[Miller] WBAL News reports Lamar Jackson is not vaccinated. Now positive for Covid a 2nd time
By - Bouzal
"Competitive advantage" - Baker Mayfield.
It's like immediately after he said it players started getting popped.
I thought it said “pooped.”
No that’s what Lamar did during the game
\*excited Odell noises\*
Well mini camps started so now they are all clustered up together.
All I know I've had a 5g cellular data advantage since vaccination.
Being able to order shit off Amazon with my mind has been a game changer
Weird, all I can do is communicate with Bill Gates via 5G telepathy
I mated with my Dreamcast and now there's gray goo everywhere.
Hey you can buy that post market wifi module for the Dreamcast, anything is possible
Still waiting on my magnet powers. I will feel ripped off if I get Cyclops eyebeams or something.
Nah, take the eyebeams. My fridge following me across the street is a bit irritating.
I took the Johnson & Johnson shot and ended up as Charles Xavier.
Sorry about the wheelchair, my guy.
And the male pattern baldness.
Ever since I got vaccinated, I have not been attacked by a tiger. Not even once.
Damn mine must be broken. My signal sucks on this S21 Ultra.
I never have to look for my car keys anymore since being vaccinated, I just walk around and they’ll stick to me eventually.
This sucks, hopefully a vaccine is available soon.
If only modern science could find a vaccine through global efforts. If only
If only he lived in a country where vaccines were available in a 10 mile radius.
I laughed hard at this
Hopefully they can figure one fast. I highly doubt they've been working on the advancement of vaccines for the last few decades that they can apply to a global health crisis.
I don't wish harm on anyone.
But one of these players is going to need to get hit hard by the virus, lose some lung capacity, miss a season or two, forfeit millions in guaranteed cash, or something serious before others get a clue.
This literally happened to Cam, obviously the vaccine wasn’t available yet but he got destroyed by the virus and he may never be back
You guys aren't thoughting and praying hard enough.
No can do. If we had a vaccine for stupid, we'd have solved the pandemic a long time ago.
Apparently he's better at catching than throwing.
But seriously folks, get vaccinated.
I got my first poke today 💉
Thank you Charles Barkley for convincing me not to be an asshole
Shit, he is a role model after all!
I got my first jab 2 days ago . Walked into cvs and walked out 2 min later i was amazed how fast that was. I didn’t even feel it the only thing I felt was the soreness holy shit I couldn’t move my arm the next day
Hope that's all that happens with the 2nd shot. That one can be a doozy
Yea I just got my 2nd poke yesterday and I've felt like a pile of ass for the last 24 hours. Worth it though.
That happened to me with my first astrazenneca, made me feel less bad about the usual lying around all saturday smoking weed and jerking off which was nice
My arm is so sore I cant even give myself a good tug unfortunately. I shoulda got it in my non dominant arm
Honestly. Thank you.
There’s a lot of misinformation and strongly held beliefs out there. But seriously, thank you for coming around and getting it done.
Drink some water, get some sleep, and count down the days before you can watch Herbert sling it with the rest of us.
I went straight to the strip club homie
I like you u/tvvt
What changed your mind?
Sir Charles Barkley is a master debater.
Chuck’s words were the nail, I told myself I would wait 6 months before getting it to be safe. It’s been about that long now, and after his statement I knew it was time.
What were his words?
“Anybody who is not vaccinated now is just an asshole”
All the other replies are funny and all, but these were his literal words.
I mean anybody who knows of Barkley knows he’s not one to mince words
"Not being vaccinated is turrible, Erneh, just turrible."
“Get the vaccine, ya knuckleheads”
Cheers bud. Good for you.
Better late than never.
Lamar trying for that natural immunity
Can’t choke in the playoffs if you cough up the season early.
Gotta catch 'em all!
Delta, Alpha, Beta, Gamma...
Thanks for the laugh, much needed 🤙
Playoff wins - 1, positive tests - 2.
lmaooooo holy shit
Yeah I really like Lamar but I just couldn't resist lol
If it's any consolation, Cardinals fans poking fun are doing so knowing any day we'll go through the same with Hop
Myles Garrett, on the other hand, specifically got vaccinated because he had it last year and doesn't want it again. Be more like Myles.
