I really hope Derrick Henry doesn’t completely break down over the next couple of years which is more likely than not. If he produces two more 1100-1500 yds/10+ TDs over the next couple years and then still hangs around a bit to add to the bulk stats I think he’ll get into the HOF.

I applied to a handful per day every week I was unemployed and only ever heard back from less than a third of the places.
I definitely overextended working with recruiters/sending so many applications out that I really lost track after a while. I got a call back saying I got a second round interview once and could not remember any details about the person I had the first interview with.
It's a double edged sword of trying to get ahead of very few responses in the job search.
I treat work like a game I'm getting paid to play. I want to do well, sure, but I would never let it make me feel a feeling in my actual body/mind. This is just 9-5 Monopoly tbh. It's only as real as you let it be.
You might be self medicating for an underlying mental issue. I used to do the same thing and I don’t abuse anything in the alcohol/nicotine/caffeine arena anymore after I got on the proper meds and committed to therapy. I’d see a psychiatrist/psychologist if you deem that something you think would help.
And I want to clarify: this is because I’d switch out one vice for another. Even if I could drop another no problem, it’d be on to the next one.
I would mention it to them but I’m assuming you have already. It seems like it’s a critical issue that needs to be addressed because the anxiety is going to impeded your progress. It absolutely did for me.
I wonder how much of it is knowing exactly how bad some of those other substances are for you. Like I think most people who consume energy drinks know it's probably not great to put all that crap in our bodies, but it's nowhere near as well documented or marketed to us as smoking or drinking

Lately only been using my coffee maker for when I run out or forget to buy more. 200 mg of caffeine isn’t a crazy amount compared to some energy drinks out there and the flavors are good. Then warheads and Swedish fish candy flavors really bring me back to being a kid.

Nice. When I make coffee I do 4 cups, but I only really need caffeine while I’m waking up…so I drink coffee or an energy drink between like 5-6am. We have a coffee maker in the kitchen at work too, but I find that as long as I got decent sleep the night before, I’m good the rest of the day.
my friends introduced me to Celsius this summer and it quickly became a daily go-to. Whatever sweetener they use isn't quite zero calorie but it's close enough and tastes a lot better than your diet whatevers

Maybe this is in my head, but I feel like I grow too attached to be able to provide the callousness needed to train a dog to the degree of soft commands. There's a distancing that legitimate trainers provide and I'm way too willing to be affectionate.
I will say, there is a fine line… but if you can do it, a well behaved/well trained dog is sooooooo worth sometimes being what your training method requires. :)

As a car fan, I dread the wave of Turbo engines we have on the road. While I'm sure they are more reliable than past incarnations (ie wear and air Temp issues) they will never be natural aspiration.
Especially when you have crazy refined NA engines out there. We're at the point where engine life expectancy has become larger than frame (unibody) expectancy. That's a crazy notion.
Now, add in the mix of hybrid and electric cars out there with near instantaneous acceleration, and a turbo is a must. Especially on the low volume 4 cylinders. Turbo is needed to drive on today's streets.
If I was you and out shopping for a new car in the way I shop (buy for 300k miles and 15+ years) I'd avoid the turbo. Just get a hybrid with the best battery warranty you can find and start saving for the 100k mile replacement pack. Or...get lucky and find an ancient frame with an NA engine in it still. Not many left.

Same. Pure function is required with luxury a distant second. I ended up with a hybrid RAV4 and a Lexus GX. Both should get me close to 2040 with proper care. The Rav has some battery packs to deal with in a decade and the GX drinks like adre the giant. Not perfect cars, but the fit my requirements.

Yeah - I generally just lurk the dog training sub so this was on my mind is all.
Maybe this is in my head, but I feel like I grow too attached to be able to provide the callousness needed to train a dog to the degree of soft commands. There's a distancing that legitimate trainers provide and I'm way too willing to be affectionate.
I will say, there is a fine line… but if you can do it, a well behaved/well trained dog is sooooooo worth sometimes being what your training method requires. :) my dog (before he passed) was an angel on earth, after putting in the time/ effort/discomfort on the front-end for training. Even though all I wanted was to boop his nose and tell him how much I loved him all the time hahaha

As a car fan, I dread the wave of Turbo engines we have on the road. While I'm sure they are more reliable than past incarnations (ie wear and air Temp issues) they will never be natural aspiration. Especially when you have crazy refined NA engines out there. We're at the point where engine life expectancy has become larger than frame (unibody) expectancy. That's a crazy notion. Now, add in the mix of hybrid and electric cars out there with near instantaneous acceleration, and a turbo is a must. Especially on the low volume 4 cylinders. Turbo is needed to drive on today's streets. If I was you and out shopping for a new car in the way I shop (buy for 300k miles and 15+ years) I'd avoid the turbo. Just get a hybrid with the best battery warranty you can find and start saving for the 100k mile replacement pack. Or...get lucky and find an ancient frame with an NA engine in it still. Not many left. This has been car thoughts.
I get the sentiment but that ship has already sailed in American unless you want a basic Japanese sedan or Chrysler. There hasn’t been an NA German car besides the GT3 and Atlas(?) in America for at least five years. Ford is mostly boosted, GMs few small cars are mostly boosted and Chrysler is making lousy cars. I welcome the new car turbo overlords because we have no choice.

Same. Pure function is required with luxury a distant second. I ended up with a hybrid RAV4 and a Lexus GX. Both should get me close to 2040 with proper care. The Rav has some battery packs to deal with in a decade and the GX drinks like adre the giant. Not perfect cars, but the fit my requirements.
