World cup is not about consistency, 7 games is such a small sample size, this is why the world cup is exciting worse teams beat better teams. Winning 5 games get you to the top 4! Any alright team can get lucky/be in form for 5 games.

I actually bet on them to win this group, so I'm very happy. But now that I've seen them play a lot, they have some big weaknesses. They are kind of a sloppy team that plays a bit brainless and without composure. They're also not clinical in the final third. Their ceiling is a QF exit probably, but decent chance they go out R16. I like Ziyech a lot, but he's mercurial. Their strikers are pretty terrible. Defense is too erratic to hold up in the long-term.

It was insane. I don't get this decision by Herdman at all. I respect Herdman a lot for what he did for the program and I'm not in the crowd that wants him out but man that decision was a head scratcher. You play against a midfield that has one of the best in the world along with 2 players that are really good and you go with mid, including Hutch? It was basically a 3 on 1 in the midfield. Insane stuff.

It was a huge step forward even qualifying. We have some moments to be proud of, but the inexperience showed. Still proud of the boys.

The difference between beating Belgium and losing was experience. The difference between at least drawing Morocco and losing was two mistakes in 10 seconds. Thin margins at this level. I think getting the goal at the start of the Croatia game will remove the sting for Davies. Even if we were dismantled after that.

We obviously lack quality in our squad, but overall we played fairly well. Probably deserved a point or two for our efforts, but that’s how it goes sometimes. Still awesome to see our country represented at a World Cup, and I’m hopeful that our national program can build off of this.

We have a ways to go with our backline and keeping. World cup is cut throat, the goals we gave up today and a couple against croatia were just flat out comical

Expectations were high for this Canada team and while I felt advancing was unlikely (although I never believed it impossible) I really felt we had the quality to get a Draw or a Win along the way. We wasted a chance against Belgium. We should have definitely squeaked out some sort of result. Our keeper let us down against Morocco as well. Both goals were avoidable. That could have been a Draw in all likelihood. Thrilled to see my country qualify for a World Cup for the first time in my life. So happy to see our first goal scored. But I genuinely feel we did not live up to our own expectations, or properly display what we have proven we are capable of. Great opportunity ahead of 2026 though. And topping CONCACAF qualifiers is something this group can be happy about. Lots of greatness in the future!
