There aren't solar panels small enough, but also powerful enough to power a PC by themselves.
You'd need a substantial battery pack included. I would, if possible, include a method of charging the battery pack using the energy produced while driving (similar to an alternator), while also including wireless charging with a specially made wireless charging station that both charges the PC's battery pack AND the RC's batteries.
EDIT: yes, it’s one hundred percent drivable. It’s got a full RC system including accurate sounds, lights, etc. the monitor is on the back of the cab and is powered by USB.
Here's the specs:
* Intel i5 9400F
* EVGA Z370 Stinger
* EVGA 2060 KO GPU
* GSkill Ripjaws 16GB DDR43600
* EVGA 120 AIO
* Tamiya 1/14th scale Mercedes Arocs Semi Truck and Container Trailer
EDIT 2: Video series on the build starts here: RC SEMI PC CASE! Ep1 - RC/PC [https://youtu.be/8jGY9f8AzVg](https://youtu.be/8jGY9f8AzVg)
There’s another episode coming, and it also links to my buddy who also did one!
EDIT 3:
HOLY EFF PLATINUM! Thank you Reddit!
EDIT 4: Thermals are really good. 32C CPU and 37C GPU at idle, 55/37 under load.
EDIT 5: Wow, this escalated quickly. Thanks very much for all the recognition, Reddit!

If that's ain't the case OP should ask for a promo of the game +all dlc and just make Video with him playing. 100% sure they would give away the game for such a video
I'm talking about a different guy. Well educated fellow who raps about his favorite museum displays. "Brothers who be Wright 'bout flight" is an absolute BANGER!
This is a masterpiece. Combines two of the best things in life. I don't have an award for your talent but you deserve all the praise for this masterpiece.
I agree and as soon as linus put that keyboard mat down pretty much defeated the purpose of his whole build...Hey what do I know best I can do is upgrade an 11-year-old computer
That's so awesome imagine driving your computer around That's crazy. Oh i need to move my pc in the other room, no problem easy. Lol
Amazing project, i love it. Meantime i struggle to create my own mini itx pc with display inside the case so i wont need any monitors
I've seen some incredible things this week. Emma and Medvedev winning grand slam, Ricciardo winning Monza on merit. This work of yours is up there. Well done.
This is pretty sick computers/container man. The one that caught my eye is the glowcube OLED screen. How did you get it to show all the computer stats? Are you using some Arduino with some sensors? Or a raspberry pi? Would love to know!
If you play ETS2 you enter Truckception.
Seriously though, this is a really cool build. I also had no idea that rc semi-trucks were a thing. I mean it makes sense that there are considering there are all sorts of radio-controlled vehicles out there.
I've been into radio-controlled cars for the longest time and have built...I don't know...20 of them over the years. I would absolutely do something like this if I had the time.
That container is just.. * chef's kiss *
Those little parts that have been welded on and therefore have a different color are a nice touch. Actually looks like a real container
Just don't try to run any AI algorithms on it. The last thing you would want for it to become sentiment and then start robbing the toy store for recruitment purposes.
That's fucking RAD my guy. I'd totally take that to a friend's for a LAN party but set it down in their driveway and RC it in. Because it's awesome and I could 🤣
I'm not a computer guy and I'm sure as hell not a truck guy, but this is fucking awesome. Fantastic job op, you could actually make money making computer cases like this.
One question though, does it have a driver?

the paint covered graffiti is a nice touch
Seriously
It's just... so wonderful. Thank you for sharing your hardwork. Absolutely love it!
Thanks very much for the kind words! It was a super fun build.
can you still drive it??
100%. Fully functional. Unplug the power cable and off you go. Keyboard, mouse, everything is wireless.
truly amazing. how long did this take you from concept to finish?
More time than I'd care to mention. I probably started this back in November of 2020.
Worth it.
You need wireless power!
Mini solar panels - gogo

that is so cool
A dedicated Truck Simulation rig? That's... Dedication.
Yeah dude this is awesome. Make a YouTube and become a custom RC guy. RC market is huge and I've only seen a few big you tubers
Already have a channel. It’s respectable.
Drop us a link. Wouldn't mind taking a look.
I found it in another comment https://youtu.be/8jGY9f8AzVg

I can't find that case on pcpartpicker
Ah, I see your mistake, you were browsing *pc*partpicker, you want to browse *rc*partpicker. /s
Instructions still unclear, accidentally went to rccarfucker.
/r/dragonsfuckingcars
i clicked thinking this would be one of those fake subs, but now i'm on a list.
List of cool dudes
That was a silly mistake. The fake one is r/carsfuckingdragons/
Please just rickroll me.
You know it's bad when someone ACTUALLY ASKS TO GET RICKROLLED. [r/ickroll](https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=dQw4w9WgXcQ)
r/fuckingdragoncars
Plebians, the real ones go to /r/carsfuckingcars
Why did I click on that, then confirm the age gate?
Science.
So very rule 34... never would'a guessed...

