Looking at an index in the next month, what would you recommend for VR experience ?
I'm mainly an AC player but have a 3 month free trial to iracing.
On a 2070S. Will upgrade in 6 mos, probably to the $800 price point.
Have an 850W gold should be fine.
Can afford a 3080 12gb now looking to hopefully get a 40 series
It's just a mental thing I always buy every other generation. its got less to do with whether it starts with a 3 or a 4 and more to do with I feel like I'm being excessive buying too frequently
End of year will be 3 years so I'll feel better lol
All the regular games I play still run fine on the 2070, not a huge graphical nut. Just worried about VR experience. If I wait a year for a 40 that's probably fine as well
Fine in iracing, 100%
What is ur cpu? It can make a big difference.
I have a 3070ti and it crushes with the reverb G2 brother has a 3060ti and it also runs great with the G2. Both have 5600x for CPU
I have a 1070ti and play on 1.4x with stable 90fps, so you will definitely be fine
The resolution multiplier in the Oculus app is worthless, since 1.0 is just a recommended resolution based on your specs. The full resolution of Q2 is 2736\*2736 per eye, it needs to be higher than the panel resolution to achieve panel resolution after correcting for lens distortions, anything below that is still under-sampling technically speaking. The benefit to rendering above that is quite small compared to the extra performance needed and you're generally better of targeting higher refresh rate or better graphics quality
I have 3060 ti and it performs well with my rift s
>(Edit - Well, not "no chance", but that only applies to iRacing. As soon as you try another sim you'll experience ASW, which is not fun)
Never tried AMS2 huh? I have a lessor CPU (R-3600x) and a 3060ti.....I get 90fps in ams2 with a reverb no prob.
ignore this post... person can't set up tech obviously
