I'm late. But Luxx is coming off as a petty child. And she has a very elevated opinion of herself for someone who seems kind of middle ground. Compared to Queens who have been on this show before she's not exactly standing out.
I'm super late, but I've just watched this episode, and I can't take the feeling that Loosey wasn't supposed to be a bottom and that Mistress should have been there instead? The makeup wasn't good, and the dressing up and the presentation on the runway were super lazy... idk
And during the lipsync , I felt Luxx didn't know her words? Maybe I'm wrong, but I was taken aback by this episode's results.
I'm a little late to chime in but I felt very validated after I turned to my friend and said "boy Stiffler's mom has really let herself go" then Ru said the makeover looked like Jennifer Coolidge lol.
As for the result, Mistress should have been in the bottom for those basic stretchy gown plus boa looks. Plaaaaaain.
A bit of an unpopular opinion, but I don't think this challenge is about looking exactly the same. I didn't like Loosey and Lala essentially being painted the exact same. The goal is similar but different.
luxx had so much energy during the lip sync but she didn’t know when or how to use it. it was crazy. Honestly wasn’t too far off from her other performances outside drag race. She just needs more control with her moves because lord 💀
I always have mixed feelings about the makeover challenges. Part of me really loves them, and I like seeing if the queens can actually translate their aesthetic onto someone else.
But whenever they bring on strangers to put in drag, one of the queens is always so awful about the experience that I always feel mortified and terrible for the person they are making over. Luxx's total indifference to her woman the first day was just beyond difficult to watch - all the more so because she was so sweet and supportive. "I'm here to do whatever you want so that you win." Fuck. Given the girl's complete and total narcissism, I was convinced that that would be enough to sell her on the woman immediately.... and nope.
This is one of the few times I would actually be okay with production editing all of the queens to look gracious for once to not have to be subjected to something so uncomfortable again.
And you know a lot of the complaints are code for "I wanted the one I considered to be the most objectively pretty." Frankly, that whole bit and not knowing her lines at all, would not have been sad to see her get the boot.
I understand that it is more of a show then a real competition and Ru picks who Ru thinks will represent her brand best. I get that but damn the production needs to not let us see the strings so much.
Mistress should have been in the bottom again but she wasn't. She has what I've figured out is "Big Girl Immunity" Ru gets read for not having a big girl ever really win. So now a big girl makes it to the final almost every season regardless if they truly deserve it. Luxx I think is the production/Ru favorite. They have said that she is a star so many times. There was no way they were gonna have Luxx and MIB go against each other in this episode.
Loosey, love her or hate her, was totally screwed this week. She was gone no matter how good she did. Really Ross? A fucking shoe critique but not gonna point out that thst MIB made her teacher just look like a black blob with bad makeup.
Love DR. Just love it more when it doesn't feel as orchestrated during a season. Just hide the favoritism better.
Mistress & Luxx both saying in confessionals that Loosey is fake for not giving them the reaction they wanted to their treatment of her was very weird.. good on Loosey for keeping it cool all season. I would have Let Loose a long time ago and probably had a meltdown.

Anetra - deserved the win, she understood what the makeover challenge is about. It’s another bodysuit, looks similar to her top to pieces look and she could have been more distinguished between her and her daughter for my liking cause it seems like the same look twice instead of 2 connected looks. but still, work.
Sasha: she looks ok, not a fan of the padding and not a fan of the dresses, I don’t think they represent her to a tee like the challenge asks but ok
Mistress: I think the looks were kinda simple and the makeup on The teacher was WAAAAAAY heavier than it needed to be; I don’t think black and mint green go together like that, it was a safe performance. She understood she had to look like herself tho so good job on that
Loosey: honestly idk, they should have been in the top, or at least safe! Loosey’s choices weren’t really fashion forward but they represent her campy aesthetic and the teacher looks just like her so she very much nailed the challenge; the details could have been elevated cause the actual look is not that exciting but since the level here wasn’t as high I don’t think she was that far off
Luxx: bad drag mom, bad in dealing with frustrations, bad at recognizing how she hit the jackpot with the Jennifer Coolidge look alike, she could have made a bend and snap moment with an Elle woods inspired look and then reference the twins with the trotting; it would have been genius; but yeah. Her attitude is a now, the looks were disconnected and she was relying on body again cause relying on Naomi Smalls’ aesthetic can only take you so far; I think she showed why her arch in this season is cold and unlike any winner arc, she is the same bitter immature bratty queen from day 1; next.

Am I the only one who thought Loosey’s outfits were heinous? That pattern was so ugly. Her taste just isn’t at the level it needs to be, and the shoes sealed the deal.
Also, I’ve been giving Loosey the benefit of the doubt because I know how much the editors can twist perceptions, but her interview after her elimination was SO petty and spiteful. That was 100% all her. She really is that delusional.
Side note: She’s been complaining on Twitter all season that the producers asked her to list all her main and mini wins and aired it out of context, but baby she still keeps counting her mini challenge wins in conversation with other girls unprompted.
Unpopular opinion but I thought Mistress and Madam should have won. I couldn’t take my eyes off them! Madam was stunning and you could tell Mistress really took the time to connect with her and gas her up. Madam was SO confident.
Anetra and Alektra were my close second choice though!
Tbh, Sasha’s padding was funky, but since the padding company were sponsors I don’t think the judges could critique that.
I wish Luxx would have had the foresight to see how much her lady looked like Jennifer Coolidge and leaned into it. I couldn’t stop screaming, she was so cute and funny. Luxx dropped the ball hard.

Yes! I don’t think she deserves any hate from the fandom, but that post-elimination interview was full delusion. I feel like she is always way too caught up comparing herself to others, and it comes off as entitled and uptight!

I agree. Stretch dress and boa, all same color. I didn't see any shape of her body in that black ensemble. Maybe if she and her daughter would have switched boas.
I love the makeover episode because makeovers are always fantastic and fun.

