My theory is MJ is selling the Hornets so he can buy the Commanders.
Pro: his biggest scandal so far is being drunk as shit walking with a tequila bottle. Also he wears a lot of baggy pants, but I think those are making a comeback or something idk.
Con: he’ll fill the org with his friends, never win anything, and there’s a chance he’ll get caught betting on games
Unknowns: does he make his kids friends dads call him Mr Jordan?
Overall I think it’s still a pretty big upgrade
Yea, he’s not in that stratosphere… but let’s just say he takes the money from the sale of the Hornets and doubles that, and then maybe he doubles it again. What if his friend has a system that can predict the winner of any college basketball game with a 90% accuracy rate? Maybe he’s done all of his homework and he should take out that second mortgage to help pad his retirement account.
Do you have any tips or ideas about sure things? Like a boxer who is gonna throw the big fight, you know, like he's tied in to some crooked dealings and maybe his kid is sick or something. Like, who do I call about that?
Yeah we worked hard for those comp picks well start signing a few guys around or after the draft when it doesn't factor into that formula for comp picks
A 3rd is the max for comp picks and Taylor signed a top of market deal so probably that. They'll probably get like a 5th or 6th and a 7th for Key and Manhertz too.
I don't think you've lost anything you can't replace with developing your guys or drafting well this year. You have some talent on the roster, it just needs to develop. Travon needs to look like he deserved to be drafted ahead of Hutchinson and Thibodeaux. Devin Lloyd and Muma too should show jumps - it's tough as a rookie LB, but they have physical skills. Just not the best pass coverage. Maybe you can draft a good slot corner.
Offensively, adding Ridley is huge. I'd draft a project tight end, but not before drafting a tackle. Jawaan did well against some big opponents (Booooossssaaa!!), but not worth the cost for what Baalke and Pederson are trying to build. I think it's a good approach to team construction. It's also banking on 2nd half Jags and not October Jags.
Yannick Ngakoue. Need someone on the edge who can rush the passer and he’s by far the best one left. Also not too old, but still should be a good veteran presence
I’m not a big fan of the OTs left. Would rather we draft the top OT on our board now and get someone in Ngakoue who is significantly better than any of the OTs
Texans:
**Denzel Perryman**, we need an upgrade at ILB specifically one that plays the run well. Perryman fits that to a T and would be a great mentor for Christian Harris.
Since that is already semi in the works my completely random addition would be **Bud Dupree** we need edge help desperately and I could see us giving him one of our patented 1 year contracts.
I agree a vet Center would be nice but the bonafide starting Centers have all been signed at this point.
We missed out on Pocic/Bradbury/Brendel those were the real options for us and since they all re-signed with their teams I think Nick shifted to the idea of drafting a center (Hopefully Schmitz or Wypler but I wouldn’t be too upset at Tippmann).
When we re-signed Quesseberry (to back up I’d presume) I think it was to be “veteran” center on our roster
I feel like it’s hard for Bud Dupree and Leonard Floyd to be on the market at the same time. I feel like you would just offer a contract to one and if he says no just immediately call the other.
If he wanted to see what the market had for him, thats his prerogative.
Fact is he would still be a major piece for our offense, and while i love what Jamo has shown us so far, he isn't really the X receiver that Chark is nor is he proven, he's just a dude with a lot of potential right now. Of course we still excited about that.
The only PROVEN receiver we have is ARSB and then some good depth with Kalif Raymond, Josh Reynolds and maybe Quintez Cephus if we can avoid having him get injured.
If you wanted to have a good receiver, just don't trade your own away. ;P
Jamaal Williams correct? They'll sure need him when that Kamara suspension comes down. Likely 6-8 games but once those 2 are on the field together they are going to have a deadly 1-2 punch
Any other FAs you want the Bucs to sign that are still available?
I'd go with Sean Murphy-Bunting to get more experience in a generally inexperienced CB room. DL is packed with vets and desperately needs an injection of young talent, imo.
Yep, I expect him to go as early as #22, but if he falls past that I'm giving up our 3rd to move back up into the 1st round and taking Flowers in the mid-late 20s
I was sure when they said Slay was being released it meant CJ was a lock. Then Bradberry signed, then Slay wasn't released after all. Now it's maximum butt-clench because there have been quite a few safeties taken off the table and CJ is one of the only premier guys left out there. If Howie manages to keep all 3 he really is the wizard we claim he is.
Howie really seems to have this shit figured out post chip era. I’m pretty confident in whatever he does. I thought at least 2/3 were gone for sure and the fact that he already has 2 locked up is a big win already
I mean I’d still love to see Bobby Wagner play for us. Even with LVE re-signing.