I'm not sure if I should be surprised by it's existence or unsurprised.
Oh god my eyes
WARNING We have reach the deepweb. Cannot be unseen . Proceed at your own risk

funny that even in 2021 people are still seeing this sub for the first time
I'm so happy this many people were exposed. RIP /r/spacedicks
Why does this exist
r/carsfuckingdragons
Ah, I see. You went to *rccarfucker*, you want to go to *caranddriver.com*.
Instructions still unclear, I keep finding women without money on FakeTaxi
Makes sense! It’s easy to end up on Pornhub by mistake, you want to search for Cashcab reruns on YouTube.
This post is a gold mine
Insanely cool build. Are you sure it's an Actros? It looks like an Arocs.
Oops! Shit, I mistyped! I’ll fix.
This truck has better specs than my car.
This truck has better specs then my truck (and I drive semi trucks)
[удалено]
If that's ain't the case OP should ask for a promo of the game +all dlc and just make Video with him playing. 100% sure they would give away the game for such a video
that Carbon keycap set got me jelly
I'm pretty thrilled with them too. Did anybody else notice they were in an episode of Loki?
The TVA had amazing keyboards. I noticed.
instead of cooling fans do you just drive it around the room really fast to get airflow?
And how about the specs of the truck? Servo, rx, esc etc? Tamiya is always fun to build.
Nothing special. Spektrum servos, Tamiya MFU, 55t brushed motor.
How are you powering the PC
r/Truckers would absolutely love this. Lot of those guys have rigs in their rigs but not like this.
With this you could have a rig in a rig, IN A RIG!
Exhibit has entered the chat.

