In my opinion this album almost put a coffin in Tyler's career. A lot of people stopped really fw Tyler after Cherry Bomb. Then when he dropped Flower Boy it revived his fan base and his career. Then Igor dropped and the rest is history.

Cherry Bomb doesn’t deserve the hate, it’s basically half noise rock, half R&B, and I’m okay with that. The beats are awesome, and Tyler took a huge swing by making it. I have to respect it for that. That being said, Igor and CMIYGL Estate Sale are far and away his best albums, absolute masterpieces with zero skips.

Bastard is much better than goblin Goblin is way too long and and the songs sound too similar while Bastard has more variety and interesting sounds, and it has that more homemade vibe. Bastard is like the original Evil dead it’s corny and very amateur but you feel the sheer passion that went into every aspect, and it’s charming in that way. while Goblin is one of the nightmare on elm street sequels, it’s technically superior and it tries to double down on everything the original did but in doing so looses the charm and just kinda comes off forced and but it definitely still has its high points