If we’re going for one signing for a need then it’s Semulao for LG
Oddly enough, I’d sign Cameron Brate. Cheap and provides a vet in the TE room.
For Green Bay they need some pass catchers, Marvin Jones could be a cheap veteran option to put in the slot, maybe he can help develop the young guys like Watson and Doubs. Foster Moreau would be dope to have at TE but I wouldn’t mind settling for Anthony Firkser if they draft someone good
I wouldn’t mind Zeke if it was a reasonable contract. We need a power RB to compliment cook and someone who can power it over the goal line so we don’t kill josh by QB sneaking it everytime
I'm a big Motor stan. He's always welcome in my book. Not sure the cap space required for a 3rd RB, though. I think the big goal line back role is overvalued if you have Josh Allen and/or a creative OC.
My pick would probably be Chark, though. Takes a big need off the board for me and shouldn't break the bank.
He definitely does. It’s why we cut him. He thinks he’s still the player he was when he was playing with Diggs. The 1 and 1A type. He’s not. If he was then our GM probably doesn’t make the trade for TJ Hockenson. The reason he made that move is because there needed to be someone to take even a modicum of pressure off of Justin Jefferson. Plus Irv Smith is a bum.
I would go d hop with my pick. Should give us a good situation to see what we have for our QB situation and maybe make us a playoff team if our offense improves. More of a situation just to see what we got over a win now type thing but could play out on both I guess.
Lamar is probably never happening and even if it did I'd be pissed when he gets injured in year one. So either OBJ or Shaquille Griffin now that we lost Gilly. Not much left worth much and Ballard doesn't pay.
Edit:. How do I get one of those team tags on my name?
Thats what we said last year.
Sure, for the right price he isn't bad, but if he wants anywhere near what he would have gotten from us this season (pre-cut) then i'd say stay away.
I'd want the Phins to bring in one more lineman. Preferably someone who can move around a bit to cover for Armstead. He's guaranteed to miss games. Maybe a Billy Turner? I think Dalton Risner is the best remaining o-lineman so wouldn't be mad at him.
Chark has the potential of a legit WR1 too. And would be better long term than DHop. Don’t know why you got downvoted, that’s a great reviving group tbh.
CJ or a top interior pass rusher. I know the Broncos are a joke to most, deservedly, but I'm optimistic this team can be a force next season with the right, healthy talent.
Mecole Hardman or DJ Chark.
Our WR room is still extremely barren outside of Burks, and both guys give us the speed/versatility we need at receiver.
I would lean Hardman since Ran has seemed to really value youth and athleticism with some moves thus far but either would be a fantastic addition to the team.
I hope the panthers don’t get anyone else.. i think you all have a chance to be solid with the moves y’all have made and if you get a hold of some WRs.. the pick you all gave my bears won’t be able to get MHJ😭
If Rodgers wouldn’t count then would like to go with Odell, talent is talent. I don’t take injuries into account because any player can get injured at anytime. If they can pair him with Garrett Wilson I think their offense becomes just as electrifying as their defense. I think it would be the most excited I’ve been to see a Jets team in a while. My ideal starting group would be Wilson, Odell and Elijah Moore slot. Lazard is good in the redzone but I feel he doesn’t seperate as well. I also think if we get Odell it wouldn’t matter much when him Wilson and Breece are on the field together if they decided to play him over Moore
yannick ngakoue to throw into a rotaion of 40% ngakoue, 30% turner and 30% granderson for the second edge spot to start. best after 5 weeks can take 75%
The obvious choice is John Johnson III, since he's familiar with Staley's scheme and we need another Safety opposite Derwin.
But for a less obvious choice, Isaiah McKenzie. We have the kicking and punting game solidified and McKenzie could help in the return game, and also add a speed element at WR for Herbert.
I’m a cowboys fan and I’d say OBJ. We have a need at WR and even if he’s not what he used to be it’s another name for defenses to look at and hopefully take some pressure off Lamb. Lil nervous about his knee tho after seeing Gallup’s performance this pst season coming off an ACL injury
I would like to sign a new owner
My theory is MJ is selling the Hornets so he can buy the Commanders. Pro: his biggest scandal so far is being drunk as shit walking with a tequila bottle. Also he wears a lot of baggy pants, but I think those are making a comeback or something idk. Con: he’ll fill the org with his friends, never win anything, and there’s a chance he’ll get caught betting on games Unknowns: does he make his kids friends dads call him Mr Jordan? Overall I think it’s still a pretty big upgrade
MJ is the poorest owner in the NBA, no way in hell could he afford an NFL team, lol.
