Not a for sale post. Just wanted to post a pic of some of my kits. I bet a lot of us have a backlog of kits so I just wanted to tease a bit of mine. Will be doing a master post of all of my kits later. Was hoping to encourage people to show their collection. There are definitely a ton of kits im sure a lot of us havent seen.
Ah no worries. Theyre the boxes of some kits that i have that i havent gotten to. Im mostly just posting these so it can start a conversation and maybe get other people to post their collection.
gosh I love the box design, thanks for sharing! having joining the Japanese doujin market felt like I can't half-ass on my items, but between making sure my models fit, printable, fun to paint, vs pretty packaging or even at its least a documentation of sorts(including painting tutorial sometimes; which is why there used to be so many japanese blogs on GK assembly), there's a crapton of things to do as an individual
Same! The rei and asuka were the first kits i got from this company and legit the reason i wanted them were the box art was so cute! The side panel drawings are larger and show more on the cover. Concidering how great the quality of the cast was, i wanted to buy more from the company. Finding them is really hard though bc of how old they are.
If youre a sculptor yourself and sell goods, i can onky imagime how much work you have to do to get people to want to purchase ypur stuff. Thats why sometimes package design is so important, because of suckers like me that will buy this just bc packing is cute lmao
Yup, the Eva kids and Sasami were found on ebay while kiyone and Mylene were found on yahoojp or buyee. But be warned about jajp/buyee, so many fees and shipping is hell. Mylene was $130 but after fees and shipping she came out to be about $180-200.
This company in particular Im really happy about. All 5 of these were casted really well. Almost no seam or flash in any of the kits. They all look flawless and are super smooth. And they're some of favorite characters from their respective series.

Could you post a little info for the uninitiated? The boxes look old, but I have no idea what I'm looking at.

Where do you find older kits like this?
Sometimes they pop up on ebay. Usually you can find them on Yahoo japan auctions
Oh ok, thank you so much!

These are great. I have only bought old kits so I totally get the desire to flex sometimes about the stuff you have been able to find that's rare