I don’t get the Luxx hate when it comes to how she interacted with her teacher. Literally the other girls said it, she looked super anxious and in her head, so yeah she didn't really connect with her teacher but I see so many people assume that it was malicious? Honestly I think she panicked when she saw who she was paired with because Asia Azul doesn't have the same body type as hers and seeing the final look Luxx made for her I think she's used to make things for herself but not for other body types (I felt like this kind of dress would look better on a super skinny queen like Luxx herself). Which if true would be on her, sure, but I don’t think it deserves this level of hate lol. I read some comments before watching the episode and was expecting her being a total bitch to Asia Azul and then I was like, that's all?
Otherwise I'm petty bc I don’t think Loosey did that bad, imo it was Luxx and either Loosey or Mistress in the bottom, but she annoyed me so much and I don’t think all of it was on the edit so I'm glad she's gone.
Next episode predictions: Luxx could easily pull a S8 Naomi Smalls and dominate the music performance challenge so much it sends her to the top 3. It’ll be a 4 way lipsync and if anyone goes home, it’s Mistress. She’s a great reality tv character and a good queen but she’s been underperforming since the lipsync smackdown.
Whoops, that’s what I get for not confirming the episode list first. You’re totally right, she was top in the ball. But after that, I’d put her low/bottom for everything else (although Wigloose was splitting hairs to get a Bottom 2).
My guess is they recorded all possible final 3 outcomes and are waiting for fan reaction to choose who goes to the finale, as they did in S7 for instance.

Well...this was a sweet and touching episode, partially ruined by blatant riggory.
Last week I said Loosey was going home no matter how she did, because the edit was telling us she is delusional... I did not expect to be so right. Like Cheryl Hole, she gave perfect family resemblance, yet was in the bottom for it.😔
I think they left in her little speech at the end thinking she'd look bitter for it but...it's not like she lied. Except for the talent show and the Ball, she has always done well, and given some great performances.🤷
This is also the third time I expected Mistress to do great at something ( interview, stand up and makeover) and she flopped, but still skated by. Love her, but I think I'm in my "tired of favouritism" era.
Very happy for Anetra, I think she and Sasha did great and are very deserving frontrunners ( still #teamsasha, tough).
All the teachers were really lovely and seemed to have so much fun... Loved that Asia ended up feeling the fantasy despite the rocky start, and Ferocity was fantastic in the lipsync.
Speaking of lipsyncs... You know how, when June went home ( it was chocolate 📯), people said she lost the lipsync more than Maddie won it?... Well, I was reminded of that.

Soo we again had an episode where Mistress avoids the bottom for no discernable reason, so far we have
- She wad gifted the lipsync win against Jax in the Lalaparooza when Jax clearly did better
- Was like a deer in headlights in the Love Connie interview
- Was the least funny in the stand up challenge by faaar
- Did terrible in the Rusical, looked like she was thinking about not screwing up her moves the whole time. Loosey who was in the bottom did clearly better
- Now this shit where I have no idea how she wasn't in the bottom

- she was incredible in the Rusical and in fact should have won
- makeovers are always all over the place and they could have easily justified putting ANYONE in the bottom. Literally all of them. If “you didn’t stone your shoes” is a valid reason then anything is. They equally could have given the win to anyone, including mistress

Frankly, Mistress openly said she wears floor-length gowns to hide her kitten heels to avoid the commentary. I'm not the biggest Naomi Smalls fan, but her comment on the Pit Stop about queens and biscuit heels not being okay is correct.
Ross actually does comment on the height of the heel. He doesn’t directly suggest she wear a higher heel, like he does suggest Loosey should’ve stoned it, but does make a dig about how the shoe is “2cm tall” after the queens have left the stage. I didn’t know MIB’s strategy with wearing floor length gowns to hide her kitten heels tho — that’s actually superrr smart (bc obviously kitten heels do nothing to flatter the legs)
family resemblance isnt the entire challenge. theres more to it, clearly. get to know your makeover gal, show her a good time, make her feel comfortable on stage. the actual challenge is to introduce a civilian to drag and make them have a good time and make them shine like stars. not just beat their face good
it's what happens on stage that matters to the judges, in terms of the competition. they can have a good time while in the werkroom but the challenge entailed spending some of that time making the makeover gals feel comfortable on stage and excited to perform and give it their all. totally different beast
Well, how much fun one has on stage is up for interpretation... I mentioned the workroom because that's the one time she could talk about how she felt.
It's like with Monet and Tyler Oakley: Michelle said she saw no connection but to us-;the viewers- they seem to have a very cute rapport 🤷
again i think you're kind of missing it, it's not only about having fun, the challenge is to turn these civilians into performers with some semblance of stage presence with confidence and chemistry with your partner on stage.
Yeah, still missing where Loosey failed to do that. She bonded with her teacher, she made her feel comfortable in the werk room and onstage, and gave her elements of LaDuca without making her an exact replica. They clocked her for a shoe and said she looked uncomfortable onstage, but we see no evidence of the latter. It’s just words with zero substance to back it based on what we were shown in the edit.
i can agree that they were grasping at a lot nonsense straws to justify her being in the bottom. i do agree a little bit that compared to some of the other makeover queens she may have not Shone as much as she couldve, and i found the look a bit underwhelming, but that could be completely subjective.
everyone knows that the secret reason is because it's a reality tv show first and a competition second, as well as doing good in challenges and runways you also need to show the show and judges that you're worth keeping around and thay you've got more potential and more to show both to them and the cameras.
it just wouldn't have been as interesting to keep loosey. and she doesn't scream winner material in my opinion she was gonna get eliminated one episode or another anyway so does it matter to the judges? plus now she's got the privilege of being the "robbed" queen, and that's a huge publicity boost

For all we know, production blatantly sent Loosey home bc they knew the audience would see the rigga morris of it all 😂 And ftr, I also think Loosey was a fairly by-the-numbers queen (I stan the dancers so Anetra’s my 👑 this season) so it definitely felt like it was her time vs the other queens. However, I still wish production and judging would put a little more effort into selling the lie to suspend the reality 🤣

Loosy Leduka is not my fav but the riggery this season against her is beyond annoying and a frustration to watch.
This episode I would have pinned her 2nd. If they are truly "splitting hairs", there was plenty to split hairs with the others.
Loosey is quite touchy with feeling as we have seen how she’s with the girl, as Salina told her to not to let the girls get a raise out of him. It’s like you know someone will overreact and you deliberately annoy them. But for Loosey I feel like the production is doing that too.
So Luxx obviously did much better than Loosey in the lip sync, but I can't believe she continued her Middle School crap with trying to block Lucy repeatedly.
Edit: I mainly just meant that I didn't think this point tipped the lip sync from Luxx to Loosey itself. Between the way they ended it, and the fact that Loosey had already been in the bottom, justified or not, it was very obvious but productions play in this episode was.