Lol just mj walking into the mgm grand and putting the entire sale of the hornets in black twice
Do you have any tips or ideas about sure things? Like a boxer who is gonna throw the big fight, you know, like he's tied in to some crooked dealings and maybe his kid is sick or something. Like, who do I call about that?
I'm still sad we won't see the Washington Prime.
Il allow it!
Unfortunately my team has actually set a hard limit of 0
Jags will not be denied their comp picks
Yeah we worked hard for those comp picks well start signing a few guys around or after the draft when it doesn't factor into that formula for comp picks
What are they getting for Taylor?
Probably a 3rd, the max
A 3rd is the max for comp picks and Taylor signed a top of market deal so probably that. They'll probably get like a 5th or 6th and a 7th for Key and Manhertz too.
I still want them to bring the mayor back! Would make the whole off season for me.
Get Campbell his ring
I don't think you've lost anything you can't replace with developing your guys or drafting well this year. You have some talent on the roster, it just needs to develop. Travon needs to look like he deserved to be drafted ahead of Hutchinson and Thibodeaux. Devin Lloyd and Muma too should show jumps - it's tough as a rookie LB, but they have physical skills. It's also banking on 2nd half Jags and not October Jags.
Why do you know our team more than our own fans lol
Lol I was going to say the same thing. This dude Jags.
You're totally right. We've already made our moves at some positions and it'll depend on the development of players and drafting well again.
The jaguars-rams connection is alive and well
They'll pick up a few depth signings for rotational spots. DT, CB / S
Ridley tho
My whole off season would have been made if the Jags had scooped up Jamaal Williams before the saints.
I like Jamaal but etienne is my fav
Taylor Rapp because one of our starting safeties randomly retired on us
JJ3 is likely to be the guy for us
Good luck. Hope he's better for you guys then he was for CLE.
I think him already being familiar with Staley's system will be huge The other guys we've brought over have done great
I believe you guys moved him over to FS, hopefully he goes some where and plays SS
Taylor Rapp is about as good of a safety as Troy Reeder is a LB
Ya watching anyone getting excited over rapp is crazy.
Yannick Ngakoue. Need someone on the edge who can rush the passer and he’s by far the best one left. Also not too old, but still should be a good veteran presence
I feel like we first need oline.
I’m not a big fan of the OTs left. Would rather we draft the top OT on our board now and get someone in Ngakoue who is significantly better than any of the OTs
Yea I was kinda hoping poles could get a scam trade on some team.
any starting CB2.
Marcus Peters is your guy
Local kid (Oakland) but I think he's too dramatic for this FO
Hard pass
How about any starting RT
Slim pickins unfortunately 😬
According to our sub any RT will be an upgrade over MM, so I'm just waiting for them to turn on whoever we end up putting there
Looking like McKivitz. Maybe Burford slides out. But those are pretty much the options barring a draft miracle.
I think y’all drafting Joey porter jr
at the end of the third round?
Texans: **Denzel Perryman**, we need an upgrade at ILB specifically one that plays the run well. Perryman fits that to a T and would be a great mentor for Christian Harris. Since that is already semi in the works my completely random addition would be **Bud Dupree** we need edge help desperately and I could see us giving him one of our patented 1 year contracts.
You should put on a flair so you don’t have to declare your team
Is there a way to do it on mobile? I know how to on browser but I never use Reddit on computer anymore.
Agreed first one My random signing World be a vet Center
I agree a vet Center would be nice but the bonafide starting Centers have all been signed at this point. We missed out on Pocic/Bradbury/Brendel those were the real options for us and since they all re-signed with their teams I think Nick shifted to the idea of drafting a center (Hopefully Schmitz or Wypler but I wouldn’t be too upset at Tippmann). I feel like it’s hard for Bud Dupree and Leonard Floyd to be on the market at the same time. I feel like you would just offer a contract to one and if he says no just immediately call the other.
CJGJ 🤞
Me too hehe
Likewise.
There’s only one way to settle this **unsheathe katana**
MASTER FORGIVE ME... FOR I MUST GO ALL OUT
I too, choose this man’s CJGJ.
We are also interested in his services
I would be genuinely pleased with the offseason to this point of that was the only other notable move we make.
