ear protection!
The guy bending over seems to have paper in his year. Sucks not have hearing protection I bet
My dad was in the artillery during the late 80's, they had douple ear protection even then and he said that some of them got tinnitus still
Probably cotton wool
What a well oiled gun
Dunkirk eh? Bet those boys are plenty pissed off at whatever is down range of that weapon. ... though by the look of it, they aren't in battle mode (no helmets, no spent casings, shadows that look like many people watching, not THAT dug in...). Could be one for the cameras, but the colour is amazing.
Definitely not as pissed as the brits who were there 4 years earlier
Canadians weren't at dunkirk in 1940, it was british and french troops in that pocket. This photo shows canadian troops in 1944 during the siege of dunkirk, where allied units (mainly canadian) decided to lay siege and contain the fortified port city.
Oh yeah alright, Thanks!
Thats very good colorised photo, or that is a very rare color photo. Either way 11/10
