"Yeah nah this boss was too easy bro, I beat him 1st time with my RoB and +10 mimic tear, I can't fathom why you could be struggling! š¤·š»āāļø"
This is my take. Fully Grown Fallingstar Beast has insane physical resist. So I'll swap my Greatsword from Heavy to Fire. But changing my whole build to full Arcane to bleed out Malenia? Fuck that.
The irony of my comment is that every build has access to something that can make Malenia a lot easier without respeccing. Flame of the Redmanes is probably the most notable.
I went pure STR on Malenia. Charged heavy attacks and just using my greatsword as a shield to survive past waterfowl, and bam, fight done. Took like 40 attempts, but it worked.
Flame of the redmanes seemed bad to me. I had to free aim it to get her to not dodge it and there's a risk she does a move with hyper armor and ignores having her stance broken. Maybe I was just doing it wrong.
Yea. It's not a completely free win in that you cant just spam it, but it does 40 stagger damage so itll stun her in 2 hits, her main weakness is fire, and it's got good range. The main thing I learned when studying her moves is that shes most vulnerable when you play at medium range, so things like Impaling Thrust or powerstanced whips are top tier strats.
The problem is if she does a hyper armor move (like the dodge for example) on your 2nd flame she will just ignore the stance break and start regaining stance health.
I had the easiest time with fire fists. Fast and high posture damage (and Iād been using flame of the red manes all game which is more OP than Iād like to admit lol).
Malenia: Oh? You are approaching me? Instead of respeccing away, you come right to me?
John Dark-Souls: Can't bonk the shit out of you without getting closer.
You donāt even need to spec into arcane to bleed down Malenia tbh. Strength build with base arcane will still melt her if you use something like Bloody Beastmanās Curved Swords.
The only reason I don't like sorcery is that until 50+ INT, most sorceries are not useful. Rock sling is good, Glintstone Pebble/Shard are good, and the Carian sword spells are good. Everything else falls behind until your INT is big.
A note on the Carian Greatsword spell: the timing in between swings really messes with enemy npc recovery. I stunlock humanoid NPCs and 100-0 them with the Carian Greatsword. Really helpful with hard invader NPCs.
Squiddy- I didn't ask for any of that and I'm too dumb to get it right away, butt I'll keep checking this comment as I come along in my quest for blue nerd respect
She can be a pain if her spirit ash thing goes for wolves or dragon. Getting the Stars of Ruin lite and wolves can chain together a nasty situation, and the dragon is just beeeeg and hurts like crazy if they roll catch you.
Faith builds have a crazy amount of tools for every situation. Resistances/buffs/heals? Done. Fire damage? Done. Frost damage? Done. Lightning? Done. Magic damage? Done. Scarlet Rot? Done. Holy? Done.
Unga bunga works fine, but there's a special kind of feeling when Ice Lightning just melts a pack of enemies, or when you get Rot on a boss. It makes me feel like I'm playing Sekiro, where I have all the tools to become the boss.
That was my first real playthrough. I was going to go straight strength unga bunga, but then I found the Church of Dragon communion, and changed my mind real quick. Giant, devastating dragon attacks are so satisfying to chunk enemies with.
Thereās so many good faith based weapons blasphemous blade, doot doot envoy long horn, golden order greatsword, Godslayer GS (more quality/faith but still), I love how good faith is in this game. On top of all that you got access to about 3 or 4 damage sources and the best buffs in the game
Probably one of the best all around weapons in the game. Rocks in regular play and in invasions. Great scaling (triple Cās is solid), great damage type, and Greatswords are pretty solid.
Iād say itās even great in duels since you can heal off phantom hits of the weapon art, but thatās kinda cheesy.
The one time I did respec because I was having so much trouble with a boss was when I realized the weapon I was using scaled with dex and not strength and I was like āooooohhhhā
If you went to rennala at all for anyth8ng other than meme builds you are not worth my time (a very cool AND virile soul player who definitely fucks a lot).
