Good job! The pleats on those pants are beautiful. I also love your color choice—it's bright enough to stand out but neutral enough you could wear it with lots of colors.
Self drafted pattern, using base construction in my own measurements + inspiration picture from Pinterest :)
Basically I made top part a bit baggier and added two 3 cm pleats on each side.
Fabric - 1.5m viscose-polyester blend for dress suits (at least that how the fabric was described in the shop).
Lol, I feel the same way. Whenever this sub pops up on my feed it goes something like this:
Me, who's greatest textile-related accomplishment was stapling shut my jeans' ripped ankle seam in primary school: "I wish I could do that."
I did get it from a chain store, as it is the most conveniently located for me, but the patterned fabric section there is not great - not a problem this time, as I wanted a solid colour pants, but the selection of fabrics there is quite poor tbh.
Beautiful slacks! I thought they were your dog walking pants because picture one looks like you are holding a leash! I was thinking you were a pretty fancy dog-walker! 😂
Lol, now I can see it too 😂😂 no dogs here, but you can see a rat carrier under the “leash” 😆
but I will definitely keep my new pants away from my pets, I have spent too much effort making them 😄
Some Yu Yu Hakusho vibes there! The darts and pleats look seriously great though. They look simulatenously comfy and sharp. I hope my first "real" pants turn out that good!

Thanks! Went into shop without any idea what fabric I want and spent half an hour contemplating available options 😂

You people are killing me with all your beautiful self drafted clothes.

Did you get the fabric from a chain store or a local place? I love that color.
I did get it from a chain store, as it is the most conveniently located for me, but the patterned fabric section there is not great - not a problem this time, as I wanted a solid colour pants, but the selection of fabrics there is quite poor tbh.
Was it Joann's? Their in-store selections are turning into nothing but quilting cotton now.
We don’t have Joann’s here, but I assume this chain is something similar
Gorgeous color and style! I used to own similar pants in burgundy that I swear go well with any outfit!!
I do hope I’ll get plenty of wear out of them :)

Hey I’m studying fashion design and I need to make pants or a skirt, I was wondering if I could use your pants as inspiration?
Sure thing! I copied them myself from some image from the internet :)
Agree with what so many have said: great color choice and awesome design on the pockets!
If those came with a lining they would be dream pants for me. Thanks for sharing!
These are not lined, and seams are finished with serger. Maybe some day I’ll make some lined pants :)
I love the look and colour, you’ve done amazing ! Also love the board game collection hehe
Thanks 😁
OMG Pockets!!!
Big enough to fit my huge phone with some room to spare :3
Nice

Pockets! The biggest incentive for women everywhere to make their own clothes!
Awesome!
I love them!!! Nice work 🤍
Nailed it! You did great!
These are lovely, wonderful colour and fit!
I love those pants
What a gorgeous drape. Sort of the Holy Grail of pleated pants. You were wise to keep the crotch a bit low for the sake of the pleats.
Dapper AF
Dang, I want pants like this so bad. Great work!
These are my favourite types of pants! I love them so much, such beautiful pocket work. Now I must try to recreate something like this!
These are such a beautiful pair of pants!
Pockets! BIG Pockets! Love them! Great job!
Gorgeous! They look very well made.
Amazing job ( and great taste in boardgames too)!
These are awesome!!! Do you have a pattern you worked with, or was it freehanded? I'm inspired to try my hand at some pants now...
As I mentioned in my comment - I changed base pants pattern by adding pleats and making top part a bit baggier :)
Whoops, didn't see that! I'll definitely have to try it out!
These look great! Awesome job!

These pants are remarkable! How big are the pockets
Measured it to fit my palm comfortably, it can hold iPhone 11 with room to spare 😄
Those are some deep pockets than haha
Looks sharp, great job!!
Nice work!! I highly recommend adding crotch gusset.
These are gorgeous!
Great job! What style/cut would you say it is? I love it and am looking for something similar.
Honestly I don’t know, I am not strong in style terminology, but maybe someone else reading comments knows? 😅
i’d call them slacks, trousers or pantaloons? But baggy! So maybe search something like “baggy pleated slacks” or “baggy trousers pleats”
These look so comfy!! Great job!!
I just tackled my first non pajama pants and it’s not easy! You did a FANTASTIC job! They fit like a dream and look gorgeous! Wear them proudly!!!
these looks super nice
I love pants like this. I have a blue pair just like this, that I wear all the time lol
OH THOSE ARE NICE!!!
Awesome work and I love the color! And making the pockets as big as you want them? This is another great incentive for me to learn to sew.
Those are AWESOME!!!
These are my dream pants omg
They look fantastic!!!!!
They look great!
I love those! You did a great job!
