afoz345

Good idea! How do you apply it on a rougher surface like this one?

V1k1ng1990

Super soaker

GarGuy3

Just use an old rag

Caldin

with an old rag and going with the grain but if it's really rough sand with 80 or 120 grit

Specific_Buy

Omg yes!!!

External-Squirrel42

That’s some nice wood…..

[It's not as big as Buck's deck though. Buck has a huge deck - I know, I've seen it.](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nz82fjXqFQ4)

Did you wear a mask? The particles could aerosolize and get in your lungs. The water would help catch some of them but still

afoz345

No, I did not. I was also wearing flip flops.

_Starside_

You have two weeks left to live

chippewaChris

Did you read flip flops though? I’m thinking a few hours at best

afoz345

Lol!! I’ll get my affairs in order.

afoz345

I’m a legit scientific miracle. I’m still alive!!!

_Starside_

I appreciate the commitment to the bit xD

afoz345

It just popped in there and I had to keep it up!

Rizak

Just make sure you’re not throwing the linseed rags in the trash afterwards unless you want a forest fire.

macgruff

15 years of smoke… imagine your lungs! But also…, 15 years of normal wood surface discoloration would be about that color anyway, just maybe a little worse for wear from those skies also being smoke laden. You should target to maintain wood surfaces between 1 - 5 years depending upon sun exposure and other factors. My best friend does wood preservation as a contractor. Check out his FAQ: https://www.calpreserving.com/faq/

afoz345

Thanks!

Specific_Buy

sexytokeburgerz

Hope you sanded afterward…

ShooterOfCanons

🤦

afoz345

What?

Oral_B

I’d say the facepalm here is, you’re way too close with the tip of the gun, and you are also doing short back and forth passes. Every time you change directions you pause for a split second, leaving a lighter color line in the wood.

afoz345

Got ya. Thank you for the explanation.

SadFloppyPanda

I'm assuming that they're disappointed that you didn't finish filming the whole thing. #1 unspoken rule here is to finish cleaning it so you don't leave all of us with blue balls.

afoz345

Lol! My bad. I can post a finished product picture?
