Yeah it’s one of his best solo tracks.
Although I think Jonny wrote the riff I believe.
As for hollow earth- that one’s really good too.
I think the last time he played it live was with AFP.
That’s back when it was called Reckoner.
That was the original Reckoner.
Very different sounding.
Radiohead have never played Feeling Pulled Apart by Horses.
Don’t mean to be pedantic but them’s the facts.
So far: Bending Hectic without a doubt.
I think that Colours Fly have very good potential to develop in the studio (and if you compare the later performances of this song to earlier gigs, it already has improved a lot, imo).
Also curious to see what happens with Under The Pillow. It sounds good but a little strange with all parts combining, I think they will make it much more straight forward in the studio.
It/Flanges will also be cool but I can’t see as much potential in development as the ones I mentioned.
Yeah Under Our Pillows has the potential to be really amazing, something about the first section being so reminiscent of Thin Thing does bother me just a tad though
Agree with that. Honestly I think the band noticed that it’s way too similar and therefore stopped playing it live (think they played it only 2 times?).
The guitar is good but too similar to Thin Thing, but the melody is fun and catchy, so I think they’ll work on that one a lot
Not to be flippant but isn't it a bit too early to declare that they've stopped playing it live when its live debut was on July 14, 2022, less than one month ago?
We don't know if it's Cut a Hole yet - which I'd love to see released - but was only performed twice in late February and early March 2012. Under Our Pillows could easily show up on upcoming dates - the next one is August 28th at All Points East
All this new material has me so excited I think I'll just have to do a mini tierlist:
S - Bending Hectic (Has the potential to be an all time classic)
A - It/Flangers, Under Our Pillow, Just Eyes & Mouth, Colours Fly (Great songs already with the potential to shoot up to S tier with some more refining)
B - Bodies Laughing, People on Balconies (Really enjoyable tunes, Bodies Laugbing has grown on me a lot in particular)
Bending Hectic sounds like it has the potential to be an all-timer.
Just Eyes And Mouth. It was a crime to leave it off the debut and it’s been around since the beginning.
It/Flangers and Bending Hectic so far. All of them are great.
This kind of phone calls
haven't listened to any of them yet, wanna hear the next album first.
Me too
Bending Hectic, not even close
Right now, It is my favorite. But I still love People on Balconies. And Bending Hectic and Under Our Pillows both have potential to be legendary.
Pulled Apart By Horses is a Thom solo song that’s been out since 2009, released on vinyl and digital
A damn good one too, I kinda wish Thom gave The Hollow Earth just as much love though

Radiohead played it live in the early 2000s, one of thier most rocking tracks ever. Never released it and then Thom put out his own solo version in 09

I wouldn’t say it’s the same song as the band performed as it sounds quite different, but yes, this is all true.
No love for Teleharmonic Phaser?
I don’t think they played it live yet
So? It’s even a step further. We know it’s been properly recorded and in the can.
Well, I couldn’t find a full version of the song. If all I can listen to is 1min of a song with dialogue over it, I can’t really judge it
We do? How’s that?
A studio version was used in Peaky Blinders.
Yeah I’ve heard that but haven’t seen anyone post it on YouTube
here ya go https://youtu.be/rhUcWwAN_b8
Thank you

Eyes & Mouth
You can only choose one!
very funny
Bending Hectic by a long shot, I think it has that dawn chorus vibe

Calling it now. Second album out before the end of the year.
From your lips to God’s ears.
Bending Hectic all the way
