some great ones already mentioned here (climbing up the walls stan) but i love how the strings in burn the witch build up towards the climax at the end - its like the more sinister edges of the strings present throughout the choruses (mainly) finally accumulate and explode
From Pablo honey, blow out obviously and prove yourself
Bends is planet telex
Ok computy is all of the tracks lol, especially airbag. When the main riff comes back it’s glorious. Climbing up with thoms scream, lucky with the epic solo at the end, tourist with the final chorus.
Kid a is probably self titled and optimistic
Amnesiac is pyramid song with those epic strings, YAWA no need to explain and glasshouse's ONLYYYYYY
httt is sit up stand down, there there of course, myxomatosis from my thoughts are misguided and wolf at the door with the howling
I love all I need climax from IR, song is essentially a different take on YAWA, reckoned and jigsaw also have epic climaxes
Give up the ghost and separator have beautiful endings both
From AMSP decks dark is probably my favorite, their most haunting and somber climax ever, I also love daydreamings ending before the creepy muttering, ful stop is cool too, tinker tailor with those epic strings too and TLW when the piano goes harder after the crazy kitten smile line
Radiohead song: All I need - does anything need to be said about this one?
Radiohead song: Climbing Up the Walls - when Thom does that scream at the end, it still gives me goosebumps every time I hear it.
Non-Radiohead/Thom-only song: Rabbit in Your Headlights - this UNKLE-produced track is one of my favorites because of the incredible second half when Thom sings with such conviction and emotion that builds up to a sweet release. It's a shame that more Radiohead fans aren't into the track as it's a very powerful piece and IMO one of the best things Yorke has been involved with.
“Strooooobe lights and blown speakers. Fire works and huuuuuuuuuricanes. I’M NOT HERE!” That I’m not here always gets me a little emotional and it’s just so screamable.
The moment I saw this question - I instantly thought of the island of calm at the end of How To Disappear Completely, so it has to be that. Close 2nd - the way "There There" demolishes all of creation.
Emotionally, there are too many songs, but for the sake of not saying what everyone else is saying: Last Flowers. "It's too much, too bright, too powerful".
Musically, just for jamming out: Optimistic. Right at the end after the "I'd really like to help you man" line. Everything just clicks and I start floating.
From each album:
Pablo Honey- Stop Whispering, Blow Out, Creep (coincidentally my 3 favourite songs on the album, in that order)
The Bends- I know there's at least one I love on this album, but I can't think of any off the top of my head.
OK Computer- Exit Music, Climbing Up the Walls, The Tourist
Kid A- Can't think of any.
Amnesiac- Knives Out, You And Whose Army?
Hail To The Thief- Sit Down. Stand Up.
In Rainbows- Nude
The King Of Limbs- Every climax on the album
A Moon Shaped Pool- Again, every climax on the album.
There’s literally tons on Kid A!
Everything in its right place - “tried to say!!” Perfect build up and perfect release
The National Anthem - When it cuts to just the horns at the end. Sensational.
How To Disappear Completely - Whole song is a bloody climax but when all the mess cuts out towards the end and it’s just Thom’s wailing is blissful
Optimistic - You can’t tell me that last part of Optimistic right before the tacked on but at the end that transitions you into In Limbo isn’t an absolute climax of everything we just heard. If you don’t believe me, watch any live performance of the song and watch as all five of them go absolutely crazy at the end of the song. Superb!
Morning Bell - The 2 minute long build up after “Cut the Kids in half” is a huge climax that caps of the song perfectly
Motion Picture Soundtrack - “I will see you in the next life” then the harps and the resounding G major chord caps the entire album off in such an orgasmic way.
Listen to more Kid A! There’s tons of these moments to be found and respected
Ful Stop
Karma Police
Exit Music
Motion Picture Soundtrack
My Iron Lung
Creep 🤢🤢🤢
Are really good choices but my absolute favourite has to be: LIFE IN A GLASSHOUSE
Last chorus of Let Down; ending of All I Need; last verse of Jigsaw; Exit Music "We hope your rules and wisdom choke you"; solos in Paranoid Android; build up and solo at the end of Lucky.
Just so many good ones to choose from.
Since I haven’t seen this mentioned yet… Bangers + Mash.
Back into your SoOoUuUullll.
I’ll never forget listening to it the first time thinking it was a more straightforward rock sound and less experimental, and then that part came on immediately challenging that notion.
Climbing Up The Walls, that climax is total fire
Seeing it live is transcendent. Thom screaming into his acoustic.
The last part of Exit Music and the Rain dooown in paranoid android
That but fucks me up everytime
For me this is the best moment in Radiohead's discography. Hands down
I second How To Disappear Completely and I want to throw in All I Need.
let down at that one part
"I get eaten by the worms" in Weird Fishes/Arpeggi
The moment of clarity emerging from the madness in How To Disappear Completely. There’s nothing like it.
It’s out of this world
Came here to say exactly this. I think how to disappear is the only song I've ever cried to on my first listen.
When the drums come in in exit music. Never disappoints, chills every time
Or when the drums come in on Pyramid Song

