Get an egg on there and I'm all over it!

-Miss__Information-

Not bad? Mate, this is fine dining right there. Nothing better.

BabyVegeta19

Do you speak-a my language?

MrDCM9932

He just smiled and gave me a Vegemite sandwich

Whale-n-Flowers

And he said "I toasted the bread just right now! Then added tomatoes on top here. Could you taste - could you taste the pepper? You gotta eat. You gotta try one more"

Launtoc

You know what this needs? A pickled onion.

SpaceIco

V I T A L I T Y

Panther_Modern_

I'm a pommie so I'll have to try this with Marmite but this looks fantastic

niinliives

Are Vegemite and Marmite similar in flavor? I’ve tried one but not the other.

Panther_Modern_

Yeah they’re similar flavors but very different textures, Vegemite has the consistency of peanut butter while Marmite is more syrupy

Sir_Oligarch

r/foodporn

massterbeef

This is good

bort-bort-bort

Going to have to give this a go. I love Vegemite and avo, but this looks good.

Bionic_Otter

Yeah Vegemite and avo is great, probably even better I reckon, but if you find yourself in the mood for something a bit lighter and tangier then this may hit the spot!

lacrima0

…or if your wallet finds itself in the mood for something a bit lighter

BonoSlayer

When everyone's getting grumpy cos it's early I have breakfast with my girlfriend And we'll have toast With avocado And tomato And veeeeegemiiiiite Vegemite - King Gizzard and the Lizard Wizard

Ok-Cryptographer7997

For vitality

memanator2

how does vegemite taste,I never tried it

Bionic_Otter

Savory, like I think out of the 5 flavours it's mainly salty + umami. If you imagine stock as a spread you won't be completely wrong, in fact I occasionally use it in broths, but mainly it's a spread.

memanator2

mmm sounds cool, hope I can try it someday

axf72228

Margarine or butter tames it quite a bit.

sirens_sirens

oh, fuck me up fam 😻

chrischi3

If you listen closely, you can hear an italian commiting unalive by pasta right now.

kipwrecked

Local Italians also eat this

immenselysleek

That's a delicacy!

fleccyboii

Is vegemite anything like marmite?

MrDCM9932

It’s better

vexedbredbin

I disagree.

Major_Bad_8197

Definitely can confirm, not shitty.

[deleted]

It’s not bad because it is a perfect food!

zebenix

I'd eat that. Marmite is better though

garfieldphilosophy

You will go straight to Hell.

AwkwardInmate

Honesty is overrated anyways.

macram

Can’t stand the Vegemite.

MattMayo94

I do this with marmite. Or marmite and cheese

StevesRoomate

I love Vegemite. This looks like a great idea.

meat-cutter85

I love Vegemite but I hate raw tomatoes. Might try it with sundried tomatoes though...

Whole2PercentMilk

Please don’t do that

MrDCM9932

It’s an Aussie delicacy and is god tier

mickeltee

She just smiled and gave me a Vegemite sandwich.

Easy-Concentrate2636

End piece of the loaf?

Bionic_Otter

Yeah but in hindsight it deserved better

Ol-DirtMcgirt

What the fuck is vegemite?

Bionic_Otter

Broadly similar to promite / marmite etc. I think it's some of the leftovers from beer making which they realized they could turn into a spread and sell. It's based on some kind of yeast extract I think. Has a savory / salty taste.

Ol-DirtMcgirt

Interesting. Gotta try it now. Can I get it in Denmark?

pldiguanaman

Is that still made by Kraft?

Bionic_Otter

Just checked and apparently it's now Bega cheese limited. But as far as I can tell it tastes the same.

Fluffyfingers123

What does Vegemite taste like? I make the same sandwich except with Mayo instead of Vegemite

south_bronx_parasyte

B vitamins and salt with a slight beef flavor. Kinda like sucking on a bouillon cube. If you can’t stand the taste of vitamins you won’t like it

Foundation_Wrong

I’d eat that!

I_might_be_weasel

Pretty similar to a tomato sandwich.

TheDankGhost

Try cherry tomatoes next. They're sweeter than they are sour so it might work better. Never tasted vegemite tho, so no idea
