To *drastically* change the view (with low power viewing as the intent) you'd need to spend some serious money on the ES 24mm 68 degree eyepiece, which maxes out the TFOV in a 1.25" focuser. That money is probably better spent on a better telescope first. The X-Cel LX or Starguider at 25mm would give a modest improvement at a modest price.

Thanks. I still have a 25mm plössl, will a Cel-X change the FOV? (Also I found a 40mm plössl on amazon for 26 bucks, would it be good?)

40mm has a maximum theoretical AFOV of 42 degrees. A 32mm Plossl would end up with the same TFOV but a larger AFOV. I'd generally not recommend a 40mm Plossl unless it's for very long focal length telescopes where getting the magnification lower is a challenge. Between the 25mm Plossl and the X-Cel LX, you go from 52 degrees AFOV to 60 degrees AFOV. Since that's at the same magnification, you gain a bit of extra TFOV.

Understandable. I’ll keep an eye on X-Cel. Thanks!

What is the focal length of your scope? What eyepieces do you already have? And what is your budget per eyepiece (assuming you can get a full range of useful magnifications with 5 eyepieces - which is just my opinion on a useful quantity)? And finally, taking your scope to a darker sky is more important than eyepieces.

ThatDefaultDude2901

1. The focal length Of my scope is 1000mm. 2.I already have a 6,12,17,20 and 25 mm eyepiece that came with the telescope as Celestron’s gift. I generally use eyepieces(except 25mm) for planetary observing. 3. My country has currently inflasion, so something about or lower than 60-70 USD would be good. (Also, I’am not serious about eyepieces and I’am not sure of it. I do my best to go to darker skies, And best I have is bortle 4.)

> 6,12,17,20 and 25 mm eyepiece that came with the telescope Those are likely all Plossls, so grabbing a few wider FOV eye pieces will boost your experience. Goldline eye pieces are great budget options. I have a 20mm and 6mm 66 degree FOV eye piece, the 20mm is for the Moon and DSOs, the 6mm is for planets.

ThatDefaultDude2901

So is there like a, 30mm Goldline?

Sunsparc

Not that I've seen.

Thanks for the help mate👍