I'm talking about a different guy. Well educated fellow who raps about his favorite museum displays. "Brothers who be Wright 'bout flight" is an absolute BANGER!
Nice save!
Great save lol
Yo, I heard you like rigs so we put a rig in your rig so you can rig while you rig.
Nice photos too! Now you need to install the Driver(s), and its good to go.
Great wordplay; I was supposed to type this exact thing
Know the feels, happens often too me also. Cheers!
#this guy FUCKS
JARED
Definitely receives DMs at alarming rate
That is awesome. The paint job is very well done. Looks like it was just picked up from the dock.
now go play ETS2 for those who are wondering, ETS2 is euro truck simulator 2
Way ahead of you.
now go contact a mod developer to make the exact same truck in ets 2 and a trailer with a pc
And that truck's payload? A few pallets of this RCPC build.
Eugene or Ruda.
I knew it
Also, become a professional semi driver and put the PC in the cabin, the meta level will be off the charts
Are you playing Eurotruck Simulator?
Obvs!
This is a masterpiece. Combines two of the best things in life. I don't have an award for your talent but you deserve all the praise for this masterpiece.
That's dope. Love the EVGA vent on the front and the paint work on the trailer!
I’m gonna save this post. I’ll be back in 24 hours with my free award Edit: free award finally delivered to OP. Mission complete
I got you covered with my free award.
This is simply amazing! And I’m diggin those Carbon caps too, might have to get a new set to match the trailer.
Stellar job friend.
dude im ngl this looks sicker then ltts table
I agree and as soon as linus put that keyboard mat down pretty much defeated the purpose of his whole build...Hey what do I know best I can do is upgrade an 11-year-old computer
I love it. My chief complaint about custom PC building is the lack of extraordinary cases or less creative case solutions. This beats all.
Now thats a mobile personal computer!
So... An actual rig, you say?
He’s “Hauling ass” 🤝
Can you drive it ?
Yep. Fully functional. I'll have a video to wrap up the series here in a couple days. https://youtu.be/8jGY9f8AzVg
Can it drive itself?
That's so awesome imagine driving your computer around That's crazy. Oh i need to move my pc in the other room, no problem easy. Lol Amazing project, i love it. Meantime i struggle to create my own mini itx pc with display inside the case so i wont need any monitors
So you're making a mini ITX tablet then?
Yes. The power of a pc in a device smaller than a laptop cheaper than a laptop. At least that's what i wanted
This sub has shown me that the people at LTT really aren’t that good at making cool PC builds. Great work!
LTT got nothing on you…
It's shit like this that keeps me coming back to Reddit despite everything else. This is fucking cool.
Dude bravo. That looks so fucking cool. Can you drive it too? Lol
That looks amazing! That's one cool container!
Really cool, love these super unique builds
Talent
This is amazing bro. One of the coolest builds that I’ve seen in a while!
That Tamiya logo is a good addition!
That was my favorite part.
I've seen some incredible things this week. Emma and Medvedev winning grand slam, Ricciardo winning Monza on merit. This work of yours is up there. Well done.
This is a combo of my two hobbies and I love it Scale modelling and PCs.
This is pretty sick computers/container man. The one that caught my eye is the glowcube OLED screen. How did you get it to show all the computer stats? Are you using some Arduino with some sensors? Or a raspberry pi? Would love to know!
It's an Arduino plug and play unit. Pretty neat!
This is just next level dude. Linus would go crazy for this
this guy's toy car is better than my pc
this is very good
That's the real portable computer
If you ever want to go for a fuel truck design, just put a gp750gm in it
Really nicely done🤩
Damn this is awesome !
Impressive, and unique. /me slowclaps
Talk about portability! This is awesome
Amazing
HA take that gaming laptops
I love everything about this. You should honestly sell your labor. Id like mine in an old Russian Gaz truck please.
For a second I was expecting a rig for a truckie to use in his cab until I read the title again.
idk why i never thought rc semi trucks would be a thing but now i really fucking want one
Silly Question, is it still drivable?
Not silly at all. Completely functional. I have a couple video clips of it running that I’ll upload to my YT channel.
Link to YouTube? Do you have the build documented there too? Amazing work.
I gave a silver medal. You deserve it mate woooo
Please tell me it's still drivable.
But...does it run tho? That be awesome.
Love RC and this particular work deserves a major recognition. Thank you for sharing!
Humans are spectacular. Why would you do this? No. WHY NOT! we didn’t put man on the moon without people like you. Stand tall sir.
Dedication of craftsmanship. Well done bro
This is totally ridiculous and unnecessary. Approved. 👍🏻
The license plate is great, lmao
coolest pc build i think ive ever seen, might inspire me to do one myself once i get enough money. Thanks for posting!
That is so cool! Nicely done. Now you got me wanting to build one with a P51D. Someday. Retirement project.
Phenomenal work, Where is the display and how is it hooked up to the GPU?
On the back of the cab. HDMI and USB.
Make sure you post this to r/trucksim
The euro truck simulator edition. That is tight.
This is, hands down, the coolest case I've ever seen. Well done!
License plate “2077LOL” Cyberpunk reference ha. You preordered?
These projects are all pretty cool. I can’t wait til they get so outlandish that we get “built a pc inside a dragon dildo”.
Finally, something creative and original on this sub
Awesome! OP, post this on r/sffpc as well. And on r/rccars maybe?
That container is just.. * chef's kiss * Those little parts that have been welded on and therefore have a different color are a nice touch. Actually looks like a real container
Holy shit this is the coolest and most creative, out-of-left-field build I've ever seen!
Okay wtf that's so cool. I can't even....wtf. love it
When I saw the first photo I thought it was an actual truck! Great detailing - really sells it
That’s gotta be one of the coolest builds I’ve ever seen.
Nice! Add a fountain pen and wet razor and you have my main subs covered!
Wow there sport my penis can only get so erect.
Nice gaming *rig*
So i have recently gotten into RC building…..you just made me want to get in to RC computer building now…My wallet thanks you
Now to program it to self drive and to build the PC battery back up. Really cool man
The tag on the truck is *cheff kiss*. Perfect job all around.
This is the alpha and the omega. Combining pc building with model building and RC. Holy mackerel. I love Tamiya.
Just don't try to run any AI algorithms on it. The last thing you would want for it to become sentiment and then start robbing the toy store for recruitment purposes.
That's fucking RAD my guy. I'd totally take that to a friend's for a LAN party but set it down in their driveway and RC it in. Because it's awesome and I could 🤣
[удалено]
Tamiya, a man of class I see. Great build!
A faulty driver would be disastrous, right?
I'm absolutely blown away with how good that truck/lorry looks.
Now THIS is ~~podracing~~ mobile gaming!
I see that custom keyboard. r/mechanicalkeyboards represent! It has the keycaps featured in Loki to boot.
*LTT wants to know your location*
I'm not a computer guy and I'm sure as hell not a truck guy, but this is fucking awesome. Fantastic job op, you could actually make money making computer cases like this. One question though, does it have a driver?
The display screens send this into ultra awesome territory. Super sweet build. Kudos.
You’re giving me a semi just looking at it
First image: that's just a normal sized truck Second image: my bad it's just a small toy truck. Third image: that's a huge toy truck.
Dude, I freaking love that! What was the process like to do all the details on the trailer paint? The graffiti is a really nice touch
Not the strongest pc but the most fun pc,people should build more pcs like this
This is one of the coolest things I've ever seen! Inspiration levels are getting dangerously high.
Nice cyberpunk 2077 easter egg there
PC Master Truck.
That is insane! Very cool
throw in a few illegal immigrants and you're done
Does the truck still work though?
Of course. Pretty pointless if it didn't.
yeah i know this is a pc sub, but tell me more about the truck!
This build is so wonderful that i'm gonna start crying
True mobile gaming
Yo! I heard you like trucks, so I put a system bus in your truck, so you can bus when you nuck if you buck.
r/sleeperbattlestations would love this
now play Euro Truck Simulator 2 with it
