Love the efficiency of the guy handing out the medals
With the blind handoff from his colleague
They're actually relay partners in 4x100. You can see the experience being transferred.
Isn’t that Ceferin?
Yes it is.
I need a montage of his hardcore medal-handing workouts
Fair fucks, beating real betis, Barcelona, West Ham and Rangers is no child’s play and going the entire campaign undefeated. Props to them
Imagine Real Madrid And Frankfurt Fans holding hands and celebrating the title together with a Banner Gracias Jovic
Damn, you just reminded me that they're also gonna play the Super Cup now.
winner keeps jovic, no refunds
Thanks we’ll need replacement for origi
I don't think you would be saying thanks if you watched him play lol.
I only remember his season in Frankfurt when he was scouted by real. This man hits everything, from everywhere if he is in form. He didnt have many chances in that season. But every chance he got was a goal. When he is in form, he is insane
You can take him lol
Imagine Liverpool And Frankfurt Fans holding hands and celebrating the title together with a Banner "Fuck the Queen"
Tears in my eyes
Sign me up
This is a better timeline
Who gets to wear the white shirts on that day though?
Both teams and we introduce MULTIBALL!!!!
they finally jazzed it up
Champions League winner is the designated home team, so if that's Real and they want to play in white, that's their choice to make.
My question was joking / rhetorical but I appreciate you answering it genuinely anyways. =)
Them, Liverpool will play red.
I forgot about that joke and this got me real good, thanks.
I don't want to be that guy, but Frankfurt fans probably sort you in the same category as Leipzig, Bayern etc. Rather play the Rangers any day than your capitalism's abomination yo.
We're the same category as Bayern for sure, definitely not Leipzig. We weren't created by a commercial company as an ad for their products. Additionally our money is due to our history and being the best club, not due to a company/country/oligarch pumping in crazy amounts of money and actively being at an economical loss because they don't care about it.
Go watch the Playoffs buddy
Replay of 1960 hampden park european cup final on the cards, another 7-3 would be fun to watch
Absolute legends. I love Glasner and provided we do good business in the coming transfer period we'll have potential for another great season next year
I was kinda indifferent about Glasner at Wolfsburg, he did a great job but came off as a meh personality (or maybe it was the Wolfsburg stink, who knows) but I've really warmed up about him. Great stuff and a pleasure to watch internationally. Serves Hütter right lol.
Glasner has the vibe of a P.E. teacher but he's a real G.
Funnily engough he was planning to become a teacher originally
Fun fact: I met Niklas Dorsch in Munich last summer and he said he had an offer from Frankfurt but he denied because he didn't want to play under Glasner. Well what it could have been. 🤷🏽♂️
Echt wahr?
Was'n Dorsch.
Well, you have an additional fifty million euros now
Which is huge for Frankfurt. Might also mean someone like Ndicka or Kostic sign another contract. We also have Kolo Muani already secured for the summer. But with CL football we definitely need more depth, so I'm looking forward to our signings.
> Might also mean someone like Ndicka or Kostic sign another contract.
Hope they stay at least for the next season. Enjoying the CL season with Eintracht that they earned themselves.
Especially for Ndicka it makes sense to sign a new contract, playing CL with Frankfurt so that some PL club will pay >45m € for him in the next years.
Honestly Ndicka and Kostic would be kinda stupid to leave. I know that they would probably get more money by leaving but I hope that Frankfurt will provide a very good incentive for them, would be so good for the Bundesliga as a whole as well.
Stupid how? They for sure should be playing at a higher level than a midtable Bundesliga squad. Especially Kostic.
Yeah but I feel as if Frankfurt is a pretty great place to be, he would have the chance there to be a legend for the club if they can mount any kind of CL challenge next year.
Of course he can go to another bigger club but then he would probably be just another good player among others.
Well the new season started, so it's all reset now. What stands is that Frankfurt will be a Pot 1 CL Team, which is definitively a great incentive
Wait, fifty? I read something along the lines of 8 million a few days ago, for winning the final.
+16 million guaranteed for CL group stage, so at least 24 million
It's around 16 million for making group stages. On top of that you also make around 3 mil per win in the group stages and around 1 mil for a draw.
And on top of that you also get extra money depending on your coefficient points over the past 10 years. This year that earned Real MAdrid an extra 36 million, while Ajax earned an extra 20 million and Sheriff got only 1 million.
Looking at their currect coefficient rank(26th) they'll net another 8 million.
