Why do you think Gideon switched from "cocky and confident" to a "shitting himself" after seeing Luke on the security camera? Luke, Vader, and the Emperor walked into a room and only Luke walked out. To any surviving Imps, Luke Skywalker is the goddamn boogy-man.
i mean this isn’t grandmaster luke but he’s still wicked strong, so i imagine he’d just fuck them all up with the force rather than his lightsaber, cause that’s how you deal with them if you’re smart
Oh, but i didn't really think that was some kind of protocol for when luke skywalker shows up. The dark troopers just found luke interferring so switched targets. Unless I missed something
They all immediately stop what they are doing and focus fire or prepare for him. A rational response would be the ones at the dock fight him while the rest break down the door, but instead you heard the breaks squeal
It's a likely assumption. There are a metric ton of dark troopers on board, and yet as soon as the Xwing lands, before Luke is doing anything but walking the halls they immediately stop and draw weapons, waiting to see the outcome of the battles on the lower decks.
Even Gideons face responds to a position that the threat has to be so overwhelming that it can't be ignored. From what we see of Disney Canon at this point, Luke is the only Jedi who is known widely and would be planned for.
It likely follows that the dark troopers had a protocol for attempting to take out the biggest threat in the alliance
Was it something like the “Luke Protocol” or is it that Dark Troopers can calculate the strongest force user in the area?
With the need to use Grogu’s blood in Mando season two I always thought they were calibrated to go after strong force users.
Easily one of the top moments in all Star Wars. Why the sequels didn't focus on peak Luke handing off the torch is the biggest missed home run in the history of cinema
To be fair. In like a week's time. He broke into one of the most heavily fortified stations in the galaxy. Broke out a rebel leader from said station while transporting said stations highly sensitive schematics. Then turning around and blow it up in one shot. Killing over a personnel.
Then proceed to race across the galaxy dodging the Emperor and causing havoc. Growing increasingly powerful and skilled. Becoming even more dangerous.
To the point he is credited with surviving a battle with The Emperor and Darth Vader. On a Space Station that was under attack by HIS friends and escaping.
Imagine the people who escaped the Death Star II’s reaction when seeing Luke exiting the Emperor’s throne room he entered a couple hours ago with Vader, only to see him dragging Vaders almost-corpse with him

Officer: I DON'T CARE ABOUT THE EMPEROR! I'M SAVING MYSELF!
No, the context is that to outsiders that don’t know him (and even those that do) he’s seen as a super powerful, unstoppable warrior. Like the Doomslayer is.
From everyone else’s point of view, Luke was the one who killed both the Emperor and Darth Vader.
pretty much and blew up The Death Star
probably the 2nd one too, according to loyalist propaganda he just flew in and out right before the damn thing blew up
You can’t expect the force to do all the work
well since the force flows through everything, to some degree you can it just happens to do its work through Luke
This is a really cool line. “The force destroyed both Death Stars. Luke was just the best tool for the job”
The Force : well the force sensitive socket wrench was on vacation so I thought eh what the heck a kid with daddy issues might be the next best thing
Force it real good
Just look at how Absolutely Terrified gideon is when he sees that security footage in season 2. He knows Exactly who has just boarded his ship.
A terrorist to him lol
A terrorist that walked into a room with Vader and the emperor then walked out dragging Vader’s body
>A terrorist that walked into a room with Vader and the emperor then walked out dragging Vader’s body Absolute gigachad
THE terrorist.
I never thought of that.
Yeah a very "what the Covenant thinks of Master Chief" moment
They're everywhere !
That's not propaganda. That's just facts Chief is a threat to all
Playing Infinite again now that coop dropped and I can confirm: straight facts
>Now that coop dropped Holy shit, they actually did it! Those crazy bastards. Only took them *over a year...*
The most recent update dropped forge and it’s fucking amazing
Who knows, maybe next year we’ll have a custom game browser or good customisation that doesn’t cost €10!
In fact the Covenant calls all Spartans Demon in the Halo universe during the Human-Covenant War
I always loved that little bit of lore
And I believe (not 100% sure) they call ODSTs imps, as in lesser demons. They also call them assassins but imps is cooler and more relevant.
demon

He's the one you send to kill the fucking boogeyman.
With a fucking pencil!
A fucking pencil! Who the fuck can do that?!?
r/UnexpectedJohnWick
They were terrified of Vader, and he was on their side.
Judging by [Spolier] they were not even a little wrong
What’s the spoiler?
>!Luke’s hallway scene in Mando S2 finale!<
Ohhh I know about that I thought he were referencing something else
I mean as far as I know we haven’t seen dark troopers anywhere else in cannon so idk what else it might be
Prototypes in the bad batch on kamino
I didn’t know about the protocol
The protocol was "fuck whatever you were doing and KILL THAT GUY"
The only difference is Luke is just a skinny kid with a green laser sword and not a heavily armed commando.
If they had Magnaguards, I think they would've whooped Luke... or at least stood a chance
i mean this isn’t grandmaster luke but he’s still wicked strong, so i imagine he’d just fuck them all up with the force rather than his lightsaber, cause that’s how you deal with them if you’re smart
It’s been awhile, but in the finale of Mando I believe Luke uses to force to rip apart the dark troopers more so than his lightsaber.
Wait what? This luke protocol thing can't be from Andor right (haven't watched it yet) cus that is set before palpatine's death
I think it might mean the end of mando where he shows up
Oh, but i didn't really think that was some kind of protocol for when luke skywalker shows up. The dark troopers just found luke interferring so switched targets. Unless I missed something
They all immediately stop what they are doing and focus fire or prepare for him. A rational response would be the ones at the dock fight him while the rest break down the door, but instead you heard the breaks squeal
Yeah I guess, but idk, it doesn't feel like it was intentional.

I am guessing it was a protocol in case some force sensitive person would interfere.
The dark troopers had a protocol to try and deal with Luke.
Where is this told?
not told, show, a the and of The Mandalorian Season 2
Let's be honest the kid was kinda badass. Sure he failed around a lot but he could dispatch of some serious goons.

that's... a good point

yeah, that is beyond a good point Luke is such a chad
Tell me about this protocol
Funnily enough, if I remember correctly, Dark Troopers also caught Luke in (the scrapped cutscenes of) Elite Squadron/Battlefront “3”
Imagine the people who escaped the Death Star II’s reaction when seeing Luke exiting the Emperor’s throne room he entered a couple hours ago with Vader, only to see him dragging Vaders almost-corpse with him

Well, Luke is 🔥

No they are using the doom slayer as Luke because doom slayer is incredibly powerful
No, the context is that to outsiders that don’t know him (and even those that do) he’s seen as a super powerful, unstoppable warrior. Like the Doomslayer is.
