Put into Some parchment paper, fill a glass bottle with boiling water, roll it over the keif while pressing down 25 times on each side, bam you got some potent hash there
Let’s cook!! Ok so get 4 sticks of butter and let them sit out for a min (room temp butter is easier to work with + mixes better). this trim-keif will be plenty to go a long way.
Decarb the weed by putting it on a sheet tray spread out to activate the thc through heat in an oven at 200 for 20 mins. After 20 mins it should look a little darker than initially set in, meaning the thc is activated so you can basically eat it to get high already like vaped weed but we want everything to bond to fats to get the most out of alllll the thc so…
Next bring a pot of water to a simmer with atleast an inch and a quarter of water from the base of the pot to the top of the water line. Water is a buffer from the burners heat as to continuously cook the thc from the weed into it the butter/weed mixture without burning anything away.
Add the 4 sticks of butter and let them melt on top of the water. Keep it simmering. You will see it all stay on top and melt. If the sides of the pot are burning with the butter it’s too hot.
Add the weed. Sift and stir every 15 mins, keep the water to a simmer so you see the butter continually getting darker and darker, and smell better and better.
Continue for 3-4 hours (my best results were 4 hours low simmer but can be accomplished in less)
After the time frame, pour the contents of the pot into a Pyrex dish/large bowl and place in the fridge for 6 hours. All of the water and fats will separate and leave you with bunk water from the weed boil at the bottom and the greenest butter you’ve ever smelled solidifying at the top. Happy cooking!!

My question is, what is sifting in this context and what does it do?
For even distribution of weed in the butter while it simmers, some pockets of air, if there’s a small simmer, can stay coming up from one spot leaving an uneven layer at the top
I do the same for decarb but let the flower stew overnight in a mason jar filled with 1/2 cup of MCT. In the crock pot on low water bath overnight. Into gummies from there.

you’re right. this was just the keif from picking out the tiny nugs from the trimmings from our hand trimmer. didn’t wanna waste any lil nuggies. we didn’t use this to trim which if we had would have doubled this i’m sure. i bought it too late unfortunately.
you could try buying micron screens and sift it more for multiple different levels of purity:) then it becomes “dry sift”, if you get a fine enough screen you’ll be able to get 90%+ thc full melt tricomes! sorry for all the buzz words WNJOY
Glad it is your own flowers you are trimming. I would have to fire you. Put all of this in mesh bags and press it. Or you can static clean the particulates out and smoke amazing dry sift keif.
