"I used to skip school to watch Musiala play"
The way he is playing, he might actually end up inspiring the next generation. What a prodidy.
Puff Daddy Prodigy
Probably flies with his private jet to each game
I cant tell how much i love watching him play
The best part of this? Watching Upamecano's development. He had a rocky year last year, but he's really found his stride and that purchase looks brilliant at this juncture.
I agree. too bad he's still good for one huge mistake a game. it's like he's top class for 89 minutes, but for one random minute every game his brain goes for a walk and leaves his derp body behind
Lmaooo omg that's honestly the best description of him I've seen so far. Dude is sooooo nice when he plays and you can tell he has the hunger and desire, and is actually really good. But boy boy... When that switch geta flicked for that 5-10sec all hell breaks loose😅😅
Well said. He'll be even better when he can bring a performance over an entire match.
reminds me of jerome boateng at bayern
Upa is basically a Beckenbauer regen 89 minutes every game. Then he becomes braindead for the seconds that matter. There is no in between with him.
11 games 7 goals 4 assists. Goldjunge.
What a player, he is so good.
Bayern will most likely get Wirtz in two years. Another 15 years of dominance
I don't see were he fits
Plenty of space if the 4-2–2-2 becomes a permanent formation for us. Not a likely transfer though.
I think they would buy a striker before
He plays like Jamal. Bayern needs a creator and a #9
Would you be so kind and elaborate, how someone who is in 92 percentile in ast and 98 percentile in xA & shot creating actions as well as in the 99 percentile for npxg + xA not a creator?
He is not the greatest progressive passer, but saying Jamal is not a creator is beyond delusional.
Btw. Wirtz is in the 97, 96, 96 & 91 percentile in the affomentiones stats within the top5 leagues in europe...
How does Wirtz play like Jamal? He is a creator by heart
Müller replacement for the future
CAM is the position we have to worry the least considering our youth. Of course Wirtz is on another level, but with guys like Wanner, Zvonarek, Ibrahimovic and Vidovic we have pretty promising talents our own.
Not the Milan guy, but his son
He is not related to Zlatan though
That’s already Bambi tbh
Musiala's already the Mueller replacement though.
Exactly where Muller is now.
We haven’t signed a player form Leverkusen since Lucio in 2004, and he had a clause.
Probably due to Rudi Völler who retired last year
Offtopic but i don’t understand why LvG didn’t like Lucio anymore in the late 00s, i believe you should’ve kept him
He was a very chaotic player for a defender. While I loved that about him, LvG is known to want everyone organized exactly how he wants.
But yea, he was such a fun player to watch with his random bouts of "fuck defending, I'm gonna dribble this ball from our penalty area right into their goal if i have to".
Cameras loved zooming in on him running back cursing when he failed go score hahaha. Good times!
Would you say most Bayern fans still liked him when he played for you? Despite the „issues“ you mentioned
I don't think it was seen as an issue among the fans since it rarely if ever resulted in huge fuckups and he was still a very good defender when he got phased out. So yea, from what I remember he was generally still very well liked.
Lucio was amazing and we loved him exactly for what he was. However many fans understood Van Gaals point. I was sad back then that Lucio couldnt follow Van Gaals instructions to his satisfaction but in the end Van Gaal is the beginning of Bayerns most dominant phase since the 70s.
Lucio loved a forward run and I don’t think it gelled with LvG’s very organized playing style.
We love LVG
Totally nothing to do with my flair
In 20 years people will tell stuff like "when I was young, other teams besides Bayern could win the Bundesliga"
People already say that lol
I was 8 when we last won the league
I doubt it
No way Leverkusen is selling anybody to them
People say poor from Luke but actually took a pretty significant deflection there.
Bambi is so fucking good. World class player
Talent you mean, great player but the term world class is over used
No. He’s world class. He could start for any team
He hasn't been at that level for a couple of years. Midfielders like Muller, Kimmich, Kdb, Modric, Silva, Fabinho, Verratti, Thiago and etc are players who are world class. Having a great start to the season doesn't mean that a player is world class mate
Bambi strikes again
Musiala is so fun to watch. Smooth and clean and and a nose for goal.
Musiala’s control from driven balls is insane, everyone passing to him are basically just shooting the ball right at him
Hradecky mistake but Musiala is a young God
Hradecky is beyond finished.
It's actually just not fair how good Musiala is. For my money he's already progressed past "Best young player" he is legitimately among the best players in the world.
Regression to the mean kicking in for Bayern. About time
Would it not be 'progression to the mean'?