I have been a fan of Luxx this whole season but this episode not only did she disappoint but her attitude actually made me downright mad.

Mistress did something that in the past has often been called out and reasons Queens have gone home. The mug was beautiful the face was on point the problem was she defaulted back to a safe dress of a long velvet stretch fabric with a boa, and if you look at when that happened in the past who did that they were called out and it was a big reason why they went home on that episode.

I'd be so interested to learn about the demographics of support for Loosey and Luxx over their feuds on the show. I'm Luxx's age and I don't see mean girl in her? I just see her gassing herself up and living as the main character, which does lead to some selfish moments. I can't relate much to Loosey unfortunately, but to me she came off as quite insecure and taking herself too seriously. They're both "delusional" in their own way, I get "fake it til you make it" like Loosey said, but Luxx is a better actress in that regard for sure.
That being said... Loosey and her partner looked amazing this episode and she should air her feelings because she's right. Ross' shoe critique was giving early FPR Raven 😭
That’s so interesting. I have heard several established queens blame the new generation of fans for being too sensitive and calling everything bullying and gaslighting, so I find it very interesting to hear another perspective. I am an elder millennial and I agree with your whole first paragraph. Luxx is entertaining to watch and gives off an aura of ease because she does not seem worried about what anyone else thinks of her. Some of these Loosey confessionals are like watching a talented person give a PowerPoint on why they should have gotten a better SAT score. She talented, but the competition reality show part did not bring out the best of her personality, IMO.
Luxx has repeatedly been rude to Loosey and then gaslights her when she gets upset about it. She repeatedly has just come for her for no reason, laughs about it and generally treats her like she’s insane and delusional. Did you not see Loosey crying to Salina about it? I’m around that age and I can’t see how people don’t see the straight up bullying. It’s not being the main character when you attack other people for no reason.
I don't think it's responsible to use the word bullying lightly (and gaslighting either, while we're at it). I really felt for Loosey when she was talking to Salina, but to then claim Luxx (and Mistress) bullied her is a stretch imo. I interpreted it as her justification for why she got so in her feelings, which is understandable, but that doesn't mean that us viewers should assign malicious intent to any party. We only get to see 40-60 minutes of edited footage with everyone's TV character, and if the girls had a problem with each other as *people*, they'd deal with it in private.
The scene where they were picking parts for the rustical genuinely showed actual bullying and gaslighting. They would literally insult her, giggle when she would talk to act like she was being embarrassing or something, and then when she would react they’d act like she was insane. That’s textbook gaslighting and I don’t understand how someone could watch the show, see them going so hard at her for no reason (it wasn’t even like a rivalry they were both just cruel for no reason), and no see an issue with it or understand it was actual bullying. I liked mistress in the beginning but her and Luxx’s behavior left such a nasty taste in my mouth I stopped liking her the last several episodes cause it was just so unnecessary. It went past the point of regular shade. She literally broke down into tears about how they were treating her (that is exactly what happened, she was talking about how they snicker when she talks and stuff), and that to me is fully bullying atp.
I'm saying it's a reality TV show. No need to call Luxx and Mistress cruel bullies. We don't know the full story! Clearly what was shown in the rusical ep portrayed Loosey as a victim, and I think most of us viewers side with her in the moment with Salina, but taking that moment to then bash Luxx and Mistress' personal character is not it. I don't think it's right to compare actual real life bullies to queens trolling on a show.
I love Mistress and I really appreciated her for how quickly and beautifully she bonded with her partner but I still think she should have been in the bottom instead of Loosey.
Yes they had amazing chemistry in the werk room and on the runway, but I feel that she really screwed up Madame Thang's look on every level. The make up wasn't giving which is baffling to me because she said herself that the two of them looked pretty similar and we all know that she paints herself to perfection. I get that her partner refused to shave her eyebrows but that doesn't excuse that hideous nose contour.
And tbh, I also didn't like the outfit she made for Madame. The black on black gave no contrast and I feel like she just got swallowed by the whole thing because you couldn't really tell where her body ended and that giant boa began. Which again really confused me because MIB has basically the same body type and has been serving impeccible body every episode, INCLUDING THIS ONE. Maybe it read differently in the werk room with brighter lighting but it really didn't work for me on the main stage.
So, bottom line, yes, the two of them were a joy to watch, but at least for me that didn't make up for this mess of an outfit and I really don't understand how it wasn't even brought up by the judges. Like not even in a "yeah the outfit wasn't great but the two of you sold it so we don't care" kinda way.
All of that being said this top 4 makes perfect sense to me so whatever
Luxx’s lip sync was horrible. No sense of control or style and she didn’t know the words lol. Everyone on Twitter saying she “ate Loosey up” clearly have no idea what the qualities of a good lip sync are.
She was like a chaotic toddler button smashing on Mortal Kombat.
The whole “we’re splitting hairs” thing is so annoying because if that’s the metric:
- Sasha’s padding was off
- Mistress - the dress and makeup swallowed her partner up and the color scheme between the two of them was even more off than Luxx’s and her partners
- Anetra’s been giving us this same silhouette for weeks
- None of them had matching shoes with their partners (Ross’s critique for Loosey)
- Luxx’s goes without needing any commentary
None of that is to shade any of the queens who were safe/won, it’s just so frustrating how obvious the riggery was this past episode.
The past several weeks you don’t even need to watch the challenge to know who’ll be in the bottom. Producers have already chosen their favorite queens and everything is just manufactured so that they’re still here at the end.
This whole "Loosey Laduca sucks, actually" drama is the most manufactured thing I've seen on drag race in a while. Mistress was definitely the worst this episode. Her partner's makeup was so bad and the black was a terrible color choice for such a small person.
Sasha never pads, and her partner wanted the full drag experience with padding and sasha tried her best to give her partner what she wants

