DarthBaller

His minutes to goal involvements ratio must be nice

Spoor

If Cancelo and Coman (nice titles / season ratio) had a baby, his name would be Gerd.

3xavi

That's how you answer the Bild noise of the recent days

Jganzo13

That was more him answering the mistake he made in the opening goal

Sal21G

Just inevitable it was to be him

cMcDozer4

Heard r/soccer was talking shit

kooba_1616

Back to reality

Teffo05

The media bias against him is crazy he wants too play bohoo top player wants to play no shit.

DatDominican

When you have the most minutes of any defender and move to a club where you play less, you set yourself up for the criticism. Especially when you allegedly care more about your minutes than the club winning and challenge the manager to a fist fight because you’ve been benched as a result of your poor form

myreal_nameis

He did what?

DatDominican

Reports said last straw [was he squared up to pep in training](https://reddit.com/r/MCFC/comments/10p6zp0/joao_cancelo_squared_up_to_pep_during_training) Once he was told he wasn’t starting and had to be restrained by Dias and Foden Edit: [added non kfc tier post ](https://reddit.com/r/MCFC/comments/10p1rid/jack_gaughan_revealed_joao_cancelos_relationship/)

julianface

KFC tier is hilarious

myreal_nameis

Maybe you should mention that it's most likely completely false, when you do bring that up.

DatDominican

If you go through the post it mentions there are reports from more credible sources mentioning a similar incident . eg [Gaughan is listed as tier 1 on the subreddit ](https://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-11692327/Joao-Cancelos-relationship-Pep-Guardiola-DETERIORATED-leading-heated-chats.html) [MCFC reporter reliability ](https://reddit.com/r/MCFC/comments/umaq6c/mcfc_journalist_transfer_reliability_guide_2022/) We’re more than likely never going to get either side to mention it directly as it doesn’t help anyone to bring it up . If he comes back it’s better to move forward and if he’s sold you don’t want clubs thinking “if he did that to pep why wouldn’t he do that to (manager x)”

ivysforyou

Wtf

asr010601

Sign him Brazzo

prestigiousdumb

No offence but I think he should play for a team that starts him every game, so I think he should go to Real

bravotwodelta

Real… Betis or Salt Lake?

Descartavelmente

Real Madrid. Or Maybe Barcelona, depending on their financial ingenuity. He could also win La Liga, which is the one that he'll miss, after grabbing the Bundesliga

bravotwodelta

It was a joke, I know he meant Real Madrid :) I should have added an /s Cancelo would likely never join a non-CL club.

OilOfOlaz

I think, that he is flexible enough to start most of the games, or pretty much "all" of the games, the issue is, that he hasn't trained a lot with the team and Bayern jsut made a major shift in the formation, as well as Coman playing on "his Position" out of his mind. JN utilised a variable/hybrid formation at Hoffenheim and Leipzig a lot, where he would switch from a 3 atb to a 4 atb within the game, with Stani & Hernandez being able to play two different roles in that and Cancelo being able to play as a CM/DM would for example allow Musiala and Kimmich to play further up the pitch and Coman to provide width with a 3atb formation as well. I would love for Bayern to sign him, but not for 70m.

DeffDeala

Had to be him

Insanel0l

Rught answer to the dumb media

prestigiousdumb

And to dumb subreddit *cough cough*

herrkuchenbaecker

why is the media dumb? dude went to bayern because he didnt want to sit on the bbench only to be sat on the bench hardly believe hes thrilled about it

PuntoPorPastor

No professional player should be thrilled about sitting on the bench, but it's not like it is a huge crisis either.

Mapplestreet

And no professional player goes to Bayern on a short notice loan and expects to start every game from the first day

herrkuchenbaecker

i guess you dont know that, thats why journalist sometimes have sources for their claims

PuntoPorPastor

Bold of you to assume BILD people are journalists.

daffer_david

True, barely people in the first place

julesvr5

Because Bild always starts drama. They also said Sané was late for training. Was he? No he wasn't, but Bild didn't care.

herrkuchenbaecker

how do you know he wasnt?

julesvr5

Because Nagelsmann confirmed it in the press conference and called out BILD for it.

