I'm not pro-China by any stretch of the imagination, but the Taiwanese ADIZ extends across the whole of the Taiwan Strait, and into mainland China a significant distance. These flights appeared to be down the middle of the Taiwan Strait.
Taiwan never reports chinese flights over their Chinese territory — only when they are provocative. So this disclaimer on their behalf (posted ad nauseam) is unnecessary.
edit: curious where you see the flight charts — Taiwan’s ministry is only showing details of the incursion on Oct 2 so far.
Well it is the identification zone, which is meant to identify potential issues or incursions into Taiwan's airspace. This is particularly relevant gor military aircraft.
China is certainly doing this to intimidate, despite your reservations about the intentions.
Flying planes over their own land? What's to say there not just doing exercises, moving personell or even just moving the planes to a different base?

Yes sure, but if a country's ADIZ overlaps into another country's airspace, there will be constant incursions. And I'm sure China is absolutely taking advantage of this to conduct flights intended to intimidate Taiwan, as you say.
They are going near Pratas Island, a small atoll held by Taiwan.
