These battlefield trailers are getting crazy
Lmao my first thought as well. Somebody's out here spawn camping with the attack chopper
Me too... Happens in war thunder all the time
They're waiting for the right moment to ambush the attack chopper!
War thunder has helicopters now??
For almost 2 years now
If you look closely the front gunner is making shooting noises with his mouth while rotating the gun turret… pew pew pew
In which era do u live?
Circling tv station, or hovering out in the water using tv missles...ahhh, good old days
These are the dudes who go 130-0 on Shanghai ... :(
Nah, they're actually holding still for five seconds.
How could I miss that, my bad.
Admin eill kick them for stealing the Viper
I really wish they didn't nerf the planes in BF4 and later.
I flew 2v2 in competitive TWL (lol xfire) for BF2, and in BF3 I think we set server records for score per minute to the point we triggered an aimbot autoban. our usual KDR was like... 180/4 as long as we weren't getting camped by a billion stingers. really fun stuff back in the day
you were hated by many haha
my clan tag (of 7 people) was banned on sight in all except two servers rofl. the autoban only trips at 10,000 score per minute, we passed that when flying over noshahr canals and deleting four squads and an AA within two or three seconds + all the flag defense and order bonuses
I hated the Warthog bastards back when I ran my tank company in BF2. Used to melt my tank columns like ice on a hot sidewalk. Totally OP. 😒
Aa mine + smaw and they dont if i am in the server
jokes on you, if you kill the admin 2 times with the smaw/rpg you will ge kicked. also, aa mine is not allowed...of course :))
And sniperlimit 3
Na, It's probably Training for Riverfire.
And it was.
And was not just one aircraft.
Hope no one try to take the c4 jeep in real life.
They looking for emus
What, so we can lose another war? Nahhh
Plot twist: It's the Royal Emu Air Force's attack helicopter
They only found a few Emos (who were shot by special forces)
Yes. And the Aussies went to war against them. Yes - they went to war against birds. And lost.
Flightless bird similar to an ostrich
Nah. Just the Broncos attack/defense
Gotta show your old new best mates USA and UK that you can do more than buying their submarines
oof don't tell the Franks
Don't mention the Le Sûbmarines
Isn't the Tiger a French chopper? Guess we stuck with that deal
The AUS Gov already announced they were ditching the Tiger for the Apache earlier this year.
Hmm interesting. The US is also ditching the Apache to replace it with a new helicopter.
Well they have to sell the old ones to SOMEbody.
are you sure they arent just gonna give them to the tallyban?
Well its joint French/German.
I guess the French should have included the Germans if they wanted to sell submarines
Please have the aussies buy new shit, Canada’s been needing an upgrade for a while
Aussie’s get america’s old shit and canada get’s the aussie’s old shit lol
Pretty sure this is the Tiger attack helicopter which happens to be French, I think we’re ditching them though
Hey. It’s heckin’ difficult deciding which finger to use to press the “Autohover” button on the control panel. Not just anybody can do it.
What in the world is going on at Brisbane?
RAAF boys just showing off before a river event later that week.
The RAAF haven't had helos since not long after the Vietnam War. That's a 1st Aviation Regiment ARH Tiger. Thankfully we are trading them in for Apache's
Where do the Tigers go?
No idea. Back to France maybe?
I'll take one.
Good luck getting replacement parts
Buy two. Just like Volvos.
There going to live on a farm far away. They'll be happy there because there's sunshine and rainbows
They went for tea
No doubt that the helicopter is cool, but what we see here is hardly next level. This kind of flying is what these pilots do on a daily basis. That C-17 airplane we see flying through Brisbane in another post: that *is* next fucking level.
Yeah river fire, I'm here now actually
Earlier this evening, you mean :)
It's all done for this year.
Isn't it tonight?
Mask mandate enforcement
Vague threats against civilian life.
They’re trying to blow all the masks away
The annual Riverfire, the semi finals for the NRL, the Met Exhibition at the Art Gallery, the Brisbane Fringe Festival...
Rounding up quarantine evaders
FYI the gun movement = where the pilot or gunner is looking.