This reminds me of the time I fought valiant gargoyles, and them respecced into a pure int sorcery build with only rock sling as my main spell because I have fucking had it with that damn duo boss
Respecced back to my quality build after the fight, and not a single boss has ever made me revert back to the sorcery build, not even the foreskin duo
Elden Ring was the first Soulsborne game in the entire saga where I purposely respecced to an INT build because I thought the spells actually looked fun to use and were not all the same pew-pews but different sized (except the glintstone spells)
This is also my first Soulsborne game (I beat DS3 recently but with a pure physical build) and it is unreal how much more fun Faithheads have than Intcels
Faith gets flame powers, abyssal flame powers, Jesus powers, lightning powers, dragon powers, blood god powers, insanity god powers, and earthen beast powers
Intelligence gets blue zaps and icy blue zaps and sometimes gravity wells
if I knew bestial incantations were so cool I would've went with that instead of INT tbh. Looks more fun. But all I wanted was an excuse to use the Moonlight Greatsword because it's the coolest weapon in the game so it kinda balances out
I will admit that I had plenty of fun with the Zweihander in Ds3, but Dex just seemed like a good change of pace. Especially with the increased speed and range of the bosses.
mind you, Faith in this game is realistically two classes of magic with miracles and pyromancies. It was a very odd change in my opinion that didn't really need to happen.
Elden Ring really needs more stuff that scales off Int and Fth like DS3 pyro. You've got 1 weapon and a handful of spells that aren't worth building around.
Legit, aye. Move dragon, pyros, and madness spells back to pyromancy flame. Dragon spells can stay faith+arcane, but make flame based damage int+faith, with dark pyromancies leaning more int and madness leaning more towards faith.
That already makes int+faith worth while, but then add a couple of hybride casting items like Scepter of the All-Knowing being for sorceries and miracles, then the 0 weight seals, like the Dragon Communion Seal and Frenzied Flame Seal being used for both miracles and pyromancies.
I'm also a bit of a faith simp and like roleplay as a right and proper cleric, so I sorta hated the idea that miracles were seen as evil in this universe for some reason.
I leveled up both faith and intelligence expecting hexes and pyromancies to work the same way they did in DS2/3. I got it completely wrong of course but my spell variety makes the game so fun for me
My only issue with Faith is that unless you're using a Faith-scaling weapon or an incantation that requires more than like 30 Faith, you're actually better off as an Arcane build since they get an S-scaling seal and can also take advantage of broken bleed weapons
magic in the older games are just spamming like azure comet over and over again, one of the main reasons there was a big stigma against INT players when elden ring came out
I've done a sorcery, an incantation, and a colossal weapon build so far and the sorcery build was by far the most fun one. And I almost always go pure melee in the souls trilogy.
Canāt say they ever gave me much trouble, usually able to kill the first without much interference from the second. Feels that way for a lot of the duo fights other than Godskin at least.
Respecced from a pure int build to a pure str + giantcrusher build to kill Godfrey. Respecced back to int after being bullied by a dragonfly for 10 mins straight š„²
I fought pre-patch Crystallians on my bow build, and didnāt even think to use a Greatbow.
Worst experience Iāve had in souls game since Bed of Chaos or dying to Dancer more than I did to Nameless King.
Theyāre arenāt nearly as bad as a lot of people make them out to be, dunno if you did this but making use of the pillars in the room makes it very manageable
Was doing a sl30 build for PvP shenanigans. I had enough of Foreskin duo so I respecced to pure int, one shot build. Put those bitches to sleep, set up the azur nuke and absolutely shat on those fat fucks and didnāt feel any cheese remorse. Those two donāt deserve a fair defeat.
See my character is wearing this particular piece of clothing because it is a family heirloom passed down from her deceased grandmother who she was very close to
This is the way. My sorcerer is gonna stay a sorcerer and my thief is gonna stay a thief damn it, different encounters being harder or easier with different builds is part of the replay value
Exactly. But u gotta make lore tho. Like I have 10 different characters, 6 of them being made and I play only 2 of them. Made this whole story about a god stepping down and trying to ascend a bunch of humans into godgood as new gods hoping that they wouldnt make the same mistakes as the old gods. The other half of the characters hate divinity with a burning passion (with good reason) And want to slay both old and new gods. And there is 1 additional character that is Just a remake of my DS3 character xD
I just keep leveling to get the stats I want. Rennala can pry the larval tears from my cold, Vig/Mnd/Sta/Str/Dex/Int/Fai/Arc build hands when Iām dead.
