I just brought home my Nova Pro Wireless. They are absolutely different than the Arctis Pro Wireless batteries.
EDIT: [Arctis Pro Wireless on left / Nova on right](https://i.imgur.com/AuEItV9.jpg)
I haven't launched anything or played any audio yet. I set it up and I've been browsing reddit. I'm booting up Apex Legends now to check it out then I'm going to take a nap lol.
I played Apex Legends all day and there was a preset for Apex in the ~~Sonic~~ *Sonar settings inside of the Steelseries app. It was good. A little different than the Arctis Pro Wireless but once my ears adjusted (been using Arctis Pro Wireless for 3 years) I enjoyed it.
What was frustrating was dialing in my input settings through the app. My friends complained for a while until I found the right combination of settings to shut them up lol.
They definitely had a different sound initially it seemed, but once I adjusted to them they sounded good. I want to say though that I'm definitely no audiophile so I'm not giving an expert opinion.
Wait a minute...
The Pro Wireless uses 1000mAH while Nova uses 700mAH ? And the Nova lasts longer?
Also, steelseries do not have that battery on accessories for sale ? Nice.
Did you ever hear some hissing sounds or white noise on the Arctis Pro Wireless? Is this noise still present on the Nova Pro Wireless? I had to return the Arctis Pro's because i couldn't unhear the sound.
Yo do me a favor and test out the Bluetooth. Can you take a call and play your game at the same time? I know you have to adjust the game and the Bluetooth device separately. Does the Bluetooth device overshadow the game?
I'm just seeing this now. I didn't use bluetooth at all, but it should allow to use both simultaneously, but not sure so don't quote me on that. As far as overshadow do you mean like it's louder...? Again though, I didn't try it.

I've just bought the wired one. its strange On my old gamedac there was an option on input mode for hi res audio. But on gamedac 2 it doesn't have that option. Can't seem to figure this one out.
Does anyone know if the battery packs sold seperately for the pro wireless are the same again for the Nova pro wireless? - I'm pretty certain that the battery form factor is different than the ones on the pro/pro wireless. If you look at the pin layouts in the images, they are different. Not sure why they went that route.
Anyone know if the hinge quality is better? - People are reporting better hinge quality.
And do the leather ear cups from the other lines fit onto the nova wireless line? - I don't see why not.
Anyways, would like to hear it from folks who have got their hands on this headset.
I read the ear cups work albeit not perfectly for only the wired version. Wireless version has different ear cups than previous models altogether.
I also read the hinges are the same but they have rubber bumpers to prevent over rotating which reportedly is the typical cause for hinge failure.
Batteries are different.

Hows the sound quality compared to the pro wireless? Never had wireless had the pro with gamedac so hope it isnt a downgrade..

To be honest I don't want to comment before doing EQ settings and dialing things in.
Let me know please 😄

Nova wireless range is 0-22k hz and Pro wireless is 0-40k. Did you notice a difference?

So sticking with the Nova over the pro?
As long as no issues arise, yes.
That’s a shame. I have 4 unused batteries that I bought for the OG Pro Wireless while they were on sale one time lol.
same here

I can't say that I ever experienced that with either.
Did you check to see if you had sidetone active? Or was it persistent even when the mic was muted?
Yeah, the hiss was there no matter what. But on the new Novas there is no hiss at all

Oh that’s dope. Yeah I mean louder.
Isn't the Steelseries Arctis Pro like 40k Hz while the Nova Pro Wireless is only 22k but the Wired one 40k as well? :>
Could be. Ill test if worse ill return. Question is if we hear a difference?
Audiophile might, us mortals probably wouldn't notice much more than maybe it sounding a tiny bit fuller
Did you find them worse?.
They haven’t arrived yet. They come tomorrow.

I’d say maybe you can tell but when then barely, i wouldn’t say I am a true audiophile.
APW could only do 22k wireless but could do up to 40k wired. It’s the same with the APNW. 22k wireless and 40k wired.
u/DarkenedUser why would they reduce it down to 22k? Does that mean 40khz arctis sounds better than Nova?
The Nova Pro's are Hi-Fi Certified, while the Nova Pro Wireless is not.
Ok but on the Steelseries website both of them say they have "Premium High Fidelity Drivers with immersive 360° Spatial Audio\*"
While thats true, only the wired version says Hi-Fi Certified
Not true the wireless version says that too.

Different batteries and hinges are the same as far as I can tell.