The daily mail right after "You got away with it, but we lie in wait" that part is fkn awsome
Wake me up in Separator
Such a beautiful song. From the "I fell open" line onward, it's just a transcendent song.
Closing guitar solo in Just. HM's to the string breakdown Tinker Tailor and the last minute and a half or so of Reckoner.
The raindrops x47
One of their best "banger" type songs for sure
"Aaaaannnnddd nnnnoooooowwwww we are one in everlaaaasting peeeeaaaccce."
Is Let Down allowed in this contest? The greatest climax in *any* song, not just Radiohead.
There, There when Jonny’s guitar solo starts.
💯… and the way he drags out the word “there…”
When the oooohOOOOHHoooohh hits in Present Tense
Ful Stop
All I Need drums
The bride and post-bridge guitar freakout at the end of Bodysnatchers
All I Need and Decks Dark that bass line hits to hard
Obvious one but “for a minute there” in Karma Police
Jigsaw for sure
some great ones already mentioned here (climbing up the walls stan) but i love how the strings in burn the witch build up towards the climax at the end - its like the more sinister edges of the strings present throughout the choruses (mainly) finally accumulate and explode
I love to climax with Exit Music.
The solo into the last chorus of The Tourist hits pretty hard
We riiiiiide toonnnniiiiggghhttt
Let Down when the background vocals hit the falsetto around 4:07
TRIED TO SAYYYYYYY!!!!
When the harp hits in Motion Picture.

All I need, 2+2=5, climbing up the wall, there there and exit music for a film
Really digging the one in Optimistic recently
you go to hell forrr whattt your dirty mind iiiiiiiis thiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiinkinnnnnnnn!!!!!!!!

Exit Music omg chills
Jigsaw
HeeeeeEEEEEEEYYYYY MAAAAAAN SLOW DOOOOOWWWWN after the guitar solo in The Tourist
You and Whose Army?
“Strooooobe lights and blown speakers. Fire works and huuuuuuuuuricanes. I’M NOT HERE!” That I’m not here always gets me a little emotional and it’s just so screamable.
Horns in Life in a Glasshouse
Gotta go with the moment of clarity in HTDC and the absolutely nutso drums from Weird Fishes and Jigsaw
The layered vocals in Verse 3 of Let Down
Let Down!
Karma police
Street spirit
The end of blow out
Exit Music or, maybe weird choice, the end to Nude (if you can even call that a climax)
The beat goes round and round…. THE BEAT GOES ROUND AND ROUND
Bulletproof
The moment I saw this question - I instantly thought of the island of calm at the end of How To Disappear Completely, so it has to be that. Close 2nd - the way "There There" demolishes all of creation.
Jigsaw when he gets into “wish away the nightmare”
ALL I NEED is the best Radiohead climax and there is absolutely no contest.
The "scat" outro in Nude is a personal favourite. The guitar ambience and strings merge so well with the layered vocals.

Ful Stop Karma Police Exit Music Motion Picture Soundtrack My Iron Lung Creep 🤢🤢🤢 Are really good choices but my absolute favourite has to be: LIFE IN A GLASSHOUSE
Ofcourse id like to sit around and chat about how awsome Life in a Glasshouse
The Daily Mail and Optimistic
Fake Plastic Trees, HTDC, Exit Music, Lucky, All I Need, The Bends
Exit Music or Let Down
Fake Plastic Trees and Let Down
Last chorus of Let Down; ending of All I Need; last verse of Jigsaw; Exit Music "We hope your rules and wisdom choke you"; solos in Paranoid Android; build up and solo at the end of Lucky. Just so many good ones to choose from.
All I Need, Exit Music, National Anthem, Daydreaming, and Fake Plastic Trees have my favorite climax moments
Bridge + last chorus of Just and ending of iron lung
Reckoner. Right after “Because we separate…”
Ful Stop
Probably reckoner
Not saying it's my very favorite, but I'm surprised not to see "Paying attention" from 2+2=5
There there when it goes into “we are accidents waiting to happen”
All I Need. The restrained emotions erupt and it’s just so powerful
Third verse of “let down”
Can’t choose between Exit Music and You and Whose Army. You know the sections I speak of…
Exit Music. I don’t think I have to say any more
Thom’s crazy wailing in The Bends “To blow me skyyy higggghhhh!! But my baby’s got the beeeeeeennnnnnnddddddsss”
Let Down
I’ve always had a soft spot for high and dry right at that solo
“… one day, I am gonna grow wings/a chemical reaction/hysterical and useless/HYSTERICAL AND…”
Polyethylene
Exit Music. Holy shit daydreaming when that part kicks in makes me feel like I'm about to have an out of body experience
Ending of Exit Music, or the ending of Daily Mail. Both of them have so much build up and such good pay off as well.
that part on Idioteque, when it goes all reverse and starts the "first of the children"
Jonny’s guitar in Just
Ugh. Cliches abound but it'd have to be Paranoid Android
Jigsaw falling into place it’s great
Nude: where Thom holds that one note
Ending of Karma Police, sounds like massive radio static until the radio catches on fire in the car and burns
Exit music (for a film) for sure
Drums kicking in during pyramid song
Morning Bell
Jigsaw Falling into Place Ful Stop Sit Down Stand Up
Since I haven’t seen this mentioned yet… Bangers + Mash. Back into your SoOoUuUullll. I’ll never forget listening to it the first time thinking it was a more straightforward rock sound and less experimental, and then that part came on immediately challenging that notion.
Mine
When the “get me out of here” harmonies come in on no surprises💧
You and Whose Army? When the drums kick in along with the piano chord, it obliterates me.
I have a lot, but probably There There "Why so Green and lonely who sent you here to me"
The "I will see you in the next life" bit in Motion Picture Soundtrack