Covid kicked his ass too. Dude was short breathed after being on an absolute tear.
4 games straight with a strip sack. Post covid he said he had about a quarter of good football in him. It sucked see him so out of breath on the sidelines.
I got covid last summer. Not hospitalized but hit 103 degree fever. Kicked my ass for a week. I played high level competitive hockey, and even now a year later I'm gassed half way through an adult league game. A teammate runs marathons, covid hospitalized him, he could barely run a mile for months after he recovered.
It's scary stuff what it can do to you.
Guy was short off breath after the first play of the first game when he came back.
Mason Rudolph in shambles
AFC North foes, I remember y'all saying "dammit Lamar, don't make me like you"
Well, it's your lucky day
Signed... disappointed Ravens fan
> I remember y'all saying "dammit Lamar, don't make me like you"
You're so right! I'm one of those people! I've hated the Ravens since day one of the franchise, but I've been finding it hard to not root for Lamar since he seems like such a great guy and role model for kids just getting into the sport to look up to.
Lamar cmon man 😔
Can I use this as an excuse to make a runningback joke?
"He caught covid last year already, but since he didn't get vaccinated it came running back to him"
Lamar is running back to quarantine
Wow that’s stupid
[His instagram post](https://i.redd.it/7r7x6x2spyd71.jpg) 😂
Bruh it is because you didn't get vaccinated! That's how tf
What a god damn idiot
Trying to become friends with Cole Beasley ain’t worth all that.
I gotta leave this thread before I get Hella depressed
Honestly I'm just depressed for you. I hate your guts, but dude is hella good, and got the vid twice now? How can you be so smart yet so stupid? Is he just trying for the covid hatrick? Gonna be on a respirator his 3rd time around going "fuck ya'll I told ya'll I'm the best, fuck wit me covid!" and then get a 4th round that kills the lung cells he has left?
>How can you be so smart
This is based on?
Clearly playing football well = intelligent. Nvm he had like the lowest wonderlic ofhis class(which I know isn't the end all be all)
Damn of his class? Like of all QBs or of the entire draft class?
Define "smart" for me man, cause I'm not seeing it. Just because he's a good player doesn't mean he's smart.
He already got COVID and it’s side effects and still didn’t get the vaccine? Yikes.
My cousin literally was hospitalized for it last year and *still* won’t get it
My aunt died and her sister, who was in the hospital with pneumonia and is morbidly obese, decided to have a family Thanksgiving the week after.
Spoiler alert: my aunt's sister is my mom.
My uncle got out of the hospital and decided to host Easter the week after -_-
That's the greatest part of it, seems like most people refusing medical treatment are just killing themselves anyways from life choices. I guess the idea is "fuck ya'll I'ma do me and fuck yo medicine, I live how I want"... dead at 35 from a quadruple heart attack with a side of COPD.
Unrelated but how is everyone not morbidly obese in Wisconsin though. I went there for 3 days and gained ten pounds. It’s like everything is double burger with three types of cheese and bacon. Oh and the appetizers are cheese curds that are breaded, deep fried, and served with ranch and blue cheese. It’s amazing but I would die of a heart attack at 35 there.
Lots of us are, but at least you understand why.
My neighbor had it and nearly died he was in a coma ventilator and all that shit for weeks but still compares mask wearing and vaccines to concentration camps in the Holocaust
Natural immunity amirite
Natural selection amirite*
“I have herd immunity already”
I’ve heard this a million times
Imagine thinking something literally called "herd" immunity applies to an individual.
Some people's thinking is:
* "I don't need a mask, I'll never catch Covid"
* After catching Covid: "I survived so there's no way I could ever catch Covid again. I now have natural immunity so why should I ever wear a mask again?"
Honestly if true then he’s a fucking moron.
He got Covid and had real effects from it and then was like nah I’m good on a vaccine that not only may help reduce the long term effects he had but help prevent others from suffering like he did.
He also just had a massive camp with kids too…
I found Mark Normand on Reddit omg
I'm not hateful, I'm hard!