BlueberryBroad1990

They Bild different

TheCatInTheHatThings

Augsburg-upset is Canceloed.

jonathan1503

Man the cancelo discussions are gonna be a fucking roller coaster

SWSIMTReverseFinn

He is sure is a good player

prestigiousdumb

Not according to this sub

mariogotse

ah, it was fun while it lasted

Escalator7

Give him the contract

SnooOranges357

It can also be a good attribute if a player who just arrived at a new club still has the confidence in himself to demand a starter role. If Nagelsmann understands how to manage that energy he could become a force for us.

Black_XistenZ

Yes, but he's definitely not worth 70m.

iamthepantalone

Best right back in the world not worth 70m lol

Black_XistenZ

70m is indeed a big ask for a 29 year old player on one of the most pace- and mileage-dependent positions in football, who struggled to get sufficient playing time on two consecutive clubs, and who has a reputation for a bitchy attitude and falling out with his managers.

Black_XistenZ

The doubt is not so much about his current ability or shape, it's about where he'll be in 2-3 years. Fullbacks tend to peak and decline early. You don't want to invest 70m into a player whose age-based decline might set in within 2 years. Not when you already have 3.5 other quality options for his position (Coman, Stanisic, Mazraoui, Pavard if really necessary).

prestigiousdumb

I really hope Cancelo is a consistent starter for a big teamin Europe next year. I think he fits Real Madrid and Barcelona really well.

demnfirefarts

World class right back at a reasonable price and who we actually need? No thanks

EastOfEden_

Ehh reasonable price? Isn't the buy option €70m?

demnfirefarts

Yes , but given that he has fallen out of favour with pep and with Bayern not interested to trigger the option, city would most likely want to sell him for a lower price, around 45-50m I suppose

Prudent-Current-7399

Is he is worth 40 million then bayern will just buy him . They ain't buying just, cuz of the 70 mill

X-Maquina

Reasonable price? Has anthing been quoted yet beside the alleged 70m clause in this loan?

hej989

Barcelona as a big team lol

Dargast

Joao!!!

nutelamitbutter

Angry Bayern?

watanabelover69

Angry Joao

2ndRoundEuroStash

Sufficient-Host-4446

Please I need someone to tell me that there is still a chance we can keep him

Usingabrainunlikeyou

Which app or software is that? All the channels in one place at the 6sec mark in the video.

Flamengo81-19

dragon8811

Video still not up ffs

Pow67

“This video is now processing”

Descartavelmente

Cancelo: u/Baystu said wot?

Baystu

He says: Thats why cancelo plays and stanisic not

Descartavelmente

Maybe now, but that wasn't what he was saying.

Baystu

I literally wrote that 3 minutes before ur comment 😂

TheCarbonConnection

Cancelo seems more like a winger than a fullback never knew he had it in him to be that proactive with his shot.

Descartavelmente

How could you know? He only played for obscure sides like Benfica, Valencia, Inter, Juve, City and Portugal's nt.

TheCarbonConnection

right and you tell me if anyone has had the time to watch Benfica, Valencia, Inter, Juve, City, and Portugal's NT when Cancelo played in each of these teams on top of the club they actually follow lmao

Descartavelmente

Ah, yes, because it's so hard to catch any UCL, EPL, La Liga, WC, Euros, etc. matches

JC18_

Guys let's make love, not war😭😭🤣🤣

Descartavelmente

It's all fun and banter 😂

hexperson

He played at RM for Valencia already.

cppn02

What's this LQ submission? Couldn't have cut out the first 10 seconds?

LA4lyf

😔

p_Lama_p

That's why he didn't play against PSG oh wait

Baystu

Thats why he plays and not stanisic

herrkuchenbaecker

wtf is that keeper doing and the defender not doing anything either literaly childs play

Share4aCare

We would be so dumb not to even go for him

supersaiyaninfinite

C'mon cancelo! We've gotta sell you to psg for 90 million euros after all!