Virgin Elden Ring: āAre you having trouble with this boss? Then you WILL make a bleed build, you WILL respect to pure strength/dex/int, you WILL equip the dragon shield talisman, and you WILL use the most busted Spirit Ashes you have.ā
Chad Dark Souls 2: āAre you having trouble with this boss? LMAO you can beat their ass with a spoon, you got this king.ā
Part of the appeal is that some are tougher against certain builds. It adds variety for replays. For example my Cipher Pata (pure holy) run had to take a detour near the end, where both bosses get 80% holy resistance.
Except almost everything is resistant to holy, holy sucks so much that it's the only type of damage that can heal a boss. Very unfortunate that so many cool faith weapons are holy.
The thing is, though, that sheās never idle.
She breaks the rules and cancels animations, specifically staggers. If she does it to start up Waterfowl and you donāt have BHS on something, youāre fucked.
Jump attack spam with a colossal weapon trivializes her offensively and pretty much keeps her stagger locked, and if you are using a colossal weapon you probably can use some pretty fucking heavy armor and shields to also trivialize waterfowl dance. Margit gave me more trouble than her, and this isnāt me trying to flex or something. Her attacks are clear and very rhythmic unlike a lot of other bosses that can be difficult to read and have awkward delays on attacks.
Now tell me how many attempts it took. Also malenia isn't designed to punish just r1 spam, she built to punish anything, whole ass videos showing how she has mechanics that are there to make the fight wayyyy harder no matter the build (deadass has mechanics that punish the player for being greedy and also not being greedy). Broke down trying to fight her boring ass normally and just pulled out ROB and mimic and beat her first try and I never went back to her dumbass again.
Virgin Ds2: Meee am da best :( Meee so Chad!!
Chad Eternal Ring: I am the perfect hybrid of game mechanics, and the perfect game, I dont rely on such pitiful weak points people scatter to find, Im good, and I will please your fans better.
I am not speaking of virgin soyboy Elden Ring, I am speaking of Eternal Ring. Eternal Ring Ohhhh Eternal Ring.
Dunno, I find some of the older games more consistent then ER. ER pulls too much bullshit and reuses way too many bosses to be excusable.
You're worse than a bloodborne fan undergoing meth withdrawals.
I finished the game with +19 claymore, including Malenia, main problem was damage wasnāt as good, but barely a difference. Also helped I had a couple of weapons I would bring out for different damage types, like bonk. Anyways, its more of git gud instead of switch your build as much as possible.
Same, I pretty much melee face rolled the whole game and the only real complaint I ever had was that this is probably the least amount of times Iāve ever died in any souls game, which I partially chalk up to experience and learning from past mistakes.
I used a pure bleed dual scavenger curved sword build to rush through a 2 hour ng+++ playthrough for the platinum trophy. Game became an absolute joke, bleed is the true "unga bunga, no think, head empty" build, not strength.
As much as I love the build variety in elden ring, one of the reasons I love sekiro so much is that thereās very if few if no ways to trivialize the game the way bleed does
Ok, I will cause you asked. Bleed trivializes the games difficulty to such a huge extent. Iām very surprised we never saw nerfs to it out side of a slight increase to RoB weapon art cost. Many of my irl friends started to play the dark souls games, and they all gave up very quickly because they couldnāt get the game to be as easy as elden ring had. (with bleed of course.)
Iām saddened that the effects of bleed being overpowered gave them the false impression that souls games had been easy this whole time.
Sorry, the only thing gonna bleed is my anus for sitting in the next 5hours in this chair while i try hard. If the boss not dead then i need to clay some more
Never gets old
Reddit thread: "Malenia bad!"
Comment: "You're bad. Boss good."