I’m Kevin Hart! Good night!
You got that right
It’s frustrating because people shouldn’t expect Lamar to be a role model but then he’s out there throwing around with kids, too. Doesn’t excuse him from being a moron. Maybe Marlon will shame him and Gus into getting it.
He could have been a role model to help get others vaxxed and save lives, instead this dumbass just put his teammates, our chance at a Superbowl at risk, and a bunch of unvaxxed kids at risk.
Speaking as someone that can’t taste or smell very well anymore because of Covid, I can’t fathom why someone would want to risk dealing with this. Something as simple as food has become less enjoyable because of Covid. Just get the damn shot.
Yeah my smell is still fucked as well. Going on 6 months now.
How long has it been?
7 months unfortunately. Just started getting a hint of coffee when I drink it so I guess you can say it’s getting better lol.
Hope you recover quickly and fully man
Saw someone on Twitter who claimed that their COVID-related inability to taste or smell was solved by a small LSD dose.
So. If things get really desperate.
Especially he needs every edge possible to stay at peak performance as a world class athlete. Or risk reduced lung capacity for conspiracy theories.
Especially for a QB that relies so much on his athleticism.
This the dude who filmed himself going 100 MPH for Instagram live right? Yeah, he already was a fucking moron.
Wait, this is the first time I’ve heard the vaccine can reduce the long term effects if you’ve already had it. Is that true? If so that’s huge. I had it in November and still have some lingering issues, was vaccinated in April/May though.
EDIT: I can see now that this could be misconstrued as anti-vax. That’s not how I meant it. I’m just excited at the thought of losing some of the lingering issues. I have noticed the brain-fog is gone, as well as my breathing problems. The change in smells is still there though.
*Insert Spider-Man pointing meme.
Got covid in Nov, got my vaccine in April. We’re you sick after both shots or just one?
I ask because I was sick after both shots, which lead me to believe I still had antibodies from being sick.
Same. Sick with both shots in April. Tested positive in early November.
It’s *atleast* five months of natural antibodies, honestly it gives me hope that the antibodies are lasting longer than expected, in addition to the vaccine. I’m glad I got it tbh.
Fucking 10/10 would get the vaccine with 12-14 hour symptoms again, instead of that dreadful 10 full days of full blown symptoms!
Absolutely. I'll get a booster when that's recommended too. I'll just get it when I'm off work the next day and plan accordingly.
Haha yeah, that's the key! I felt like a sack of dogshit the day after the second shot. Fortunately I didn't have to work the next day. I was the first person to get it at my work so I told the boss "when everyone else gets their shots, be ready for them to call in sick the day after."
I had covid June 2020, Pfizer vaccine April 2021 and I had the same covid symptoms I had in June (I had encephalitis and had terrible vertigo and brain fog and really loud tinnitus and headaches) for 5 hours after the first shot, then it went away, and then the second shot did nothing to me.
Both Moderna shots fucked me up. Would still rather deal with that than Covid again.
Man, it really does affect people differently. I had Moderna also. First shot, very slightly sore arm for about 48 hours. Only really noticed any soreness if I lifted my arm above my head. Second shot, nothing. No soreness, no effects at all.
I had covid June 2020 and had long hauler symptoms for almost a year, and the vaccine took away the brain fog and headaches.
that's actually great fucking news. cheers.
There are some early studies that suggest if you have previously had Covid getting vaccinated can help you recover from the long term effects
Here’s an article on it https://www.yalemedicine.org/news/vaccines-long-covid
Not to deemphasize the vaccine but I'm not sure this study has been done yet. Asking somebody if they feel better after a vaccine NEEDS a placebo group for any sort of meaningful conclusion. Just asking a few people and 30% saying yes doesn't mean much.
There are no studies that suggest that getting vaccinated can help you recover from long term effects. That link is to a researcher who is recruiting long term sufferers FOR a study.
Currently the only indication that the vaccine helps long term effects is from unofficial reports from patients with no actual data to back it up.
Imagine if this happened during the season and resulted in an outbreak. He just came perilously close risking his team games and game checks.