So group stage qualification is 24 million on top of the 8 million for winning the EL, meaning total money earned is already at 32 million with the possibility of making a lot more through wins or draws.
edit: Money earned through coefficient ranking could possibly be higher since it is possible that clubs with a higher coefficient ranking didn't qualify for the CL. I see atalanta and Lyon are placed above them, so thats already 2 places up, meaning Frankfurt will get 10m instead of 8m
He‘s probably talking about CL money
I guess that's including the cl groupe stage money
Yeah I also read it's between 8 and 9 million
You will also get 13 million to start in Champions league which is really good for you.
Lmao imagine Hütter watching this from home unemployed, serves him right
So cold! Lmao
god i hope the snake fucking seethes
Wait i just realised his first name is Adolf (knew Adi was short for Adolf but never thought he'd actually be called Adolf).
I thought Adolf was banned and you couldn't name children it? or is that only in Germany
Well especially in rural Austrian areas people still name their kids Adolf.
Also I have a lot of customers in my company named Adolf in Germany born after 1960.
Never heard of any ban. It was quite a common name so people name them after family usually. Hutter was named after his uncle or something too.
does his uncle live in Argentina by any chance? or are you being serious?
dude, we already got a fantastic striker, even without the Champions League money!
Can't wait for Muani! Expecting big things from him. Great time to be an SGE fan :)
I love Hinteregger, man looks like a random guy they picked up on the street rather than their best CB
He was a wonderkid back in FM12-13 that’s all I remember of him
He also behaves like that random bloke. He’s a super funny guy, and we love him to bits!
Beers already cold! Hinti is legend. All of SGE are legends!
He looks like a fat Timo Werner
that is part of why we love him!
He looks like Paddy Pimblett in off-season
Am I the only one who yhinks he kinda looks like wroetoshaw
Wir haben die Eintracht im Endspiel gesehen!
MIT DEM JÜRGEN!!
SIE SPIELTEN SO GUT AND SIE SPIELTEN SO SCHÖN!
See you on the Römer?
no cant be there, have to watch at home. hope you make a ton of noise tho!
Oh that’s a shame :-/
Mit dem Kevin
Herzlichen Glückwunsch aus Italien! Die Fans können stolz auf euch sein! Forza SGE!💪🏻🔴⚫️⚪️
GG to Frankfurt. I am happy for them but I can’t deny as a Wolfsburg fan (don’t ask me why I even support them) that I’m somewhat jealous aswell. After we fired Glasner everything went downhill for us and now he wins the EL. At least he proves again that Schmadtke is an idiot
Schmadtke is weird for sure, first he says he plans with FloKo for next season now hes fired aswell
Wait why the fuck did he fire a manager that got them 3rd place in the BuLi?
because he is impossible to work with. schmadtke has had falling outs with all of Wolfsburg recent managers, because they all had problem working with him
Schmadtke is a great manager (he had some stinker transfers but who doesn't), the gigantic problem with him and probably the reason why he never worked at a "big" club, is his personality. The guy is genuinely a cunt. He ends up fighting with every coach, no matter how good they perform, fires them, hires a new one and starts fighting again. I actually can't imagine someone getting along wth him.
Our clubs management is the worst in the Bundesliga
Hertha looking at you like...
Dont forget Hsv
>worst in the Bundesliga
ups, well they might be back in the bundesliga in a week
But then Hertha would no longer be haha
It was bad, its getting better
Schalke surely deserve a shout.
There was a big exodus last summer and we improved a lot under Schröder. The only major mistake this season was in hindsight, not sacking Grammi sooner
Yeah that's fair. Congrats on promotion btw, wb to the Buli!
Well deserved. Their pressing game was insane against us. With how intense it was, I thought they would slow down by like 70 mins but nah, kept up that intensity for 2 full games.
Something I've noticed with their playstyle too. Their pressing is crazy and it really difficult play out of even for the very technically gifted players.
Honestly well played Frankfurt they fully deserved it in the end. Never easy going to penalties but they held their composure well til the end and deserved to win the title. Obviously I'm gutted, but glad to see it won by another apparent underdog in the tournament
Could have been my words if we had lost !!! Thanks for the great final match !
Borre surpassed all my expectations. Big up
the man is a genuine treasure
Him and pacienca loved the celebrations Inside the stadium, was so fun to see
Paciencia always shows how much he fucking loves this club, i love that guy so much
DIE HESSE KOMME!