Next Comment: "Boss hard, how did you beat?"
Reply: "Rivers +10 and Mimic. Hard but I beat 3rd try. OP should git gud"
OP: š
Why are bleed and frost literally the best elements for any weapon I feel? They always take chunks off bosses while the others just so slightly more damage.
In all fairness it does suck shit when you commit to a Faith build and learn the entire back half of bosses have high Faith resistance
JRPGs love to be filled with damage types and status effects for enemies to use on you, but then communicate that a boss is tough by giving them basically every resistance and every immunity
Itās only holy resistance thatās really an issue in the late game, which can be annoying if you were using a sacred weapon, but there are plenty of fire incantations and fire weapons for faith builds to use
I don't know what the Fuck I'm doing in elden ring, I just know I have a good staff that let's me cast rock sling better, but I'm not respecting for a bleed build
I once respecced so I could use comet azur, murdered the boss I was stuck on⦠and then immediately swapped back bc I found no joy or challenge in what I just did. This isnāt meant to disrespect anyone who uses this type of build. I just really didnāt like the idea of finishing the game with a build like that.
The only time I respecced was from pure strength into strength/faith for elden beast (blasphemous blade and divine fortification/flame GMS) because I just wanted the shit to be over already š
"Yeah nah this boss was too easy bro, I beat him 1st time with my RoB and +10 mimic tear, I can't fathom why you could be struggling! š¤·š»āāļø"
"Weak foe ahead"- person 20 levels to high
20 lvls is nothing tho lol
It very much is lmao, especially in the early levels
Some bosses have you bend your strategy a little, but if you tell me I need to go to Rennala and change stats for something then come on bro
This is my take. Fully Grown Fallingstar Beast has insane physical resist. So I'll swap my Greatsword from Heavy to Fire. But changing my whole build to full Arcane to bleed out Malenia? Fuck that.
Bonk til ded. Ape kno no other way.
this. the only time Iāve done a respec is to have more strength. strength mean strong, strong mean kill. if strong no kill then add more strong
If you can't one shot something with Str, you just aren't strong enough.
This is why I love the souls community (also check my flair lol)
Way too based for this world š
This literally IS the strategy. Hit the boss, don't get hit in return. I clocked that thing using frost and bleed weapons and he's immune to both.

The irony of my comment is that every build has access to something that can make Malenia a lot easier without respeccing. Flame of the Redmanes is probably the most notable.

Did basically same but powerstancing crushers and lots of panic rolling. Took two attempts.
Flame of the redmanes seemed bad to me. I had to free aim it to get her to not dodge it and there's a risk she does a move with hyper armor and ignores having her stance broken. Maybe I was just doing it wrong.

Fallingstar beast jaw for the str/int people
Powerstance it with another good collosal weapon and you have a poise breaking combo that will make Malenia bow like Rosales6969
But what if you have like a whip build against fully grown falling star beast?
You donāt even need to spec into arcane to bleed down Malenia tbh. Strength build with base arcane will still melt her if you use something like Bloody Beastmanās Curved Swords.
Rennala fucks mages builds bro.
You can use gravity spells that deal physical damage or just use a regular weapon and buff it
You are expecting too much intelligence from mages bro.
*tries glintstone comet*. Huh. That didn't work. *tries rock sling*. That works. *Spams*
I just made a sorcerer a day ago and I'm 100% guilty, but on the plus side at least now I know I don't have to get new spells
The only reason I don't like sorcery is that until 50+ INT, most sorceries are not useful. Rock sling is good, Glintstone Pebble/Shard are good, and the Carian sword spells are good. Squiddy- I didn't ask for any of that and I'm too dumb to get it right away, butt I'll keep checking this comment as I come along in my quest for blue nerd respect
And then you get Adula's Moonblade which is just strictly better
Yes! It's how I bead Black Blade Ringleader Alecto. I lamed her out hard. By that point, even with 40 VIG, I was getting popped pretty hard by her.