I like Jackson, he comes across as a good person, but this is just foolish. He's putting himself at risk. He's trying to get a big contract, you think the team isn't looking at this and thinking of it as a way to save dollars?
>Imagine if this happened during the season and resulted in an outbreak. He just came perilously close risking his team games and game checks.
I mean not for nothing but he could recover from this and then get it again, a third time.
A COVID hat trick
Where can I put money on this? I feel like this is easy money, also karma has to tag Cole Beasley. Can I put together a Covid parlay on them?
He could also have it develop into a more serious case and not even be available to play ay the beginning of the season.
I would just laugh
Shit, I'm laughing now. He ain't on *my* team
Tfw this is all a training method to be less reliant on the run and work on the passing game
He's trying to be the Tom Brady of covid.
I mean imagine if he has lingering symptoms or long Covid which have an effect on his play this year. Think the Ravens are still shelling out 45 mil a year?
He's trying to get 40+ mill per and was holding camps for kids as well. Come on man.
Fuck man I just want a normal year
2022 start is only 409 days away!
Took me way too long to realize you meant the 2022 NFL season
Lamar should talk to Justin Herbert. If nobody else, the bio major can probably help him understand why to get vaxxed.
Unless it’s from a YouTube account with less than 100 subscribers
*That’s* where you find real truth
Are you doubting the thorough research of Cole Beasley, MD?
Does MD stand Major Dumbass?
Honestly when I wrote that I was hoping some would respond with him
"Science? Why are we listening to science? When did we stop listening to the word of GAWD!?"
Tik Tok seems to be the method of information for anyone in my family that wants to show me proof hoaxes and conspiracies.
I can draw out some generalities about Lamar's decision making skills from him publicly getting COVID twice and not considering vaccination. That wonderlic score didn't shit the bed all by itself.
Hopefully he stays away from Herbert. Dude caught that shit twice! He’s a bad omen to be around at this point.
Fans of teams who's QBs aren't getting the vaccine, represent! Therapy session included.
I just know the Vikings will make the playoffs only to lose when Kirk has to miss the game thanks to a positive covid test
He’s vaxxed I think. Had no mask at his presser today
Really? That would shock me if true (the being vaxxed part).
Wait is Wentz on the anti vax list?
it's like the 3rd most popular thread on the sub currently.
That’s what I get for sorting by new
Big Truzz….unless it’s science based that is.
All those ravens fans at the time said "Nah he's just playing politics, he's totally vaxxed. He's not that dumb"
Egg meet face
Oh god, that's what we said about Dak.
To be fair, Dak made some previous comments along of the lines of “people should consider the benefit of getting it for themselves and the people around them” so I think it’s safe to say that he got it. Not sure why he spouted the HIPAA crap though.
I mean the dude is from Florida, I'm not sure what people expected. lmao
Wish somebody would show him his own post and be like "How's that working out for you?"
The crazy part is we talk about how much these guys sacrifice their bodys all the time. So much potential for permanent bodily harm, not to mention possible head trauma. Then it’s like the vaccine might hurt me.
Competitive advantage is a great way to put it.
His Madden "awareness" rating better be pretty low in the new game.
Ok. So he’s a moron.
If i was Harbaugh I’d drive his ass to get vaccinated after he’s able to see him again.
If you watch the video Harbaugh says it’s just like if someone got an injury… ignoring the fact that there’s no injury vaccine lol
No new contract till he's vaccinated
No starts til he's vaccinated
I'm not letting him into the facilities until he's vaccinated.
Does he actually care? Their strength coach who ignored COVID protocols still has his job.
not smart for a running back
I can't root for people like this.
I can’t imagine making the decision to not get vaccinated knowing not only the updated league guidance, but that it’s a contract year for him. What if he was the cause of an outbreak during the season and it negatively impacted the team, other players’ health and money? Would that subtly impact the FO approach on his extension?
He's just banking on the fact that he's going to have another amazing year and he's too good to be cut loose
Furthermore, every single free agent or draft player will look a lot more/less appealing based on their vax status. Stupidity is too big of a liability.
What a fuckin idiot
This would have never happened if scientists had bothered to create a vaccine
