Thanks for submitting your post to r/QuittingKratom. This response is auto-generated on every new post submission. **THIS COMMENT DOES NOT NECESSARILY MEAN YOUR POST WILL BE REMOVED.** *Posts here are automatically placed in a cue for review / approval. Please be patient. A mod will get to your post soon. Thank you.* **Please read this in it's entirety. IF your post is removed, it could be for any of the reasons listed below.** But first, have you checked out our [Beginners Guide](https://www.reddit.com/r/quittingkratom/comments/7p0qx2/read_this_first_if_youre_new/) and all the other helpful resources on the sidebar? Also, be sure to make use of the key word search box on [Quitting Kratom's main page](https://old.reddit.com/r/quittingkratom/). Your question may have already been answered multiple times. If you are tapering to quit, please look at our helpful [Taper Guide](https://old.reddit.com/r/modquittingkratom/comments/63tjtd/tapering/). Many people have used it to successfully taper down, making the jump and ultimately quitting. **VERY IMPORTANT: Please ensure that your post is in accordance with our subreddit's [RULES](https://old.reddit.com/r/quittingkratom/about/rules/).** Violating any of these rules will result in your post not being placed in the 'live feed' / removed. As per Reddit's rules (not just ours), **absolutely no soliciting or sourcing is allowed (i.e. vendor or website names, etc.). In addition, posts / comments mentioning brand names (such as OPMS, for example) will be removed.** *If the post you've just submitted contains a brand name, please edit this post to read either "extracts" or "liquid shots" instead. Moderators will ensure your post goes "live" once this correction is made and you've [notified us](https://old.reddit.com/message/compose/?to=/r/quittingkratom).* Posts asking about using another potentially addictive substance (such as Phenibut, for example) to help with withdrawal will be removed. (The answer is NO, we do not recommend it. Why risk extending the withdrawal process or potentially swapping addictions?) This obviously does not include prescription medications (aka 'helper meds') authorized by a doctor, used temporarily to assist you during withdrawal; BUT **do not ask about dosage amounts or dosing frequency for these meds. We do not offer medical advice**. These type of questions should be asked of your physician or therapist only. Posts or comments asking for or offering medical advice will be removed. Posts or comments suggesting the use of illegal drugs will also be removed. Continued infractions could result in a temporary or permanent ban, at the discretion of moderators. **Supplements**: We've found the use of certain supplements to be helpful during withdrawal. A listing can be found in the [Beginners Guide](https://www.reddit.com/r/quittingkratom/comments/7p0qx2/read_this_first_if_youre_new/). Many of our members have also found the [Megadosing Liposomal Vitamin C Protocol](https://old.reddit.com/r/quittingkratom/comments/sx0as3/megadosing_liposomal_vitamin_c_protocol_for/) beneficial during acute stages of withdrawal. But as with most things, not every thing works for everyone. **The only purpose of this subreddit is to offer support to those who want to quit Kratom entirely.** Other than tapering to quit, references to active Kratom use, including but not limited to, occasional / 'responsible' use, use in moderation, use for pain management, etc. are not permitted. Posts / comments suggesting 'taking a tolerance break' will be removed. Any references to pro-Kratom subreddits, websites, etc. will be removed. Mentions of a Kratom ban, it's legality, the FDA, DEA, etc. are off-topic and removed. Repeated attempts to do so could result in being banned from this subreddit. Some members have used various **'nootropics'** for Kratom withdrawal. Kava, and some others, used in higher amounts for longer durations is ill advized. Please do your research thoroughly. In our experience, **exercise, although perhaps difficult during acute WDs, is the 'best medicine' to help with Kratom withdrawal.** Try to stay busy and active. As the old saying goes, 'idle hands are the devil's playground.' **It is our desire to offer a 'safe place' to recover from Kratom addiction.** Trolling, bullying, name calling or comments made in an unkind, unhelpful, derogatory manner will not be tolerated. If you see this type of behavior, or any other violation of subreddit [rules](https://old.reddit.com/r/quittingkratom/about/rules/), **please use the 'Report' button / link and the issue will be addressed asap**. Note: *This disclaimer could be edited and updated in the future without notice. Please do not ignore.* Thank you for your understanding and cooperation. **Best of luck with quitting Kratom. You CAN do this. TOGETHER we can quit and stay quit!** *I am a bot, and this action was performed automatically. Hey there, these pains you speak of I had been going thru previously while using Kratom. I had blood panels and psa test done. Looked for kidney and bladder stones. Found nothing. I was on a rather high dose 60+ gpd for two of the four years of daily use. Recovering heroin addict. I am only day 4 of a CT but I can tell ya that flank pain is already gone probably since I dont have a quarter pound of sludge in there. I hope the same for you. I may just be ru nning on empty but a friend told me that Kratom could cause such pains but he is no expert. Feeling good myself all natural. My appetite coming back today hope my gut stays the same. Best of luck guy. Just curious why did you wait till just before the wedding? Stress is a huge trigger for me. Congrats

FartMasterx69x

I didn’t intend to wait. I wanted to quit like 2 months before but I just couldn’t. And then I was debating just doing it 16 days before and these pains kind of forced me to. But yea I’m hoping they completely go away.

ShelbyFan594

Heck yea! Proud of you man, day 12 here and feeling loads better, you’ll be so happy wedding night

FartMasterx69x

Btw, I am still dealing with the urinary/bladder/prostate? pain but it seems to have gotten a bit better so I’m hoping by the end of this week, that’s all gone.

noclue919

What was your dosage?

FartMasterx69x

It’s been as high as 60 grams per day. I’ve taken kratom for like 5-6 years. Most recently I was taking the black extracts though. Originally it was 4 per day so basically 1 shot per dose but then I dropped it down to 2 per day so half shot per dose. So that’s roughly where I jumped from.

Dude you should consider a strict taper. I think that will be too much to cold turkey especially for your wedding. You may feel good now, but your withdrawal symptoms may be delayed. Mine were. PAWS were worse than the acutes for me. Do what you want, but especially at the amount you are on, I would taper. People that manage a strict taper usually get off easier from what I noticed. Like I said it’s up to you, but I’m warning you, you could save yourself a lot of trouble.

FartMasterx69x

I think you may be right. I’m feeling odd today and the lyrica helps a lot but I don’t wanna wind up addicted to that by taking it for 3 straight weeks. I may switch to kratom capsules so I can do a strict taper properly. I do fully intend on quitting when I get back. I’m so done with relying on any substance. I just wanna be normal again

AutoModerator

Be careful with Lyrica, it is highly addictive ..You don't want to be addicted to this. *I am a bot, and this action was performed automatically. Please [contact the moderators of this subreddit](/message/compose/?to=/r/quittingkratom) if you have any questions or concerns.*

I just don’t want you to be miserable during your wedding. Dont do extracts if you’re tapering though. I think tapering is a far better option and I wish I did that instead. When ever you get off any psych meds doctors don’t have you CT that. They help you to taper off of them. I shocked my system by CT.