...I- Pfffft, I got nothing for that. The sheer irony here is amazing. (Not aimed at you, but low-intelligence mages)
Even just using any physical weapon with a buff or resin will destroy her, Rennala isn't that hard
She can be a pain if her spirit ash thing goes for wolves or dragon. Getting the Stars of Ruin lite and wolves can chain together a nasty situation, and the dragon is just beeeeg and hurts like crazy if they roll catch you.
Meanwhile us Faith builds just destroy everything in our wake.
Faith builds have a crazy amount of tools for every situation. Resistances/buffs/heals? Done. Fire damage? Done. Frost damage? Done. Lightning? Done. Magic damage? Done. Scarlet Rot? Done. Holy? Done. Unga bunga works fine, but there's a special kind of feeling when Ice Lightning just melts a pack of enemies, or when you get Rot on a boss. Bro use ancient dragon lightning strike I can one shot end game bosses in New game Plus 5.
"Should've leveled VIG," I say to Godfrey, First Elden Lord, as I hit him with a lightning bolt Gwyn would be proud of.
Dude I promise you use a dragon cult / communion build it is a devastating.
That was my first real playthrough. I was going to go straight strength unga bunga, but then I found the Church of Dragon communion, and changed my mind real quick. Giant, devastating dragon attacks are so satisfying to chunk enemies with.
What are your stats?
60 faith about 50 vigor and about 40 strength and just dump the rest into stamina and mind
Blasphemous blade gaming
Nah bro I don't use the blasphemous blade only use the Black blade ultragreatsword
Does it have wiggly lads tho?
No it doesn't
Objectively unplayable
Thereās so many good faith based weapons blasphemous blade, doot doot envoy long horn, golden order greatsword, Godslayer GS (more quality/faith but still), I love how good faith is in this game. On top of all that you got access to about 3 or 4 damage sources and the best buffs in the game
MADNESS BUILD + VYKES SPEAR FTW
Probably one of the best all around weapons in the game. Rocks in regular play and in invasions. Great scaling (triple Cās is solid), great damage type, and Greatswords are pretty solid. Iād say itās even great in duels since you can heal off phantom hits of the weapon art, but thatās kinda cheesy.
[ŃŠ“алено]
Pest threads and fire have entered the chat
I meant going to Rennala with a larval tear to respec
With 80% damage resistance to magic
As a mage build it was fucking impossible. I did more damage with an un-upgraded straight sword.
The one time I did respec because I was having so much trouble with a boss was when I realized the weapon I was using scaled with dex and not strength and I was like āooooohhhhā
You could also just learn to play and win that way :)
If you went to rennala at all for anyth8ng other than meme builds you are not worth my time (a very cool AND virile soul player who definitely fucks a lot).

GG Bestial Incantations. My first Elden Beast kill was thanks to the spammable daggers. Fat fuck can't avoid em all.
I wish i waited to do a Age of Stars run, since I did thsg for my first play through and the Moonlight Greatsword was ass on release.
Bonk Boys have more fun than any of you foolish pixie dust throwing goofs. BONK!!!
I'm sure you do If you need me, I'm going to be knocking Malenia on her ass with the Bolt of Gransax and following up with The Cragblade
Why not just flatten her? BONK!!!
I will admit that I had plenty of fun with the Zweihander in Ds3, but Dex just seemed like a good change of pace. Especially with the increased speed and range of the bosses.
Dex Bonk then?
Flail time
I said dex bonk, not wet noodle.
Pure-strength colossal-weapon builds are literally easy mode
As they've always been
"Seek Strength. The rest will follow."
Faith builds also get ice lightning and Destined Death powers.
Isnāt there only one ice lightning incantation?
yea
Ice lightning >>> normal lightning
mind you, Faith in this game is realistically two classes of magic with miracles and pyromancies.
