PKD on his first story

What a man. It is just so evident that he saw the world in way more depth than most of us will ever do. It is no wonder that the core motive in his literature is empathy, seeing as he was able to consistently place himself in other's shoes and change his perceptions accordingly.
There are some really good PKD biographical documentaries on YouTube. Their are 3 I know of - one is BBC. They’re all very cleverly done. Quite entertaining and you appreciate how special PKD was to his (many) wives (lol) and friends.
Great find. Where’s that from?
It’s from a lecture he gave, I believe at the university of British Columbia in Canada.
It’s called “how to build a universe that doesn’t fall apart two days later.” Really entertaining read:
I've read this before but it's such a good blurb. It's so cool reading his stuff, especially his like realist fiction, with this in mind. It adds a layer to them.
“First, before I begin to bore you with the usual sorts of things science fiction writers say in speeches, let me bring you official greetings from Disneyland. I consider myself a spokesperson for Disneyland because I live just a few miles from it”
What an absolute character lol
[This is 'Roog', isn't it?](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Roog_(story))
[Text of the story.](https://books.google.de/books?id=ie0Vw7ygOj4C&pg=PA9&lpg=PA9&dq=Selected+Stories+of+Philip+K.+Dick+roog#v=onepage&q=Selected%20Stories%20of%20Philip%20K.%20Dick%20roog&f=false)
That last line really hits.
Thank you for sharing. What an incredibly profound man he was.
