So that’s why i could see the stubble on Kamaru’s head

"It's 8k because that's how much the camera cost"

I promise it costs more than quadruple that
Idk I thought it looked like the selfie mode that comes on cell phones now
Ya it’s like portrait mode
I loved the camera and new angles they were working., Almost gave it a video game feel too it. NFL did the same this year and it was just as cool
Looked like I was playing ufc 5!
How that's gonna matter if their streams are still in buffering 1080p?
The same way anti-aliasing makes jaggy edges look sharp - render in a higher resolution than you display to create a sharper image.
Not like we didn't all see the very real difference, despite watching on 720p pirated streams
What I'm saying is they should've fixed their shitty streaming service first
That's fair, I'm just answering the question you asked buddy.
Absolutely hate this new trend. Blown out highlights, moire patterns on the walls, flickering, and worst of all they can’t keep the subject in focus.
Yeah.. androids Live View is even better
Yeah this took away the appeal of it being a live fight. The ultra HD cameras made it look prerecorded
It was cool until the subject would go out of focus every time they moved.
Why wouldn’t they use 4K cameras lol
somthing to do with the fact that you lose resolution when transmitting a signal, iirc, you need an 8k cam to stream 4k content live or something like that
The quality of the video messed with my mind a bit.
When the camera is so high quality that fighters look animated
Lol but who is watching it on a 8k monitor or TV? Right, close to no one. 8k only works if u got a 8k screen
You can't say it only works on 8k screens, because like you said barley anyone has a 8k monitor but everyone who watched it noticed a dramatic difference still
But the difference wasnt because of the 8k camera, it was because its a cinematic camera that uses different lenses and the camera work focused on the fighters faces and the intensity
I think the difference was all the above, including the 8k camera.
Either way I think UFC should continue with it, thought it looked badass 👊
Yeah, I didnt wanna start a discussion, i loved it too. It looked amazing
I think the camera work was different but who cares anyways, 8k will be Standard in 3-5 years I guess
I highly doubt they were uploading in 8k, they can barely keep a 1080p stream steady.
My TV can't display 8k. It was the was the shallow depth of field that made it look different.
Is it just me who thinks the picture above looks poor quality is this the new 8k?
that’s not how it actually looks on a screen