I leveled up both faith and intelligence expecting hexes and pyromancies to work the same way they did in DS2/3. I got it completely wrong of course but my spell variety makes the game so fun for me
Iāve always dipped equally into both and every day I pray that they introduce an equivalent to the the crystal chime from ds3
My only issue with Faith is that unless you're using a Faith-scaling weapon or an incantation that requires more than like 30 Faith, you're actually better off as an Arcane build since they get an S-scaling seal and can also take advantage of broken bleed weapons
magic in the older games are just spamming like azure comet over and over again, one of the main reasons there was a big stigma against INT players when elden ring came out
yep. Just different sized and coloured pew-pews. At least in ER there's more variety.
I've done a sorcery, an incantation, and a colossal weapon build so far and the sorcery build was by far the most fun one. And I almost always go pure melee in the souls trilogy.
Just use a sleep pot on one of them and they'll remain slept for a good bit, long enough to kill one and move to the next usually.
Don't worry, I know about the sleep cheese for the godskins, and it is the one saving grace of the bossfight Valiant gargoyles, however...
Duo and trio bosses were fucking atrocious before they had their AI changed. I'm sad I only beat gargoyles after the change though. =(
Gargoyles weren't changed by that patch btw
Fuck, I was just shit then Crystalians though...
I fought pre-patch Crystallians on my bow build, and didnāt even think to use a Greatbow. Worst experience Iāve had in souls game since Bed of Chaos or dying to Dancer more than I did to Nameless King.
I just remember running. Even with spirit ashes it was non stop aggression.
I must have gotten lucky with foreskin. I suck at these games and tore through them. RNG just works in your favor sometimes
Theyāre arenāt nearly as bad as a lot of people make them out to be, dunno if you did this but making use of the pillars in the room makes it very manageable

Bruh just use the pillars to avoid their attacks lmao, they arenāt bad at all
U beat them with a +4 weapon and one handed and see how easy it is.
I mean bruh idk what you expect if youāre staying at sl 30 lmao you have nobody to blame but yourself. No point in bitching about it.
Cuz Iām an elitist and purposely make the game harder for myself so I can complain and make myself feel superior.
If you were an elitist you wouldnāt have changed builds like a lil bitch lets be real
Donāt you elitist gatekeep me
Ima do it
Wait you guys base your characters on mechanics? I make lore for them and give them the weapon that fits their lore the most
Based role-player. "No, you see, my character cannot use a greatsword due to his weak wrists"
See my character is wearing this particular piece of clothing because it is a family heirloom passed down from her deceased grandmother who she was very close to
Knowing this game you probably got the clothing by looting it of a corpse somewhere in the middle of nowhere. Grandma got looted
Nah. In my headcannon she had it since the beginning and you cant convince me otherwise
This is the way. My sorcerer is gonna stay a sorcerer and my thief is gonna stay a thief damn it, different encounters being harder or easier with different builds is part of the replay value
Exactly. But u gotta make lore tho. Like I have 10 different characters, 6 of them being made and I play only 2 of them. bleed users when they realised radagon can't be bleed
I place my summon sign on Radagon a lot, and it's absolutely astonishing how many people try to spam Corpse Piler on him.
lmao yeah they should've noticed that he didn't get critically damage when using bleed weapons (chunk of hp drained and blood spilling animation).
You think they even know how bleed actually works? They just mash L2 and see things die without putting any thought into it.
frfr
Corpse piler has very high fire damage and he is vulnerable to fire
blasphemous blade is better
Maybe. Doesn't really matter though
See the problem is that you don't know enough about the game to realise that occult exists
I just keep leveling to get the stats I want. Rennala can pry the larval tears from my cold, Vig/Mnd/Sta/Str/Dex/Int/Fai/Arc build hands when Iām dead.

You need to nihil malenia tho, do it for the vine
I yelled her to death with Troll's Roar once. Was pretty cool ngl.
I beat (almost) every boss with the greatsword so anyone who complains about respecing being required is lying
I finished the game with +19 claymore, including Malenia, main problem was damage wasnāt as good, but barely a difference. Also helped I had a couple of weapons I would bring out for different damage types, like bonk. Anyways, its more of git gud instead of switch your build as much as possible.
I specād into vit early on so while my damage output was never anywhere close to bleed builds, I was able to take more than one hit in most cases.
