It looks like an illustrator autotrace of a detailed image, and then a shitty transfer on the leg, and then a shitty ink interpretation of the shitty transfer of the shitty autotrace

Now I kinda feel for people who ended up with bad tattoos. I'm guessing a lot of them were sold a stencil they didn't actually get.

I have a huge black blob on my arm because a tattoo artist, "wanted to try out" their new big shader, and completely filled in what was supposed to be the outline of a full color tattoo. I kept asking why it was so dark, and they just kept telling me that it was going to lighten up a ton once it heals. It never did, and they left the shop a month later, the owner said he'd "try and fix it", but i don't think he has the skill so im just left with an arm covered in regret for trusting this artist. It was the last tattoo I ever got, and i was in the middle of a sleeve. Thankfully it's mostly above the short sleeve line, so only I have to see it, but every time I take a shower I wish it were gone. Removal is more than I can afford, so I just live with it.

Part of this would fall on the idiot who didn’t do any prior research into the artist, who saw how it was going and let them continue, and presumably paid for it and allowed the photo shoot as it progressed. It’s amazing what some people can’t see.

I just don’t understand how the stencil can be so developed - indicating they know what they’re doing….and then the tattoo looks like someone totally different stepped in… But the tattooer had to make the drawing for stencil there’s no other way…I don’t get this at all

I’m 1000000%%%% sure the image was not made by the tattoo artist. The tattoo lacks even the simplest bit of technique and knowledge of anatomy. The stencil had a lot more accurate details (like the hands and eyes). I’m betting the client saw the picture online and the tattoo “artist” said they could totally do it.

Plenty of artists trace better artists work and then destroy it on someone’s skin. Happens all the time in these shitty shops.

Yikes! When I was 18 I got a pretty underwhelming tattoo from a "shop owner" with 25 years tattoing experience. Not anywhere close to as bad as this shitstain of a tattoo. But I found out the hard way, some shope owners have to open their own shop because nobody will hire them!!

Looks like the stencil on the left eye, or the one on our right, was wiped off and as a result it ended up being too big compared to the other one. Maybe that was intentional, idk. The idea of it I dont hate, and with some adjustments it could be pretty good tbh. But it just looks off.