I was thinking the same tooo, what that guy looking for? 🤔
People without their masks on… duh
Hehe, .. i bet he got alot of them!
Lets just say his kill-streak is so high, he can call in about 4 and 1/2 nukes.
Is that Scott Morrison?
That sums it up pretty well, just a bit less running and a bit more silent white light…
This was about 5 hours ago and is apart of the Brisbane Riverfire festival, it is an annual event that includes flyby's from jets, helicopters and a C-17 Globemaster (A massive RAAF plane which recently went viral online for its 2019 flyby). The event also includes fireworks and artwork displays and is an initiative to promote Bribane's culture and people.
To be clear, it's mostly a fireworks display.
The aircraft were added way back, when it was discovered that the F-111's fuel dump mechanism trailed a fireball and the event planners thought "lmao sick".
The F-111's gone, but the plane's have stuck around.
Of course you are still having a festival in your Covid Fred state….. sigh…. /s
We would be so fucked if we didn’t have COVID Fred to protect us.
Likely an excercise to be fair I. E. Run through the movements and give feedback.
Gotta make the most of those opportunities I guess.
This is apart of this years flyby section of the Brisbane riverfire festival
I guess yu gats to show off, to sum it up!
Fellow DCS enjoyer?
Army helicopter. We took them off the RAAF decades ago.
Came here today this.
Helicopters are either Navy for getting on/off ships at sea, or Army for moving troops or busting up parties.
The airforce take off from runways and drop people or supplies out the back, and sometimes let loose ordinance from altitude.
>Came here today this.
Yeah, well, I came here yesterday this.
There is nothing casual about the flying that pilot was doing. To rotate the aircraft while flying the same direction takes incredible skill.
They make it look casual though lol
That rotation from backwards to forwards was smooth, but you should know that aerodynamics help a lot with flips like that, because the airstream pushes the helicopter straight ahead once the rotation is started. My point is, the helicopter pilot really is flying casually (for his skill set), that maneuver doesn’t take incredible concentration. Helicopter pilots do a LOT that is much more challenging.
That may be true but to do rudder turns while also rotating the collective pitch around, and to make it look that smooth takes a lot of skill. The aircraft will want to trim itself to fly straight at speed but not at those speeds, I don’t the there would be enough airflow over the vertical stabilizers in the back. In the second half when they transition to hover and start flying backwards and then rotating the aircraft around while still traveling the same direction is harder than it looks.
> rotating the collective pitch around
I think you meant cyclic. Collective for up/down. Cyclic for lateral/longitudinal movement.
But is it as rare for chopper gunner pilots?
Crikey. ...put your mask back on.
If that's your natural response to seeing an attack helicopter in a civilian town, we're doomed.
...you know you're going to have idiot Americans thinking this is because of the recent anti-vax riots, right?
Literally, the comment below your is that.
Didn’t think that at all actually.
Swinging that gun around like they are playing an alien invasion AR game.
The gun is slaved to their helmet mounted optics, so it just goes wherever the pilot is looking.
A nation In Oceania with a brutal government and an attack helicopter hovering over a city
Jesus Christ this is literally what happened in 1984
This is apart of an anual festival that the city holds. The RAAF flyby's are apart of the festival which includes fireworks, art displays, and the promotion of Brisbane's culture.
I know mate, it even says it in the title, I tried to make a joke but I think it failed
Gotcha, sorry about that, it's a worrying sign that the line between satire and legitimate comments by idiots who actually think this is some attempt to intimidate citizens has become so blury. Just atempting to inform people.
No problem Mate, it's my bad for not adding a /s
Some of the Sepps are fair dinkum about this.
when it come to helicopters, i actually prefer a more aggressive hover.
New battlefield 2042 gameplay
Looking for the man who has fallen into the river (in lego city)
Some woman jogging down the path asking herself “ummm why is that gun following me?”
While the pilot is going, "Pew pew... Pew pew pew. Got 'em." Very quietly to himself.
Slight correction, that's an Army chopper.
