Depending on your boss you might just be able to ask for the exam times off. If not, maybe bring it up with academic counselling, they might accommodate you if you need this job to avoid going completely bankrupt. Best of luck.
dont feel comfortable asking since the first whole month will be a mandatory training period, but most certainly will get in touch with AC thank you!
I would even consider asking if you could do the 4-midnight from Tuesday-Saturday. Some employers aren’t half bad and can accommodate
i would but its just tough knowing that im easily replaceable and most employers wouldnt hesitate or think twice about it

Ask academic counsellor for permission to switch the course, they might be able to do that
even though its been a week past the deadline date? will try regardless
Are there not multiple sections of the class? If there are then in theory you should be at the same spot and switching shouldn't be a problem
You could also email academic services and see if you can get accomidations to write early or in the rescheduled makeup times that will hopefully work for you
im honestly not 100% sure if there are multiple sections but i dont think so, will definitely get in touch with AC to write early or the makeups, thank you so much for your input
Thats too bad, I really hope it works out. I hope they'll be understanding of you situation - I would think it would be a no Brainerd but I've learned to drop my expectations of western 😅
But fingers crossed itll all be fine!
I dropped a course WDN way past the deadline because of a health issue. I believe that if you make the request and have appropriate evidence showing your financial situation and why you need to do it, there is a chance they could change it for you. I'm not 100% sure whether they'll approve it but just try regardless. Hope things work out well for you.
I just want to say I am sorry you are dealing with all of this, it sounds like a really stressful situation.
honestly i have no one to blame but myself so i cant even be upset, but thank you for your kind words they mean a lot
Talk to your prof. They might be able to let you not attend lessons provided you do your assignments and tests.
The other alternative is to just drop the class and take longer to graduate. It took me 10 years to get my degree for similar reasons. It's not the end of the world.
yes i understand that, i have thought about it but ideally id like to graduate no later than this year, it might not be the end of the world but i know it would devastate me mentally
Hi yeah go to financial advisor at school and tell them your situation and they will help with finding you an work study or connections to a job on campus! Also for the exams and stuff I would try to take Wednesdays off if you can, like if you tell them you have school and stuff they should work around that
I didn’t attend classes the last two years of my degree. Just went to tests and exams. Read the assigned readings, read the slides, do the homework. Showing up to class is becoming outdated for strictly lecture type classes
i agree that it is becoming a bit outdated, even the class that im referring to, i sit through the lectures and learn nothing. most of my learning is self taught, but yeah still need to write the tests and exams
Work service. At the right spots, you can be making $30/hr just in tips.
Edit: try working it. But be firm about your exam stuff etc
unfortunately no luck with service jobs, for context i apply to pretty much every job that im not unqualified for (including service, even though no experience) but yes thank you thats what im thinking as of now
If you want someone to look over your resumes, I have 4 years of serving experience, both casual and fine dining
If you want someone to look at your resume, I have years of serving experience in casual and fine dining :)