According to mistress and anetra, they weren’t told they were gonna do makeovers so none of them packed matching shoes and the shoes they were given were 8-12 inch stripper shoes that normal people can’t walk in, so they had trouble matching shoes
That makes sense. Thanks for the info. I can't imagine most of the queens had shoes that would work for real women, either, between both sizing and (Mistress-aside) the actual walkability. Toddlers can walk in Mistress's biscuits. You think they'd have had more believable options for the women they'd be putting in drag, but part of me just pictures Ru looking at a wall of the most dangerous shoes available and saying "I need them to be more."
I recognise this is probably controversial and cunty, but who in the fuck told Luxx they could dance? Doing far too much up on that stage, flailing arms and legs with almost no rhythm whatsoever and knowing less than half of the words? I really cannot. Loosey 1000% did NOT deserve bottom placement this episode, and she did not deserve to go home against whatever mess that was that Luxx just put out. Sorry bout it.
didn’t realize the general consensus on this subreddit is that mistress bad and loosey good 😭 it’s never that easy, and we know how to editors love to spin things in whatever way that’ll get people talking. i love mistress, being a plus size performer myself, her unabashed love for the arts and her quick tongue are so entertaining to me. i don’t see her as a bully in any capacity, it’s literally drag race. we’ve forgotten how absolutely catty and shady some of these seasons can be… and this one isn’t even that bad. loosey boohoo cries every episode about how she isn’t doing better - what was the polly pocket dress she had on today? with jewelry and makeup that looked like they were part of a completely different outfit? and y’all think she should’ve been before mistress? when luxx said that loosey’s drag was something they’ve already seen before, i partially agree. loosey botched her talent show start from the beginning by attempting to sing a high intensity song while moving - which she couldn’t - and then gave us overused looks we’ve seen millions of times. she was with the cream of the crop, and i think she deserved to go home.

Agree! Luxx is Naomi Smalls redux and Mistress is no Eureka (who was denied the crown twice!) ——-Loosey comes off as too buttoned up, but that’s because she is a queen who comes off as ‘professional’.

I actually agree with you, I've been thinking the same thing! The other queens' drag styles have been done before too, so why is that only a negative for Loosey.

People say they miss the earlier seasons until they get queens that gives earlier season energy. Then they want to feel bad for the queen that wants to include mini challenges as wins. But then they keep saying they wish Irene would have stayed. People just want a reason to complain.
I don't mind them, usually. I'm not really rooting for either, they mostly make my eyes roll, but I will say they are usually good TV. I just didn't like Luxx with her teacher. It was not quite as bad as Baga with her mom, but still.
I'm an Anetra-stan for the same reason I was a Tati one for S2 and AS2. I like bitches who keep it real and don't have time for bullshit. (Raven in S2 also made my eyes roll - mostly with the Tyra defense; to give an idea of the kind of queens I typically root for)
i agree with you 100%, however i would like to add that as the fan base of this show we are not in tune with what really happens on the show so all this hate for mistress/luxx/loosey is so undeserved in my opinion and while we can voice our opinions i don’t think we should voice them to such an intense degree where we start calling mistress an uglier and fatter eureka(yes i saw someone call her that it was so disgusting to witness) but i think this also applies to loosey too. as the fan base of this amazing show i think we should all voice our opinions while offering criticism about the result need be. so please everyone just save the harsh words and don’t throw around the term bully when we don’t know what happened

This episode really hit home for me about how important good, caring teachers are. My 4th grade teacher, Mrs. Harper was one. I was “that” super poor, dirty, neglected kid in class. She gave me extra attention, and spent her own money to buy me a backpack and some clothes. I think about her often
Luxx should have padded. She couldn't stand for one second not being the skinniest in the room and in every single dimension. And that meant her and her partner looked nothing alike. What Sasha did in this episode was smart, she didn't need to pad but she knew that the padding company was one of the sponsors so she did it anyway. As a result, her and her partner looked even more related. I'm tired of these super skinny queens not being able to look anything but super skinny. It's boring.
Yeah. I felt so bad for her. I would not have minded if they had edited those scenes out honestly just because it must be mildly embarrassing to see them back.
I mean the edit can do a lot of things, but it can't make you manufacture full lines. And they aren't deepfaking your behaviors. One thing I really appreciated about Roxxy was how she owned up to saying what she said doing what she did. I mean *showing* that probably is the justification for getting rid of her, but it doesn't get rid of the fact if happened.
Her attitude on the stage during the lip sync prep was ... omg. This poor woman.

The riggory of it all! Poor Loosy, she was so much better than MIB in the makeover challenge, and her lip synch was SO much better than Luxx! It was embarrassing how badly Luxx lip synced, and her stage work just came off as attempt after attempt to hide her face and the fact tray she wasn't even trying to fake lip synch.
Yet another season where the bully cast member goes all the way, based not off talent but rather the hopes that they'll cause drama and boost ratings. Almost every season has these characters, and I hate it; I tire of the negativity these bullies bring. MIB isn't fun or funny, she's a deeply wounded person who inflicts pain on others instead of dealing with her trauma. She acts like a big ol' cunt and I REALLY hope either she or Luxx leaves in the next episode. You were robbed, Loosy! Final three should have been Anetra, Sasha, and Loosy!
Also, Ru keeping in people he's clearly lusting after is getting embarrassing. I look forward to the eventual host change and to a more fair era of judging.
MIB is awful but brutally funny and worth it, IMO - only really turns terrible when around Luxx. Luxx has nothing but delusion, and a mean girl schtick that only works with Mistress around. I legitimately may not watch the finale if both MIB and Luxx are still in, just bc it's been so unpleasant to watch them together.
I really don't find MIB funny, she's genuinely mean. That laughing whilst Loosy was talking thing, that's a classic bullying technique. It honestly felt like production was trying to gaslight Loosy this season.
I agree Luxx is delusional, it's shocking, she thinks she's AMAZING but she's pretty meh. I did like her House of Visage design, though.