Same, but according to his comments that ship has sailed
You guys are so weirdly defensive about him
I’m not even being defensive. I love him and want him back. Doesn’t sound like he wants to tho
Keep your hands off Chark
Hey you guys had your chance to sign him without any competition plus you have the Sun God and a future beast in Jamo
If you wanted to have a good receiver, just don't trade your own away. ;P
You can have him. I’ll take someone reliable
Mom said it's my turn with chark
no you’ve already taken enough from us
I think this is my pick too, that would give the offense the perfect amount of weapons
He's my desired WR for KC as well
I wouldn’t want that for Jamo’s development
I'd want the weeb but he had to go sign with the Saints
Jamaal Williams correct? They'll sure need him when that Kamara suspension comes down. Likely 6-8 games but once those 2 are on the field together they are going to have a deadly 1-2 punch Any other FAs you want the Bucs to sign that are still available?
Jameel Williams? The Bethune-Cookman QB from 2005? Edit: Dude edited Jameel to Jamaal.
jaleel white? the inimitable stefan urquelle from 1989-1998?
Jaylen Brown? The shooting guard for the Boston Celtics?
Ja Morant? The ‘shooting’ guard for the Grizz?
Jim Carrey? The well known Canadian-American actor-comedian?
John Cena? The guy we can never see but always assume is there?
Foster Moreau for my Bengals. LSU connection, YAC, good pass blocker
Fosters a great locker room guy . His teammates love him and he has a weird funny personality
He would be smart to join the Joe Burrow Academy for Tight Ends Who Want To Get A Big Contract and Want To Do Other Things Good Too
Edmunds. He's gotten better each season. I'd love to keep him and Minkah together.
Agreed.
Another agree. Not sure why he isn’t given a 3-year deal at this point. The man is a solid compliment to Minkah back there.
I would love to see Bobby Wagner come back to Seattle.
Mmmmmm
Fuck Them ~~Picks~~ FA Signings
I’d go with Poona Ford. As much as I’d love to go Chark, we probably need to go defense to replace Dalvin Tomlinson.
Poona has been good to us
Am I the only one who says “Big POONa” in my head every time I hear his name?
Yes
I'd go with Sean Murphy-Bunting to get more experience in a generally inexperienced CB room. DL is packed with vets and desperately needs an injection of young talent, imo.
You don't want SMB.
Sign Chark and try hard to draft Flowers, and suddenly people might calm down on our WR room
You trading up for Flowers? I don’t see him falling to the 2nd
Yep, I expect him to go as early as #22, but if he falls past that I'm giving up our 3rd to move back up into the 1st round and taking Flowers in the mid-late 20s
I'd also be ok with that for your secondary flair
Agree 1000% and quite frankly I think we pull that off
Unironically DHop just for the absolute scenes of Mahomes throwing to him. Its not a particularly wise move, but damn it.
Nuk isn't fa
Imagine Mahomes with someone like Tyreek Hill
I don’t know exactly who yet, but we don’t really have a 0/1 tech on the roster. I know some people on Chiefs Twitter want Greg Gaines
[удалено]
Good as Gould
This is probably the best answer at this point in our offseason
CJ
I was sure when they said Slay was being released it meant CJ was a lock. Then Bradberry signed, then Slay wasn't released after all. Now it's maximum butt-clench because there have been quite a few safeties taken off the table and CJ is one of the only premier guys left out there. Howie really seems to have this shit figured out post chip era. I’m pretty confident in whatever he does. I thought at least 2/3 were gone for sure and the fact that he already has 2 locked up is a big win already
A lot of pass rushers out there, whichever one wants to sign a reasonable deal.
Dalton Schultz to the Packers.
100%
Does Lamar count?
I'd also like to ask if Lamar counts.
I mean I’d still love to see Bobby Wagner play for us. Even with LVE re-signing. If we’re going for one signing for a need then it’s Semulao for LG Oddly enough, I’d sign Cameron Brate. Cheap and provides a vet in the TE room.
i’ll take one DHOP please. Bobby Wagner would be cool too tho
I'd take Brate... but I would have tried harder to keep Dalton Schultz. I think letting him go was a big mistake.
Rock Ya-Sin
A lineman. OG, OT, DT, DE. ANYTHING DAVE
For Green Bay they need some pass catchers, Marvin Jones could be a cheap veteran option to put in the slot, maybe he can help develop the young guys like Watson and Doubs. Foster Moreau would be dope to have at TE but I wouldn’t mind settling for Anthony Firkser if they draft someone good
Literally any RB but Zeke. Please god not Zeke. Id rather we just resign Singletary for cheaper than what Zeke will warrant.
I wouldn’t mind Zeke if it was a reasonable contract. We need a power RB to compliment cook and someone who can power it over the goal line so we don’t kill josh by QB sneaking it everytime
Even Lenny? Btw I think zeke is better than any Rb bills got rn
Zeke is still amongst the best in pass protection and a solid short yardage option. I’d welcome the signing for the right cost.
