No matter which model, the Vesta family is a bit of Jack-of-all-trades, master of none in comparison to other available science choices, so you'll have a decent and solid ship no matter what. Brigid has a decent +exotic console, and an extra sci ability for SIA. Palatine has a decent +energy weapon console, and the LtC tac seat helps for ETM and such. The Esquiline's extra eng seat and defensive console aren't really that helpful, though. But between Brigid and Palatine, you'll be flying pretty no matter what. Whether you want a bit more towards pure space magic, or a bit more towards hybrid flexibility, either one will do you good. One thing to consider is what other Fed sci vessels you're interested in. The Titan and Nova for example are fantastic dew-hybrid ships with their extra weapon slots and tac seating, so if you like those you might swing towards the Brigid as a pure sci ship. Conversely the Nebula and Intrepid are tac-light, so if you like those then the Palatine would be a nice counterbalance.

Thanks for all the details, it helps a lot!

DilaZirK

All of them. For the Space Barbie.

Grey_Horizons

What's that? And I assume you mean they're all good.

DilaZirK

Space Barbie = Playing dress up with your ship/captain. Buying the entire T5 and T6 Vesta line will give you all 6 ship cosmetic parts to mix and match to your heart's content. The Vesta line are all solid ships (be it T5/T6), but nothing particularly outstanding in the current meta. There are better buys from the C-store for DPS chasing purposes in terms of ship traits, and better platforms from even the Fleet Shipyards.

Grey_Horizons

Sick, thank you. I'm not chasing max performance, just having fun anyway...

Merrygoblin

All the ships are good (with slightly different strengths - pick the one you create as a build according to their relative strengths and weaknesses and whether you want to go more tactical, engineering or space magic). The space barbie, though, is mixing and matching the parts of them all for a more customised look. You can also get the consoles of each and use any/all of those together, with set bonuses if you do. Apparently, btw, the Brigid is based on the originally designed look for the USS Voyager, according to the wiki at least. If you choose to get them all, you buy get them cheaper as a bundle.

Grey_Horizons

Thank you for the detailed reply!

Freemind62

Do you already have the Vesta class? If not you don't get the skin with the T6 versions so you'd need to buy both.

Grey_Horizons

I don't, I'm planning on getting it just for the look while it's on sale