Anetra was great, loving her so much. Well deserved. Sasha could've also won and I would've been happy. Loosey did not deserve the bottom. Nor has she deserved the bullying that's happened. MIB and Luxx should've lip synced. MIB had the same dress but nothing to bring the two together - they could've at least swapped boas. The makeup on her teacher was also very dark, I found it hard to read the face. Luxx's lip sync was a mess, personally. I don't think she has much control over her movements, which makes it look very messy.
Sometimes drag makeup on the wrong face makes all their features look small and out of proportion, which is what I think happened with Madame Thang. absolutely not a fan.
MIB and Luxx lipsyncing would also have been a great and intense storyline, friends turned opponents etc - so annoying to see the production rigging things in such an obvious and boring way.
I'm late. But Luxx is coming off as a petty child. And she has a very elevated opinion of herself for someone who seems kind of middle ground. Compared to Queens who have been on this show before she's not exactly standing out.
I'm super late, but I've just watched this episode, and I can't take the feeling that Loosey wasn't supposed to be a bottom and that Mistress should have been there instead? The makeup wasn't good, and the dressing up and the presentation on the runway were super lazy... idk And during the lipsync , I felt Luxx didn't know her words? Maybe I'm wrong, but I was taken aback by this episode's results.
I'm a little late to chime in but I felt very validated after I turned to my friend and said "boy Stiffler's mom has really let herself go" then Ru said the makeover looked like Jennifer Coolidge lol. As for the result, Mistress should have been in the bottom for those basic stretchy gown plus boa looks. Plaaaaaain.
A bit of an unpopular opinion, but I don't think this challenge is about looking exactly the same. I didn't like Loosey and Lala essentially being painted the exact same. The goal is similar but different.
luxx had so much energy during the lip sync but she didn’t know when or how to use it. it was crazy. Honestly wasn’t too far off from her other performances outside drag race. She just needs more control with her moves because lord 💀
I always have mixed feelings about the makeover challenges. Part of me really loves them, and I like seeing if the queens can actually translate their aesthetic onto someone else. But whenever they bring on strangers to put in drag, one of the queens is always so awful about the experience that I always feel mortified and terrible for the person they are making over. Luxx's total indifference to her woman the first day was just beyond difficult to watch - all the more so because she was so sweet and supportive. "I'm here to do whatever you want so that you win." Fuck. Given the girl's complete and total narcissism, I was convinced that that would be enough to sell her on the woman immediately.... and nope. This is one of the few times I would actually be okay with production editing all of the queens to look gracious for once to not have to be subjected to something so uncomfortable again. And you know a lot of the complaints are code for "I wanted the one I considered to be the most objectively pretty." Frankly, that whole bit and not knowing her lines at all, would not have been sad to see her get the boot.

I understand that it is more of a show then a real competition and Ru picks who Ru thinks will represent her brand best. I get that but damn the production needs to not let us see the strings so much. Mistress should have been in the bottom again but she wasn't. She has what I've figured out is "Big Girl Immunity" Ru gets read for not having a big girl ever really win. So now a big girl makes it to the final almost every season regardless if they truly deserve it. Luxx I think is the production/Ru favorite. They have said that she is a star so many times. There was no way they were gonna have Luxx and MIB go against each other in this episode. Loosey, love her or hate her, was totally screwed this week. She was gone no matter how good she did. Really Ross? A fucking shoe critique but not gonna point out that thst MIB made her teacher just look like a black blob with bad makeup. Love DR. Just love it more when it doesn't feel as orchestrated during a season. Just hide the favoritism better.

Anetra - deserved the win, she understood what the makeover challenge is about. It’s another bodysuit, looks similar to her top to pieces look and she could have been more distinguished between her and her daughter for my liking cause it seems like the same look twice instead of 2 connected looks. but still, work. Sasha: she looks ok, not a fan of the padding and not a fan of the dresses, I don’t think they represent her to a tee like the challenge asks but ok Mistress: I think the looks were kinda simple and the makeup on The teacher was WAAAAAAY heavier than it needed to be; I don’t think black and mint green go together like that, it was a safe performance. She understood she had to look like herself tho so good job on that Loosey: honestly idk, they should have been in the top, or at least safe! Loosey’s choices weren’t really fashion forward but they represent her campy aesthetic and the teacher looks just like her so she very much nailed the challenge; the details could have been elevated cause the actual look is not that exciting but since the level here wasn’t as high I don’t think she was that far off Luxx: bad drag mom, bad in dealing with frustrations, bad at recognizing how she hit the jackpot with the Jennifer Coolidge look alike, she could have made a bend and snap moment with an Elle woods inspired look and then reference the twins with the trotting; it would have been genius; but yeah. Her attitude is a now, the looks were disconnected and she was relying on body again cause relying on Naomi Smalls’ aesthetic can only take you so far; I think she showed why her arch in this season is cold and unlike any winner arc, she is the same bitter immature bratty queen from day 1; next. I would have given the win to Anetra I would have swapped Loosey with Sasha tho but anyways

Am I the only one who thought Loosey’s outfits were heinous? That pattern was so ugly. Her taste just isn’t at the level it needs to be, and the shoes sealed the deal. Also, I’ve been giving Loosey the benefit of the doubt because I know how much the editors can twist perceptions, but her interview after her elimination was SO petty and spiteful. That was 100% all her. She really is that delusional. Side note: She’s been complaining on Twitter all season that the producers asked her to list all her main and mini wins and aired it out of context, but baby she still keeps counting her mini challenge wins in conversation with other girls unprompted. Unpopular opinion but I thought Mistress and Madam should have won. I couldn’t take my eyes off them! Madam was stunning and you could tell Mistress really took the time to connect with her and gas her up. Madam was SO confident. Anetra and Alektra were my close second choice though! Tbh, Sasha’s padding was funky, but since the padding company were sponsors I don’t think the judges could critique that. I wish Luxx would have had the foresight to see how much her lady looked like Jennifer Coolidge and leaned into it. I couldn’t stop screaming, she was so cute and funny. Luxx dropped the ball hard. Excited for the final four!