Had to include the slide lmao
Still in absolute shock. From relegation in my first season supporting the club, now to this.
I love this club so much.
What a story to hear. Enjoy bro
The Rangers fans like to think they're loud but your fans drowned their shite chants out of the stadium for the full match. Congrats. The vast majority of Scottish football fans will be glad you won
I was surprised how quiet the Rangers fans were. On the tv you could see the Frankfurt fans bobbing up and down while the Rangers fans looked on. It was like the 10th minute as well.
I thought at first it might have just been the way the mics were positioned, but then I heard some sectarian chants after they scored so it was just because they were shit
I don’t think they were shit, the thing with Frankfurt is that the Ultra scene is very organized and has very good capos… so the chants are better coordinated
You'd need to "take it with a grain of salt" that most Scottish clubs don't like Rangers? The same support that notoriously exclaims"nobody likes us, we don't care"? The same support labelled" the shame of Scotland"?
Mate, yous are the Millwall of Scotland.
I would assume that every other Scottish club hates Rangers/Celtics unless they're alligned religiously
Idk man, being an intolerant, fascist sympathising, monarchy boot licking, weirdo does not make you a very popular man in Scotland. Most of the support can't even tell you why they support the club. It's always some shite like "ma da done, he's da done it, so I'm gonna do it". Go have a peak at r/glasgow if you want to see how popular they are amongst non degenerates.
Or watch a video of an orange walk. That should make things crystal clear.
fucking same. i started watching Eintracht when people like Van Lent, Skela or Copado where our stars. Now we're here.
Erwin Skela Fußballgott!
Heartwarming story. Congratulations, friend!
Fair play to those Rangers fans who stuck around for the trophy lift. I can't imagine how difficult it must've been to watch.
I’m hypnotized by the dude shaking their hands and grabbing medals without looking at the exact same time
Considering who the beat to get here, and the fact they didn’t lose once in the competition, I think we can say they are truly deserved winners.
Does Frankfurt have any Colombian players??
Rafael Santos Borre
Never could have guessed. Cheers.
Heroes the lot of them
Why do the presentation in the middle of the pitch and not right in front of the Frankfurt fans?
I mean the presentation of UEFA and FIFA trophies is always in the middle on the pitch, they don't move the stage to either side ever, in WC finals, Euro finals, CL finals or EL finals
Except for the terrible yet traditional Uefa Champions League presentation at Old Trafford.
thank you for clarifying what you meant
They do that in every final don’t they?
aye, but why?
Probably because of tv reasons or something.
they brought the cup to the fans immediately afterwards
They've done it before in the stands amongst all the suits and it was fucking awful.
I like your idea though. Just pointing out what the alternative has been.
The Europa League trophy has always been a banger not gona lie.
Well done Eintracht Frankfurt, with love from Scotland
Needs to work on his slide distance!
The commentary here on BT Sport is so much better than the commentary we get in the US… the blokes on Paramount+ just kept saying basic things like “look at the players!”, “they will celebrate tonight!”, and “the fans are so happy” even though we have Peter Drury
That commentating was a little too much for my taste. But I guess it's better than no emotion and superlatives
The fans in the background don't look too into it. No limbs or anything. Are they ok?
Tbf apparently they weren't sold any water in that hot weather. I guess they're exhausted out of their minds.
Yeah that suprised me as well
Love to see it, but I can’t help but feel awkward for the guy who’s entire job is standing behind the end guy subtly handing him the medals not even being acknowledged.
Champion's League is won by Bankers. Europa League is won by Architects.
No team deserved it more than them
Knauff: from third league to EL-winner
What a career.
They finished 11 in their league but will be in the champions league, damn!
This was epic
On-field stage ceremony is around 8962 times better than balcony ceremony.
Imagine Mourinho doing this celebration
I wish this subreddit had a discord. I would so go there and talk shite right now haha.
But big up to Glasgow. Football could not have had a better final for this! What a fantastic crowd!
Damn, Barcelona didn’t even win Europa league? Lol
Lacazette still a better diver
Would have been boring to go with Sterling
Poor saps don’t even know yet that their CL group next year will be Madrid, City, and Porto.
Do ya really think they care?
Won't happen beacuse they're in Pot 1, so at least one big club.
Let me guess….we’re looking at Bayern’s new future boss since the jury’s out with nagelsmaan despite winning the bundesliga again (yawn)
They are so not used to winning trophies that they failed to position themselves in the middle of the podium lol