This is feeding the Americans wet dreams about a brutal government enforcing draconian lockdown laws.
Meanwhile in Australia I just came back from a swim at the beach and about to meet up with mates at the park for a bbq!
>feeding the Americans wet dreams about a brutal government enforcing draconian lockdown laws.
Yeah, what the fuck is up with that soggy biscuit shit with the Sepps?
We know how most of them couldn't even point to Australia on a map --- this newsroom reported that [Queensland is in Germany ](https://youtu.be/LnS2k3Rrw5k) -- but there must some highly hallucinary shit they are stuffing in their gobs before furiously mastubating about Australia's nation wide house arrest.
Couldn’t have said it better!
Capturing objective f
BTW Thats not the RAAF, it's Army Aviation
Just your average game of Siege of Shanghai
Didn't think the RAAF had any rotary wings.
I thought that all rotary winged aircraft were Army.
Yea it is an army chopper not RAAF
*Australian Army has the attack choppers not RAAF
Yeah thats the Army, not the Air Force. Air Force flew the BFP over.
Yo someone's on a 7 killstreak
Those helicopters are owned by army actually
I can't see it.
Chopper is John Cena?
Another event we had today:
It's called "Riverfire", we do it every year. Some military show, then fireworks.
I love Brizzy
why is that gun moving around
Need that thing in Melbourne CBD at the moment.
Not the RAAF but whatever
Probably looking for people without masks.
Or perhaps there for annual flyby/airshow that happens every year
Fun Fact: hovering a chopper is crazy fucking hard
E:after watching the video, i can say with upmost certainty, that pilot does not think so.
RAAF doesn’t operate helicopters. Its an army machine. 😎
That's not R.A.A.F.
It's Australian Army. That there is a Reconnaissance/Attack helicopter. And it's never done anything but train in either role. I give you our last French defence procurement, the Eurocopter Tiger. Or, as I like to call it, the Koala. Because, just like the Koala, it can't be shipped off shore and can't be shot at.
>Because, just like the Koala
...it has chlamydia?
me in my new attack helicopter in gta looking for my friend like:
This makes me wish I never moved out of Australia
Battlefield 4 but irl
Must find the maskless! Poor Aussies
Again, it’s an annual airshow bud.
It was a joke, but I guess it hit a little too close to home.
“Pew pew pew”
The pilot probably.
For what reason?
Its apart of an anual airshow
Didn't know Australian military is using Tiger as Reconnaissance Helicopter. Good choice.
Looks like a Tiger attack helicopter
RAAF? Army's going to be pissed.
I worked at a pretty big company (details will intentionally be very vague since I signed a thing about not discussing this) and all the security guys were military dudes. I got along with them real well and got an opportunity to participate (AND GET PAID FOR) in a roleplay military exercise. I (and about 7 other vans full of randos) roleplayed insurgents and we were given the garb and assigned areas to occupy in a VERY prominent building in my city (at night, while storming.)
They used paint rounds. Some roleplayers were designated as combatants and they knew what they were signing up for.. they were the ones to receive the paint rounds and the pushing around. Other folks like myself just got ushered away at gunpoint.
It was completely insane. I was in a back cafeteria area and when it started, the gunfire that echoed through the building can't be described. It was a roar that echoed. The roaring just got louder until they made it to the cafeteria.
The lights were out in the building.. I remember seeing the silhouette of the first soldier against a vending machine turn the corner into the cafeteria and just start shouting at everyone.. lazers started appearing on everyone. They came in and started forcing people against a wall (I wear glasses, and we're all wearing paintball masks, so my glasses were fogged to hell and I needed help finding the wall. I got laughed at lol.)
After they detained us, we had to do a chain formation.. single file line, put your hands on the shoulders of the person in front of you. We were taken to a meeting room where we could take off our garb and wait for the training session to be over (you could hear gunfire the entire time)
Some of the dudes got a little fucked up. One of the volunteers took an accidental rifle butt to the face. One took a paint round to the hand and it left a pretty huge mark and bled a bit.. anyone who received damage was FUCKING STOKED. You'd think these guys just won the lottery.