Even Lenny? Btw I think zeke is better than any Rb bills got rn
Bring Bobby Wagner home.
Thielen
I hope you take him just so he can win a Super Bowl. Though he’s definitely going to be pretty much a red zone only player now.
I feel like we could utilize him amazingly as a gimmick player, but I bet he still thinks that he's an every down sort of WR
I dislike this, but like this at the same time.
I would go d hop with my pick. Should give us a good situation to see what we have for our QB situation and maybe make us a playoff team if our offense improves. More of a situation just to see what we got over a win now type thing but could play out on both I guess.
I do not want that
Lions resigning DJ Chark.
Unlimited free agents. Wait, shit, that’s genies.
Lamar is probably never happening and even if it did I'd be pissed when he gets injured in year one. So either OBJ or Shaquille Griffin now that we lost Gilly. Not much left worth much and Ballard doesn't pay. Edit:. How do I get one of those team tags on my name?
Bobby Wagner
Bobby Wagner.
Wagner
One of those mid tier RT and Foster Mereaux
CJ Gardner-Johnson. Idk what's taking so long but I really hope the birds bring him back
Isaiah Wynn
He's obviously got talent. Idk what caused him to decline so much but he might be worth a flyer if the price is right.
Moving him to RT and Patricia being the o-line coach probably didn’t help his cause.
Please take him so we don't try to have him back
Literally any outside corner would be great for the Colts
CJGJ. All I ask
Josh Woods our ST captain last season
Myles Jack. I think he’s still got it and a change of scenery will be great for him.
Thats what we said last year. Sure, for the right price he isn't bad, but if he wants anywhere near what he would have gotten from us this season (pre-cut) then i'd say stay away.
Calais Campbell needs to be a Bear
I'd want the Phins to bring in one more lineman. Preferably someone who can move around a bit to cover for Armstead. He's guaranteed to miss games. Maybe a Billy Turner? I think Dalton Risner is the best remaining o-lineman so wouldn't be mad at him.
Hope we resign Rock Ya-Sin . Dude was solid
OBJ
Hmm tough call
CJGJ
Shush you have your safety in Scott
Chark as well. A receiving group of Chark, Juju, Bourne, Parker, Thornton with Henry and Gesicki at tight end is more than enough weapons for Mac
Chark has the potential of a legit WR1 too. And would be better long term than DHop. Don’t know why you got downvoted, that’s a great reviving group tbh.
Taylor Rapp for us as well
I grew up with Taylor. The bengals are a top choice for him right now
Chark or Thielen. I don’t really know how much I’d trust OBJ. Or Calais Campbell for defense
I just prefer that for the panthers it’s no one else from Cincy
I was hoping that nick Scott signing the day he visited was going to be a big reveal of they both signed all day lol and it didn't happen.
Trade for Elijah Moore EDIT: LFG!
Just blatantly disregarding the stipulation of the thread
It's in their nature, they're a browns fan
Dhop
Nuk isn't fa
CJ Gardner Johnson, or really, any serviceable safety. Taylor Rapp, Vonn Bell tier would've been fine too.
BWagz
Bobby Wagner
BOBBY WAGNER 👏 👏 👏👏👏
I would like a new coach, please, and thank you (ATL)
Calais Campbell and or Shelby Harris need some depth on the dline (broncos btw)
I hope the panthers don’t get anyone else.. i think you all have a chance to be solid with the moves y’all have made and if you get a hold of some WRs.. the pick you all gave my bears won’t be able to get MHJ😭

I also think if we get Odell it wouldn’t matter much when him Wilson and Breece are on the field together if they decided to play him over Moore
Bobby Wagner
Bobby. Wagner. We need coverage linebackers.
Bobby Wagner, ez pz.
I would love to see Bobby Wagner in a Dolphins jersey
Mecole Hardman
Sign Eddy Pinero I guess cuz we need a kicker now that they let Matt Gay walk and sign with the colts
BPA CJGJ
yannick ngakoue to throw into a rotaion of 40% ngakoue, 30% turner and 30% granderson for the second edge spot to start. best after 5 weeks can take 75%
Thielen (Not counting Lamar, obviously). Him + a speedster in the draft and we might finally have a component wr room.

Perryman
I really want Marcus Peters as our CB2 but I’m worried abt his attitude. Maybe Kyle and Lynch can talk some sense into him.
Chark, for us. I think he’s in the right price range and his speed would be valuable.
Connor McGovern