How can I put Leverkusen in recycle bin?
drag & drop?
I'll hold the bin for you
Musiala is just so good, insane the jump he made from last year...when it was also crazy how good he was lol
The star of the upcoming world cup
*if germany manages to reach the knockout stage
Southgate isn't happy
That was such a bizarre thread. People clowning on Southgate for praising Musiala and him wishing he'd chosen to represent England, but the Germans won he round instead. Hardly controversial.
I think it was the way he phrased it. it was as if the bad German Bayern players brainwashed musiala into believing Germany is better than England, even though he was born in Germany and partly grew up here, his mother is German.. not surprising the boy chose germany
Why are you pretending like the Bayern players didn’t have an influence on his decision??? He said it himself that they did lol
never said they didn't have an influence. What also had an influence was, like I said, he's a native German with his mother also being from here. Southgate expecting Musiala to default to England feels a little arrogant. it was as if he couldn't understand how musiala would choose Germany over England without being influenced
He played for England youth teams from U-15 to U-21. So you would assume he’d continue than switch. Not arrogant at all.
This guy is the best teenager in the world
Hradecky is sooo fucking bad. He is legit the worst keeper in the Bundesliga right now. Selling Grill was a huge mistake.
Bit of an overeaction?
How many Leverkusen matches have you seen this season?
I watched the game against Atletico as well as the game against Dortmund at the beeginning of the season
He used to be one of the better Bundesliga gk but he just seems like he is past his prime.
Ok I had no idea but makes sense looking at where they are in the table.
this isnt based on a single game. Hradecky has had some awful games for a while now
He also has good games, but I dont think the balance checks out in his favor atm
Maybe not this goal but he has been absolutely terrible and cost them multiple points. Made so many individual mistakes.
Nah, its true. He had several shockers this season already.
The comment is clearly exaggerating but he has a point. Hradecky is playing a pretty bad season so far. Not convincing in general but especially with two very costly mistakes in [UCL](https://old.reddit.com/r/soccer/comments/x8eezw/club_brugge_10_leverkusen_sylla_41/) and [Bundesliga](https://old.reddit.com/r/soccer/comments/xgp4bn/leverkusen_11_bremen_veljkovic_82/).
That's a shame. I recall last season he had some great games. Must be on low confidence.
Another shocking performance by Hradecky. He’s kinda always been like that but this season even more so should. Leverkusen should start thinking now about playing Lunev instead of him.
Besser als Messi
When this boy gets injured our NT is out in group stages.
picking up the line from last thread, hradecky is a false goalkeeper
Best U21 player itw
Luke you got to do better :(
What a player!
I think this one hurts more than Rice/Tomori/Guehi
I don’t even care about Rice, we can get him whenever we want but we really don’t need him. Guehi we can still get back (first refusal), Tomori is painful but Musiala hurts so much.
what is going on with hradecky, good lord...
LUKAS FUCK OFF YOU FUCKING CUNT
At least his contract ends in 2023 /s
I‘M SO FUCKING MAD! EVERY FUCKING GAME!
Oh nein, frustrierte Pillen, was für eine Schande 🥺💊
1994 hat angerufen und will seinen Witz zurück.
Who tf is Pedri?
Musiala is better. He is so fucking good man.
They are different players. I think its a disservice for both of them to be compared. Although I have to say I think Musiala might be the most exciting young player I have ever seen at Bayern.
I've watched only a few matches of Pedri and many of Bayern/Musiala. I would really not agree with that comment. They play differently. Pedri is still a bit more technically better, Musiala though reads the game better. All in all two really good you g players who will hopefully continue to dominate for years to come.
Why can people not shit on other players to praise their own
People love comparing every midfield talent to Pedri nowadays and say he's overrated, seems like the standard. Not a surprise since he's one of the best cms atm
A year ago when I was saying he's one of the best talents in the world, everyone would laugh at me trying to claim greenwood, Bellingham or gabi are clear
Who's laughing now?
Considering the humour is German, nobody.
Imagine relying on ungrounded stereotypes to be "funny".
Hrádecký is not good enough anymore.
I swear to god Hradecky is the worst Buli keeper right now.
Hradecky, you’re a prat
Bambi is insane
No Hincapié, no party
What sort of defending is that? I usually stand up for defenders because it’s not easy these days, but that was atrocious.
Man, what a loss for England.
50fps HD sports! Is this what you are getting there over cable?
Best under 21 player in the world?
Imagine if he played for England
Sitting 90 minutes on the bench is not really that spectacular.
