Seriously? When will these games stop getting mixed up.

At least we got that dlc
Wait it's released??
No, but there should be a trailer on the 29th of July
How do you know the date?
Edit: Nvm just found the announcement. Can't wait
Lost my mind when a friend told me Outer Wilds 2 was coming.
Now I feel I lost something I never had in the first place...
I mean, there is the dlc
I didnt hear any more about that DLC. Do you know what it is or when it's coming out?
We will learn more about it hopefully next month July 29th during the Annapurna Interactive Showcase. if you want to see the _tiniest_ peek of what to expect you can go to [this tweet from Annapurna Interactive’s twitter](https://twitter.com/a_i/status/1403096364616019968)
Fuck I'm so hyped now
Finally, I can experience the game for the first time again.
I have previously stated i would do anything to have that feeling, so I too am so excited for the DLC
I'm so fucking hyped now
Oh no, I misread it and thought it was June 29th 💀
My turn for that feeling lmao
There's the *what*
It was a dlc leaked called echoes of the eye, we should learn more from an event in july
Here buddy check this out https://twitter.com/Testinhaa\_/status/1403098441354465286
That URL doesn't work, the underscore shouldn't be escaped.
Weird I clicked it on my cellphone just now and it worked
What app are you using? If it's working for yours -- given it isn't working in other apps and (more relevantly) on the website itself -- this would indicate that the app you use has a bug in how it's handling URLs.
I'm using the regular Reddit and Twitter apps
Damn, I guess the Reddit app is bugged, then?
Yeah my friend did that
I saw that yesterday and despite having the logo in front of me I still got it wrong at first
As annoying as this is, doesn't it work at least a bit to our advantage? The Outer Worlds is a much more mainstream game than Outer Wilds, and as long as this mixup keeps happening, there will always be some lucky The Outer Worlds fan that will discover Outer Wilds because of it. I bet there are already a few in this subreddit.
This is how I found Outer Wilds by simply searching the wrong game, best mistake ever
I avoided outer wilds since it's been out until about a month ago because I thought it was outer worlds which I wasnt interested in. I only noticed by a sale that it was actually a totally different game and got it.
The narrator could have poked fun at the name confusion too and I'd have LOVED it.
The Outer Worlds 2: Eye of the Storm
I heard about outer wilds drinking with buddies and only looked it up a year later. Got super confused cause I sorta remembered it was ‘outer’ something and found this. Didnt match the description i remembered…
If it weren't for the mix up, I wouldn't have ever heard of Outer Wilds. I'm thankful for it and there's no way I'm the only one.
I can respect this but the mixup is the reason I avoided outer wilds in the first place. I didnt know it was a separate game until I saw it on sale.
You guys are the two sides of a hockey puck, those who realised they are 2 separate games and bought it are the curved surface. That's the issue at play.
I love that commonly it's 2 sides of the same coin but just because you've gone with hockey puck. Brilliant
I was gonna go with coin but then thought that the probability of it landing and staying sideways is way too low, lol.
Only when the rest of the world realizes the outer wilds is the superior game
At least the Outer Worlds is a good game. I'm just sick of it overshadowing a masterpiece
Were people clamoring for a sequel to The Outer Worlds?
i actually enjoyed Outer Worlds when it launched, it was short, of course, and there were some forgettable quests even in the main questline, but i think the franchise has some potential to become something big
Now that they have the engine and core mechanics down in a successful game they can focus on content for a sequel, and make a better game.
But while Outer Worlds had some good parts with one companion's quest line it was otherwise forgettable and I expect the same in a sequel, while Outer Wilds is one of those rare games I will remember for decades.
So here I am. I really like The Outer Worlds. It’s cool RPG since Fallout New Vegas. And it deserve its sequel.
exactly! Everyone here seems to be outer worlds haters, i enjoyed the game a lot and it’s one of my favorite RPGs in recent years and it had great writing and characters
I liked the game... sort of. It's a 2010 game though... Plays like a 2010 game, looks like a 2010 game. Hard to get excited about that in 2021.
When you say it is a 2010 game, what do you mean by that?
Probably that it plays like a 2010 game, and looks like a 2010 game.
Gotcha! So it is just like New Vegas, a 2010 game.
I was so dissapointed by that game, it just felt empty. The quests weren't very interesting, I mostly just went about shooting stuff and wondering where to go to shoot more stuff. I never really felt any sense of progression, and nothing really made me want to play more.
Me too. Every skill gave dialogue options, but they all came to the same conclusion. You get overpowered pretty quickly. One area literally has rails to follow.
I played New Vegas in its prime. This, sir, is no New Vegas.
Watched a few gameplay vids and came to the se conclusion. Seemed kinda boring.
Honestly yeah, I didn’t like it as much as Outer Wilds, but it was a solid #2 for me the year it came out
It was fine, perfect for a game pass game.
Hoping for something more solid though, not many of those types of games coming out.
A N G E R
Maybe it's a crossover?
That would be funny as hell.
If I remember correctly in an interview somewhere Alex Beachum mentions ideas for an april fools' crossover where the two games would switch names lmao
Yeah, I mean they are VERY simular. Very easy for someone to make that mistake. I even thought that they said Outer Wilds 2.
When ever someone mentions the game outer worlds, for a split second I think they are talking about my favourite game. Then the disappointment sets in that I still have yet to meet someone irl that has played outer wilds.
Honestly I still think they could have named the game better. The outer wilds doesn't really suit the game.
Good thing they didnt call it "the outer wilds" then huh?
Honestly the name The outer wilds doest really suit the game.
No argument here, but what would you suggest?
good thing that's not actually its name
The outer worlds wasn't even a great success, they should have let it be.
I'm not even angry at this point, it's just getting a bit funny
But outer wilds 2 tho, where it at
Had a little heart attack for a moment
I’m at my limit
My friend said to me "oh hey, the outer wilds 2 trailer came out" and I was very excited for maybe 5 minutes.
