Orchestras pranking their conductors on their birthdays
By - UnknownSkies_YT
The Beethoven one is seriously impressive. Someone worked their ass off orchestrating that!
Probably a semiconductor
You’re on the wrong train.
Excuse me sir, this is a sub.
No, this is Patrick.
Is mayonnaise an instrument?
Is horseradish an instrument?
You can tune a piano, but you can’t tuna fish.
Thank you sir, the door is this way. All of reddit kindly asks you to never return.
And whats the right train? How without a conductor?
Damn that’s Funny!
Incredible arrangement, he was delighted.
They seem like really sweet and gentle guys that are loved and respected by their orchestras. This is really what next fucking level means
Yeah I bet the asshole conductors don’t get as many birthday surprises
This is actually insane. r/wholesome for sure
This has brought me to tears!! So bloody beautiful.
Ok, I am glad I am not the only one who got rather tearful!
Same here! This was beautiful, and I hate birthdays!!
This is an unimaginably amazing tribute. Among the best someone can get. The last conductor conducted his own tribute, it’s amazing!
TwoSet should react to this.
If you can conduct it slowly, you can conduct it quickly.
Was not expecting to like this at all, but I loved it. Heartwarming and kind and surprising all in one.
That's my violin teacher in the 1st stand of the TSO prank.
The best part of this that the conductor didn't know they are planning something.
Personally i like [this surpise](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NmkEQ2HrOAo), because you can see how important concert masters are (the guy with violin in the front row). You can see him directing that part of the concert while playing his part
Being a concertmaster is a lot more work/pressure than I think people outside of an orchestra realize.
I was one in high school, and I still get sweaty palmed nightmares about fucking up getting everyone to stand for the conductor or the few pieces I had to lead on... can’t imagine doing it at this level lol
Musicians are just the coolest people on this planet. I’m not one but I’ve always wanted to be.
There’s no reason you can’t start now!! I played trumpet for a decade and just picked up violin at the ripe old age of 29!
Never too late, my friend. I had my first cello lesson at age 36! :)
Go you!!! I picked it back up at 31 after a 13 year break and was so humbled. Props to all you adult learners out there and keep going!
Thank you! :)
Started violin at 37. So.. 🤷🏻♂️
This was awesome
Indeed it was!
This is amazing, made me tear a bit
I needed this. I can't believe how much I needed this. I was upset, angry, wound up too tight, but this video reminded me that everything is going to be okay.
Bravo and thank you!
Now we need an orchestra to rickroll its conductor...
That Beethoven really touched me and that arrangement is truly amazing! Made my day

I miss seeing classical music live
Me three 😭
as much as I love rock music, there’s something about an entire orchestra filling a room gives me goosebumps every time!
On my 17th bday I got to school late(farm kid) I checked in at the office then went to class. They were playing hangman. When I realized it was HAPPY BIRTHDAY I said it and the whole class started singing.
Now this is the kind of prank I want to see more of!
Happy Birthday Katherine, I love you.
3 minutes of non-stop smiling! Thank you!
"Not quite my tempo."
This is Awesome! It made my eyes sweat a little bit.
Is it still a prank if it’s wholesome??? Quick someone prank me
You may also all like [this](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Gb5HdJjwoXM) where the Berlin Phil did Mahler 5 into happy birthday for one of their horn players.
I really, really miss going to see the TSO. My last visit was for their Halloween Haunt in 2019. Who knew what was coming?
So gotdangt wholesome
This is wholesome
Smile through the whole video
I got to admit that was next fucking level awesome 👏.
Absolutely brilliant and beautiful! Made me have tears.

In the same vein, [here is the low brass section pranking the whole orchestra](https://youtu.be/Oipg71dSem0)
Well played in Prokofiev’s Romeo and Juliet
This put a smile on my face for 3 minutes straight. Just beautiful.
That made my heart smile
This video is so heart warming and beautiful. Thank you for posting it. 😁
Just to play these songs is impressive, then add in Happy Birthday throughout. Awesome. Just awesome.
Wow now that’s the Coincidence of the day today is my birthday so to see this is one weird coincidence
That second guy became a kid again. So great to see people when they are experiencing what they love.
This is super-duper heartwarming, wow. Needed this today <3
I am crying?????
this really make my day :,D
This might be the most heart warming thing I’ve seen
This type of stuff needs to make a comeback. People are systematically being taught to appreciate the stupid things in this world and turn a blind eye to true art and talent. It is a wonderful token here.
I loved the part where they combined Beethoven with Happy Birthday. The conductor became a little kid just enthused with the piece and how the orchestra was performing it.
Here's the full clip if anyone wants it: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9Wqeug-XHKk
Ngl I thought his hair was shining instead of the logo
Huh, the birthday song is actually tolerable played by an orchestra instead of a out of tune group of people singing out of sync.
Always hated that song, I've walked out of the room before cause people insisted on singing it.
That's the proof that the maestro is not needed.
"I just played some Mario Cart, just more proof that I don't need to adhere to traffic lights to drive with everyone else"
Your argument makes no sense. So you have the road code book(music), you got taught how to drive(play the instrument), do you need someone next to you to drive on the road with other ppl? No.
More proof that conductors are unnecessary. They're not conducting here and orchestra is still able to play just fine.
u could hear that the first orchestra wasn't in time at the end dumbass
Wow it really proves how pointless having a conductor is. They just mutinied the songs and killed it with out him
annoying cos you've never been appreciated by someone before?
Yea Fuck my friends. Fuck them for not having ever licked my ass with orchestration and string.