I go and pump vigor first on all but first play throughs(To mess around with weapons), always a safe reliable bet.
Same here. Grafted Blade Greatsword or as I like to call it the āGame of Thrones Chair Swordā is goated
ā¦in the sauce?
Same, I pretty much melee face rolled the whole game and the only real complaint I ever had was that this is probably the least amount of times Iāve ever died in any souls game, which I partially chalk up to experience and learning from past mistakes.
Bleed is cringe
I used it for my first play through and I wish I didnāt, it trivialized almost every boss
I used a pure bleed dual scavenger curved sword build to rush through a 2 hour ng+++ playthrough for the platinum trophy. Game became an absolute joke, bleed is the true "unga bunga, no think, head empty" build, not strength.
As much as I love the build variety in elden ring, one of the reasons I love sekiro so much is that thereās very if few if no ways to trivialize the game the way bleed does
Cry about it
Ok, I will cause you asked. (with bleed of course.) Iām saddened that the effects of bleed being overpowered gave them the false impression that souls games had been easy this whole time.
Then don't. It's not even slightly needed
arc/dex is cringe now arc/str....
Great Stars hammer build (still bleed tho)
Too much stuff causes bleed.
Eochaid's Dancing Blade + consecutive hit buffs š©
Now you have my curiosity. Please proceed
Sorry, the only thing gonna bleed is my anus for sitting in the next 5hours in this chair while i try hard. If the boss not dead then i need to clay some more
R/eldenring users hating me for using hammers and powertools to beat them to death (I'm using all the tools given to me)
Never gets old Reddit thread: "Malenia bad!" Comment: "You're bad. Boss good." Next Comment: "Boss hard, how did you beat?" Reply: "Rivers +10 and Mimic. Hard but I beat 3rd try. OP should git gud" OP: š
Shout out to my man Dan Gheesling for not only refusing to respec, but respeccing into a **worse** spec. The man really knows how to play the game.
Why are bleed and frost literally the best elements for any weapon I feel? They always take chunks off bosses while the others just so slightly more damage.
They deal percentage based damage which means that the damage of the frost or bleed proc scales with the bosses health as far as I understand
I was a str fth build for 99% of the game, I respec int build to beat the elden beast.
Str fth is the superior build
ITāS ZWEI TIME (Mighty Morphin Power Rangers theme plays)
Imagine respeccing ever - commit with your very first level, and deal with the consequences
Iām not playing doom eternal to have to use everything
Smart doggo
First few weeks on tik tok every boss guide video would just tell you to make an op build
If you have to respec multiple times per playthough to get though a challenge you fucked up the game design.
If you have to respec multiple times per play through you fucked up your build
In all fairness it does suck shit when you commit to a Faith build and learn the entire back half of bosses have high Faith resistance JRPGs love to be filled with damage types and status effects for enemies to use on you, but then communicate that a boss is tough by giving them basically every resistance and every immunity
Itās only holy resistance thatās really an issue in the late game, which can be annoying if you were using a sacred weapon, but there are plenty of fire incantations and fire weapons for faith builds to use
And physical incantions and lightning incantations and bleed incantations and rot incantations and even a frost and magic incantation.
Good thing you don't have to
Exactly you don't.
No, you just fucking suck at the game.
Bleed is for the weak. Knockdown lock with GS is for chads
Virgin Dex Bleed Procs vs. Chad Stunlocking Heavy Weapons
Fighting malenia now and refuse to use the bloodhound step. Mad at myself for having this mentality.
Iāve never had to respec for a boss (I just used broken builds to begin with)
The only time I respecced was from pure strength into strength/faith for elden beast (blasphemous blade and divine fortification/flame GMS) because I just wanted the shit to be over already š
Big stick make big bonk. Why no hurt? *weakness to thrust*
This was me against Mohg trying to fight it with my trusty Greatsword. Ended up respeccing anyway to use Bloodhound's Fang against the bitch.
It either dies to the claymore or it dies to the heavy claymore.
Never going full summons on solo bosses.
I mean if I canāt beat it with sheer willpower and brute force, itās not gonna happen