The soldiers all chatted with us (actually they chatted 20% with the males, 80% with the females) in the meeting room for a while. Answered questions. Handed out paint rounds as a souvenir. Finally (and keep in mind its night time and we're in a DENSE city, also storming hard) we hear a helicopter right outside the window. We all flock over and there's a black hawk landing in the goddamn central street of the city. Like I could throw a heavy rock at it if I had the flu. It was SO close.
Turn back around and realize the soldiers are gone.. look back at the copter and they're filing into it. It takes off in the rain and we all go home.
Absolutely insane night and I can't believe they paid me like $300 to do it.
That's Australian Army Aviation Corps. Flying a French pos, Tiger. Soon to be replaced by a proper armed helo, Apache.
So what you’re saying is you got a free air show? Damn them!
I was there. This is only a small part of the larger airshow yesterday which included jets, more helicopters and to top it off the C-17 Globemaster (a massive cargo plane) all flying down the brisbane river. Should've moved to Brissy.
That’s the loud bang squad

Damn it’s smooth
Tom Cruise must be filming another MI.
They're getting hyped for BF2042
Good old, bonkers, Aussies.
GET TO THE CHOPPER
Is this chopper as lethal as the Apache 64H
reminds me of this video [2018 International Special Operations Capabilities Demonstration](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=h5YP0d3Z-kg)
Practicing for the new Battlefield I see!!!
I would cream so hard if I was there. 💦💦💦
No dumbasses, this is not some bullshit auth hellhole thing, this is part of an annual flyby that happens every year. Stop farming out of context and fake things for karma on r/politicalcompassmemes
Seppos gonna sepp.
Hey mate, there's one who's just come along and proved your point.
Anyway, so how good was the AFL GF in Perth, the Riverfire, the NRL game at Suncorp stadium, the Brisbane fringe festival, South Australia's nature festival, the Darwin International Film Festival, and the usual things in Hobart...?
Fuck yea I’m a Blues supporter but I was goin for Demons. Was a satisfying win from the underdogs. Riverfire looks cool if I ever get the chance to go to Brisbane I’ll check it out. Don’t follow NRL lol, AFL is the real Aussie footy in my books.
Same. I'm a West Aussie in BNE, yanno, the city where I was supposed to be cowering in my jocks.
I’m in the centre of it all in inner suburbs of Melbourne just watching all the chaos go down around me. Man I just wanna go back to normal.
Riverfire fireworks event was on tonight and they sometimes showcase military aircraft as well
Hehe look at the 30mm go. The must have it slaved on
It is the Australian Army and not R.A.A.F.
The festival they are practicing is called River Fire. Lots of cool cultural events and fire works in Brisbane. Also the same festival that the C-17 was flying through the city for (that is done by the R.A.A.F).
1. RAAF don't have helicopters the Army does.
2. That's an ARH which is an armed reconnaissance helicopter, very different to an attack helicopters.
True. But the gamer boyz in this thread just wanna bung on the blokiness and posture like know what they're on about.
It's TIGRE hélicoptère french army or german army
Australia also operates them
Just another day in America
Ha! I used to live on Kangaroo Island right across the river from there. There are ferries that bring you over to the city and back, and there is a helicopter landing area next to the departure area. I had a terrifying experience once after exiting the ferry and walking up to cross the street. I was waiting for the light to change with the heli landing area right behind me which was enclosed by a high chainmail fence when there was an enormous crash very close behind me. I yelled "**Jesus Christ!!**!" and swung round to see what was happening. A guy with a parachute attached had landed on the fence and looked like he broke several fingers as he sieved through the chainmail at speed. I asked him if he was okay and he said "Yep". A second guy dropped on the landing area and they both scooped up their parachutes and dashed across the street into a van and took off. They had base jumped off of one of the high rise buildings nearby.
It's a helicopter doing helicopter things
Let them play GTA in peace gosh
Acttual footage of GTA 6 player
if this happnd on the yarra the greens would shit bricks
I wonder what this button does... boom boom boom