I love the makeover episode because makeovers are always fantastic and fun. I hate makeover episodes because it now always turns into “we’re gonna put you in the bottom no matter what you do because you’re just not gonna win or go to finale sorry grrr”. Also whenever I hear a critique followed by “we’re getting to that point” I’m just going to assume that Queen is going home.
I don’t get the Luxx hate when it comes to how she interacted with her teacher. Literally the other girls said it, she looked super anxious and in her head, so yeah she didn't really connect with her teacher but I see so many people assume that it was malicious? Honestly I think she panicked when she saw who she was paired with because Asia Azul doesn't have the same body type as hers and seeing the final look Luxx made for her I think she's used to make things for herself but not for other body types (I felt like this kind of dress would look better on a super skinny queen like Luxx herself). Which if true would be on her, sure, but I don’t think it deserves this level of hate lol. Well...this was a sweet and touching episode, partially ruined by blatant riggory. Last week I said Loosey was going home no matter how she did, because the edit was telling us she is delusional... I did not expect to be so right. Like Cheryl Hole, she gave perfect family resemblance, yet was in the bottom for it.😔 I think they left in her little speech at the end thinking she'd look bitter for it but...it's not like she lied. Except for the talent show and the Ball, she has always done well, and given some great performances.🤷 This is also the third time I expected Mistress to do great at something ( interview, stand up and makeover) and she flopped, but still skated by. Love her, but I think I'm in my "tired of favouritism" era. Very happy for Anetra, I think she and Sasha did great and are very deserving frontrunners ( still #teamsasha, tough). All the teachers were really lovely and seemed to have so much fun... Loved that Asia ended up feeling the fantasy despite the rocky start, and Ferocity was fantastic in the lipsync. Speaking of lipsyncs... You know how, when June went home ( it was chocolate 📯), people said she lost the lipsync more than Maddie won it?... Well, I was reminded of that. Hayley was great and looked beautiful, wish she had seen better performances of her song! ♥️
Soo we again had an episode where Mistress avoids the bottom for no discernable reason, so far we have - She wad gifted the lipsync win against Jax in the Lalaparooza when Jax clearly did better - Was like a deer in headlights in the Love Connie interview - Was the least funny in the stand up challenge by faaar - Did terrible in the Rusical, looked like she was thinking about not screwing up her moves the whole time. Loosey who was in the bottom did clearly better - Now this shit where I have no idea how she wasn't in the bottom Remind me why she's a frontrunner again??
- she HANDS DOWN won that lipsync against Jax - she did poorly in the interview and Salina should have been nowhere near the bottom, but still bottom 2 should have been Marcia and Malaysia, not Mistress - it’s been said that they cut a lot from her standup because it wasn’t appropriate and I can see that, still I think Marcia Sasha and Anetra did worse anyway - she was incredible in the Rusical and in fact should have won - makeovers are always all over the place and they could have easily justified putting ANYONE in the bottom. Literally all of them. If “you didn’t stone your shoes” is a valid reason then anything is. They equally could have given the win to anyone, including mistress Glad to have helped 🤗

Frankly, Mistress openly said she wears floor-length gowns to hide her kitten heels to avoid the commentary. I'm not the biggest Naomi Smalls fan, but her comment on the Pit Stop about queens and biscuit heels not being okay is correct.
Ross actually does comment on the height of the heel. He doesn’t directly suggest she wear a higher heel, like he does suggest Loosey should’ve stoned it, but does make a dig about how the shoe is “2cm tall” after the queens have left the stage. I didn’t know MIB’s strategy with wearing floor length gowns to hide her kitten heels tho — that’s actually superrr smart (bc obviously kitten heels do nothing to flatter the legs)

Well, how much fun one has on stage is up for interpretation... I mentioned the workroom because that's the one time she could talk about how she felt. It's like with Monet and Tyler Oakley: Michelle said she saw no connection but to us-;the viewers- they seem to have a very cute rapport 🤷
again i think you're kind of missing it, it's not only about having fun, the challenge is to turn these civilians into performers with some semblance of stage presence with confidence and chemistry with your partner on stage.
Yeah, still missing where Loosey failed to do that. She bonded with her teacher, she made her feel comfortable in the werk room and onstage, and gave her elements of LaDuca without making her an exact replica. They clocked her for a shoe and said she looked uncomfortable onstage, but we see no evidence of the latter. It’s just words with zero substance to back it based on what we were shown in the edit.
i can agree that they were grasping at a lot nonsense straws to justify her being in the bottom. i do agree a little bit that compared to some of the other makeover queens she may have not Shone as much as she couldve, and i found the look a bit underwhelming, but that could be completely subjective. everyone knows that the secret reason is because it's a reality tv show first and a competition second, as well as doing good in challenges and runways you also need to show the show and judges that you're worth keeping around and thay you've got more potential and more to show both to them and the cameras. it just wouldn't have been as interesting to keep loosey. and she doesn't scream winner material in my opinion she was gonna get eliminated one episode or another anyway so does it matter to the judges? plus now she's got the privilege of being the "robbed" queen, and that's a huge publicity boost edit: typos

For all we know, production blatantly sent Loosey home bc they knew the audience would see the rigga morris of it all 😂 And ftr, I also think Loosey was a fairly by-the-numbers queen (I stan the dancers so Anetra’s my 👑 this season) so it definitely felt like it was her time vs the other queens. Loosy Leduka is not my fav but the riggery this season against her is beyond annoying and a frustration to watch. This episode I would have pinned her 2nd. If they are truly "splitting hairs", there was plenty to split hairs with the others.
Loosey is quite touchy with feeling as we have seen how she’s with the girl, as Salina told her to not to let the girls get a raise out of him. It’s like you know someone will overreact and you deliberately annoy them. But for Loosey I feel like the production is doing that too.
So Luxx obviously did much better than Loosey in the lip sync, but I can't believe she continued her Middle School crap with trying to block Lucy repeatedly. Edit: I mainly just meant that I didn't think this point tipped the lip sync from Luxx to Loosey itself. Between the way they ended it, and the fact that Loosey had already been in the bottom, justified or not, it was very obvious but productions play in this episode was.

I have to disagree respectfully I think Loosey actually did better than Luxx in the lip sync and I feel like she should have been the one to go home based on not meeting the challenge the attitude she had with her teacher and the flip floppity thing she was doing all over stage. I have been a fan of Luxx this whole season but this episode not only did she disappoint but her attitude actually made me downright mad. I'd go as far as to say, and trust me I can't believe I'm actually saying this, I don't actually think Loosey should have been in the bottom I think it should have been Mistress. Mistress did something that in the past has often been called out and reasons Queens have gone home. The mug was beautiful the face was on point the problem was she defaulted back to a safe dress of a long velvet stretch fabric with a boa, and if you look at when that happened in the past who did that they were called out and it was a big reason why they went home on that episode.

