Steven said that the songs and concepts for the TFB tour would probably be implemented into his next solo tour. I do not think he will preform any solo material with Porcupine Tree.
OK- good. I know he always separates solo vs PT but again..while iron is hot not sure if that would change things. I personally would rather see a full implementation in a solo show as well.
He's played PT songs with his solo band though. People bitched up a storm about Craig Blundell's playing on The Sound of Muzak. I would hope Steven would want to keep PT as it's own entity.
Highly doubtful he would play solo stuff. It would be weird Richard and Gavin.
Well actually it would be quite upsetting, it's like saying that he can do everything he wants. PT are PT, not an extension on SW's mind
He said on stage here in Houston that PT is his and he’ll play any of the songs he wants because they’re his songs. No ambiguity whatsoever.
He has almost verbatim said that he can do everything he wants haha but I definitely agree
PT has always a extension of Wilson's creative process, like it or not.. he was the founder, has written and arranged the majority of their discography/material, have you not heard Gavin say that SW basically brings demos to the band and they build off that..?
On the last Tour he referred to PT as a project he used to have. He didn't seem to be joking either.
Strongly hope he keeps them separate. I like *TFB* quite a lot but any non-PT song played on the PT tour would just be a wasted slot for a PT song.
pt will not play any sw songs. just look at blackfield or no man: they never played a single sw or pt song
the one single exception to the rule
Blackfield also performed Waiting.
I hope TFB never gets to be played live. Its a terrible record, weak concept, weak music.
Maybe TFB songs reinterpeted in a porcupine tree style?
To play any of TFB with Porcupine Tree would be... unwelcome. Part of me thinks that maybe the return of PT is the natural reaction to the poor reception of TFB.
Seemed pretty well received everywhere but Reddit. People forget that the internet is not real life.
It was crap though.
Unlikely ! But who knows ?
