pampersdelight

Firespray sounds way more badass

DMR-Bricks

That’s just the model of ship, not the name

pampersdelight

Im aware. It still sounds way cooler

Rafados47

Slave One

thegraverobber

1. It’s Slave I. 2. It’s been referred to as both throughout the entire history of Star Wars. This is a merchandising move that makes sense for search keywords.

[deleted]

Don’t pretend it’s organic please. It’s just more woke crap from the mouse.

thegraverobber

Lol, what exactly is woke about this? It’s still named Slave I in all media (if you’re actually reading any of the books, which seems unlikely) and in the databank. Are you equally triggered by any merchandising that refers to The Soulless One as ‘General Grievous’s Starship’? If so, might want to take a look at every single Hasbro and LEGO version of that ship. My 1980s Kenner version of this ship refers to it as Boba Fett’s Spaceship on the box. I will never understand how people get upset by merchandise marketing decisions lol.

grandadmiralstrife

never saw anyone get upset in 1980 that the *Executor* playset was named "Darth Vader's Star Destroyer"

[deleted]

I own every Star Wars EU adult novel and many of the young reader series so please don’t come at me with that

thegraverobber

Those were pre-“mouse”, I assume? My point was that it is still referred to as the Slave I in Canon material, but my assumption was that anybody referring to woke or mouse probably wasn’t following the current publications.

[deleted]

Yes the eu is pre mouse. That refers to the universe of over 100 novels, comics, and games that Disney discarded in favor of the new woke Star Wars. You know like “the force is female” and the trans clone in the Queen’s Hope novel.

thegraverobber

Oh no, you must have watched some angry YouTube videos. You’re aware that “the force is female” was a marketing campaign by Nike and was sports-related and had literally nothing to do with Star Wars, right? I love the Legends stuff as well, I grew up on it. There’s plenty to enjoy in both eras. I’m just glad that more Star Wars is being made!

[deleted]

It’s called Slave 1

ArrakeenSun

Coulda sworn that ship had a name...