I'd be so interested to learn about the demographics of support for Loosey and Luxx over their feuds on the show. I'm Luxx's age and I don't see mean girl in her? I just see her gassing herself up and living as the main character, which does lead to some selfish moments. I can't relate much to Loosey unfortunately, but to me she came off as quite insecure and taking herself too seriously. They're both "delusional" in their own way, I get "fake it til you make it" like Loosey said, but Luxx is a better actress in that regard for sure. That being said... Loosey and her partner looked amazing this episode and she should air her feelings because she's right. Ross' shoe critique was giving early FPR Raven 😭
That’s so interesting. I have heard several established queens blame the new generation of fans for being too sensitive and calling everything bullying and gaslighting, so I find it very interesting to hear another perspective. I am an elder millennial and I agree with your whole first paragraph. Luxx is entertaining to watch and gives off an aura of ease because she does not seem worried about what anyone else thinks of her. Some of these Loosey confessionals are like watching a talented person give a PowerPoint on why they should have gotten a better SAT score. She talented, but the competition reality show part did not bring out the best of her personality, IMO.

Luxx has repeatedly been rude to Loosey and then gaslights her when she gets upset about it. She repeatedly has just come for her for no reason, laughs about it and generally treats her like she’s insane and delusional. Did you not see Loosey crying to Salina about it? I’m around that age and I can’t see how people don’t see the straight up bullying. It’s not being the main character when you attack other people for no reason.
I don't think it's responsible to use the word bullying lightly (and gaslighting either, while we're at it). I really felt for Loosey when she was talking to Salina, but to then claim Luxx (and Mistress) bullied her is a stretch imo. I interpreted it as her justification for why she got so in her feelings, which is understandable, but that doesn't mean that us viewers should assign malicious intent to any party. We only get to see 40-60 minutes of edited footage with everyone's TV character, and if the girls had a problem with each other as *people*, they'd deal with it in private.
The scene where they were picking parts for the rustical genuinely showed actual bullying and gaslighting. They would literally insult her, giggle when she would talk to act like she was being embarrassing or something, and then when she would react they’d act like she was insane. That’s textbook gaslighting and I don’t understand how someone could watch the show, see them going so hard at her for no reason (it wasn’t even like a rivalry they were both just cruel for no reason), and no see an issue with it or understand it was actual bullying. I liked mistress in the beginning but her and Luxx’s behavior left such a nasty taste in my mouth I stopped liking her the last several episodes cause it was just so unnecessary. It went past the point of regular shade. She literally broke down into tears about how they were treating her (that is exactly what happened, she was talking about how they snicker when she talks and stuff), and that to me is fully bullying atp.
I'm saying it's a reality TV show. No need to call Luxx and Mistress cruel bullies. We don't know the full story! Clearly what was shown in the rusical ep portrayed Loosey as a victim, and I think most of us viewers side with her in the moment with Salina, but taking that moment to then bash Luxx and Mistress' personal character is not it. I don't think it's right to compare actual real life bullies to queens trolling on a show.
I love Mistress and I really appreciated her for how quickly and beautifully she bonded with her partner but I still think she should have been in the bottom instead of Loosey. Yes they had amazing chemistry in the werk room and on the runway, but I feel that she really screwed up Madame Thang's look on every level. The make up wasn't giving which is baffling to me because she said herself that the two of them looked pretty similar and we all know that she paints herself to perfection. I get that her partner refused to shave her eyebrows but that doesn't excuse that hideous nose contour. And tbh, I also didn't like the outfit she made for Madame. The black on black gave no contrast and I feel like she just got swallowed by the whole thing because you couldn't really tell where her body ended and that giant boa began. Which again really confused me because MIB has basically the same body type and has been serving impeccible body every episode, INCLUDING THIS ONE. Maybe it read differently in the werk room with brighter lighting but it really didn't work for me on the main stage. So, bottom line, yes, the two of them were a joy to watch, but at least for me that didn't make up for this mess of an outfit and I really don't understand how it wasn't even brought up by the judges. Like not even in a "yeah the outfit wasn't great but the two of you sold it so we don't care" kinda way. All of that being said this top 4 makes perfect sense to me so whatever

Luxx’s lip sync was horrible. No sense of control or style and she didn’t know the words lol. Everyone on Twitter saying she “ate Loosey up” clearly have no idea what the qualities of a good lip sync are. She was like a chaotic toddler button smashing on Mortal Kombat.
The whole “we’re splitting hairs” thing is so annoying because if that’s the metric: - Sasha’s padding was off - Mistress - the dress and makeup swallowed her partner up and the color scheme between the two of them was even more off than Luxx’s and her partners - Anetra’s been giving us this same silhouette for weeks - None of them had matching shoes with their partners (Ross’s critique for Loosey) - Luxx’s goes without needing any commentary None of that is to shade any of the queens who were safe/won, it’s just so frustrating how obvious the riggery was this past episode.

The past several weeks you don’t even need to watch the challenge to know who’ll be in the bottom. Producers have already chosen their favorite queens and everything is just manufactured so that they’re still here at the end.
Yeah it does seem that way. You can find ways to justify putting anyone in the bottom with critiques.
This whole "Loosey Laduca sucks, actually" drama is the most manufactured thing I've seen on drag race in a while. Mistress was definitely the worst this episode. Her partner's makeup was so bad and the black was a terrible color choice for such a small person.

That makes sense. Thanks for the info. I can't imagine most of the queens had shoes that would work for real women, either, between both sizing and (Mistress-aside) the actual walkability. Toddlers can walk in Mistress's biscuits. You think they'd have had more believable options for the women they'd be putting in drag, but part of me just pictures Ru looking at a wall of the most dangerous shoes available and saying "I need them to be more."

I recognise this is probably controversial and cunty, but who in the fuck told Luxx they could dance? Doing far too much up on that stage, flailing arms and legs with almost no rhythm whatsoever and knowing less than half of the words? I really cannot. Loosey 1000% did NOT deserve bottom placement this episode, and she did not deserve to go home against whatever mess that was that Luxx just put out. Sorry bout it.
didn’t realize the general consensus on this subreddit is that mistress bad and loosey good 😭 it’s never that easy, and we know how to editors love to spin things in whatever way that’ll get people talking. i love mistress, being a plus size performer myself, her unabashed love for the arts and her quick tongue are so entertaining to me. i don’t see her as a bully in any capacity, it’s literally drag race. we’ve forgotten how absolutely catty and shady some of these seasons can be… and this one isn’t even that bad. loosey boohoo cries every episode about how she isn’t doing better - what was the polly pocket dress she had on today? with jewelry and makeup that looked like they were part of a completely different outfit? and y’all think she should’ve been before mistress? when luxx said that loosey’s drag was something they’ve already seen before, i partially agree. loosey botched her talent show start from the beginning by attempting to sing a high intensity song while moving - which she couldn’t - and then gave us overused looks we’ve seen millions of times. she was with the cream of the crop, and i think she deserved to go home.

