Buy 99% and dilute it yourself. Often times the price for 99% and 70% are the same, so you get more from the 99%

This is fair advice. I find it convenient to just use 70%, but dilution may pinch you a few cents each bottle, and that all adds up in the end.

The spawn will also colonize at room temperature. Just place the bags somewhere in your living room and you'll be fine

So I’ve decided to start off with 2 bags as opposed to the 4. Ditching the mono tub entirely and instead buying a seed heating mat. I feel like this list is a pretty solid final list but I will take any further advice or tips :)

Be sure to keep a gap between the mat and your myc. Heating mats are notorious for drying out substrate.

Do I use the mat as soon as I inject the spore into the substrate or once the mycelium is spread?

Be careful with the heating mat. Iv personally seen people ruin good grows with 1 small mistake using them. Im with unemployedmt on that one. Also iv seen a house burn down next door to mine due to a heat mat. Be careful and have fun

Wait so if you’re ditching the monotub, what are you putting your substrate and colonized grains into instead cause a seed mat in not a medium to spawn to bulk. Also what is the room temp in your grow area? The seed heating mat really may not be needed and I have researched them before and found most people recommend against it. And if you have cleaning products already and you’re buying alcohol, what’s the need for Lysol? Just wipe down your work areas using that. If anything, get some bleach in case something contams and clean with that.

Yea I was just watching PGT last night and he also stated Lysol isn’t something recommended to use.

While you are at it, i recommend some pre poured agar and dr myc mgp+ to help eliminate any possibly contam when mixing to bulk. Up your success rate. I love the stuff. Never had a bad tub while using it. Also recommend a vacuum sealer with bags. You will eventually end up with more mushies than you know what to do with. I had this problem.
