Bring treats for the dogs. Maybe they'll start associating you with snacks and chill out.

CBD doggie treats. They will REALLY chill out!!

MrsNoPants420

Just like to mention that some animals can have a bad reaction to cbd medicine and you could get in trouble for poisoning an animal if they do have a bad reaction. My dog is allergic to a lot of cbd treats. The spray works well on him but the treats make him sick

jrsobx

Man, that sucks. CBD has given my dog at least another year of comfortable living.

MrsNoPants420

I use a spray for his joints hes 9 now and getting those typical lab issues. He just cant ingest the treats idk why.

jrsobx

Have you tried different brands? Wondering if it’s the cbd or the ingredients.

MrsNoPants420

Ive tried three brands and every time he gets sick. No reaction to the spray he used to have the same problem when he would eat weed stems. -.- i didnt feed yhem yo him he sought them out. He used to eat my weed too and then puke. So i think he just cant digest it

Seeing as she normally sits there with them while they bark and also have a camera down the side of their house idk if this would be a great idea but I appreciate your help, thank you

msmurasaki

She could be training them as guard dogs and just want the dogs to let her know when people are walking by. Doesn't have to be targeted at you. However, if it really annoys you. Get a dog whistle or something. Everytime they bark next to you, whistle.

LibertyUnderpants

Um.... barking when someone walks past is something that dogs just kinda do. It's very doglike behavior. Your neighbor wouldn't have to train them to do this, they'd just do it on their own. Agreed with doggie treats but idk if I'd give someone else's animal CBD treats. Just buy a box of Milkbones and give the pups a couple every time you walk by. They will chill.

JacenCaedus1

Except when she specifically praises the dogs when they bark at passing people, that's training them

LibertyUnderpants

You're right about that, sorry I must have missed where OP said she did that.

fiona269

It’s more fact the dogs going psycho and she’s patting him saying he’s a good boy whilst calling me rude names over the fence. Thanks for the suggestion! Unfortunately she has cameras so treats aren’t an option as likely she would think we are poisoning him and smash my car or something lol I’m OPs fiancé btw

gardener-of-weeden

wouldn't the constant barking annoy the other neighbors? I would take a chair out there and let the dogs bark their fool heads off. When someone complains about the noise - you are doing nothing wrong sitting there innocently reading a book, why there... nice view - sunny spot what ever.

MissyMcMisery

Watergun. Spray them every time they bark or display any nasty behaviour and within 2 weeks you'll be sorted :)

MissyMcMisery

Also, fuck your NFH..

Firstly , get a dog whistle . It should distract them enough to stop them barking . Secondly if your in the uk contact the rspca . For an owner to be training her dogs to act aggressively this can constitute as animal abuse AND I’ve been told ( my neighbours dog also barks ) that they will investigate cases of dogs barking more than Average because it could be a potential problem with the dogs health as well as bad owners . The only problem is it WILL be pretty obvious who contacted them so if your afraid they’ll retaliate violently I would stick to the dog whistle . Domestics each night really should be reported to the police , even if the police can say “ look mate we were driving by and could hear your screeching even with our engine running !” Police have a duty of care so this wouldn’t be far fetched and I’m sure they would work with you if your worried about retaliation. If your not worried about that then fuck em , report EVERYTHING to EVERYONE. If you have a good relationship with other neighbours I would speak to them about it as well . Constant barking and screaming at each other at night must bother others as well and there is strength in numbers , particularly when reporting a nuisance !. Though if you are not close with your other neighbours don’t bother , I tried to do this when my upstairs neighbour decided every Saturday at 1am he would call his girlfriend or whoever and scream bloody murder at them for hours on end . I refuse to believe that my neighbours ,if not the whole street , heard everything as well but when I tried to do a collective “ we won’t be woken up at 1am again” group no one would answer their door to me . Some people won’t want to get involved which is their business but be careful they don’t throw you under the bus ! Neighbour politics can be as ruthless as presidential debates !

Wow yes I am definitely looking into a dog whistle seeing as I can’t give them treats or anything seeing as they have a camera down the side of their house and also she sits there with them. And yeah she is pretty psycho so yeah I’m trying to hold out reporting anything seeing as there is no one on the other side or behind their house. Also I’m in Australia but we still have the rspca so definitely an option! Thanks for your help!