Agree! Luxx is Naomi Smalls redux and Mistress is no Eureka (who was denied the crown twice!) ——-Loosey comes off as too buttoned up, but that’s because she is a queen who comes off as ‘professional’. She is sort of in the Trinity the Tuck mold, but she did not deserve the Wrath of judges, as of late - especially when Anetra has just been living off Walking the duck and a mistress has just been…..
I actually agree with you, I've been thinking the same thing! The other queens' drag styles have been done before too, so why is that only a negative for Loosey.
loosey hater is a wild term 😭😭 i don’t HATE the woman by any means, i just dislike her drag, and i’m reasonably annoyed by the edit she was given (as was the intention of her edit). a thing you have to remember when it comes to uniqueness it isn’t just style that contributes to that - it’s identity.

It was a low blow from Luxx which makes me like Luxx less. I admit Luxx won the lipsync though. Before Ru announced it I was like "Dammit she just won that."

Omg yes! Im actually shocked seeing all the hate for both mistress and luxx, like are we watching the same show? This season is a little dull without them. 
People say they miss the earlier seasons until they get queens that gives earlier season energy. Then they want to feel bad for the queen that wants to include mini challenges as wins. But then they keep saying they wish Irene would have stayed. People just want a reason to complain.
I don't mind them, usually. I'm not really rooting for either, they mostly make my eyes roll, but I will say they are usually good TV. I just didn't like Luxx with her teacher. It was not quite as bad as Baga with her mom, but still. I'm an Anetra-stan for the same reason I was a Tati one for S2 and AS2. I like bitches who keep it real and don't have time for bullshit. (Raven in S2 also made my eyes roll - mostly with the Tyra defense; to give an idea of the kind of queens I typically root for)

i agree with you 100%, however i would like to add that as the fan base of this show we are not in tune with what really happens on the show so all this hate for mistress/luxx/loosey is so undeserved in my opinion and while we can voice our opinions i don’t think we should voice them to such an intense degree where we start calling mistress an uglier and fatter eureka(yes i saw someone call her that it was so disgusting to witness) but i think this also applies to loosey too. as the fan base of this amazing show i think we should all voice our opinions while offering criticism about the result need be. so please everyone just save the harsh words and don’t throw around the term bully when we don’t know what happened

This episode really hit home for me about how important good, caring teachers are. My 4th grade teacher, Mrs. Harper was one. I was “that” super poor, dirty, neglected kid in class. She gave me extra attention, and spent her own money to buy me a backpack and some clothes. I think about her often

Luxx should have padded. She couldn't stand for one second not being the skinniest in the room and in every single dimension. And that meant her and her partner looked nothing alike. What Sasha did in this episode was smart, she didn't need to pad but she knew that the padding company was one of the sponsors so she did it anyway. As a result, her and her partner looked even more related. I'm tired of these super skinny queens not being able to look anything but super skinny. It's boring.

I mean the edit can do a lot of things, but it can't make you manufacture full lines. And they aren't deepfaking your behaviors. One thing I really appreciated about Roxxy was how she owned up to saying what she said doing what she did. I mean *showing* that probably is the justification for getting rid of her, but it doesn't get rid of the fact if happened. Her attitude on the stage during the lip sync prep was ... omg. This poor woman. Also I cannot fathom the world where you would cut fabric while looking away from it and the woman trying to engage you in any sort of getting-to-know-you conversation.

I think this cast and season is soooooo good. I feel like the girls this season gave less fucks and were less edited?? Other ppl said it but yes the rigging felt so obvious this season it was crazy though. We need more girls like S15 girls.
Why? Wasn't? MIB? In? The? Bottom? Madame Thang looked like a Disney villain. This episode should be renamed: "_the episode production finally got rid of Loosey_" And Luxx' lipsync was.. something else.. bouncing all over the stage and definitely not knowing the words.
Right?! Madam was done DIRTY!!! The riggory of it all! Poor Loosy, she was so much better than MIB in the makeover challenge, and her lip synch was SO much better than Luxx! It was embarrassing how badly Luxx lip synced, and her stage work just came off as attempt after attempt to hide her face and the fact tray she wasn't even trying to fake lip synch. Yet another season where the bully cast member goes all the way, based not off talent but rather the hopes that they'll cause drama and boost ratings. Almost every season has these characters, and I hate it; I tire of the negativity these bullies bring. MIB isn't fun or funny, she's a deeply wounded person who inflicts pain on others instead of dealing with her trauma. She acts like a big ol' cunt and I REALLY hope either she or Luxx leaves in the next episode. You were robbed, Loosy! Final three should have been Anetra, Sasha, and Loosy! Also, Ru keeping in people he's clearly lusting after is getting embarrassing. I look forward to the eventual host change and to a more fair era of judging.
MIB is awful but brutally funny and worth it, IMO - only really turns terrible when around Luxx. Luxx has nothing but delusion, and a mean girl schtick that only works with Mistress around. I legitimately may not watch the finale if both MIB and Luxx are still in, just bc it's been so unpleasant to watch them together.
I really don't find MIB funny, she's genuinely mean. That laughing whilst Loosy was talking thing, that's a classic bullying technique. It honestly felt like production was trying to gaslight Loosy this season. I agree Luxx is delusional, it's shocking, she thinks she's AMAZING but she's pretty meh. I did like her House of Visage design, though.

Anetra was great, loving her so much. Well deserved. Sasha could've also won and I would've been happy. Loosey did not deserve the bottom. Nor has she deserved the bullying that's happened. MIB and Luxx should've lip synced. MIB had the same dress but nothing to bring the two together - they could've at least swapped boas. The makeup on her teacher was also very dark, I found it hard to read the face. Luxx's lip sync was a mess, personally. I don't think she has much control over her movements, which makes it look very messy.
Sometimes drag makeup on the wrong face makes all their features look small and out of proportion, which is what I think happened with Madame Thang. absolutely not a fan.
MIB and Luxx lipsyncing would also have been a great and intense storyline, friends turned opponents etc - so annoying to see the production rigging things in such an obvious and boring way.
