No way Shaq was 14% in 2002. Def was above 20% at that heavy stage. 14% was like his Orlando years. But he'd def be strongest man contender and winner if he had that mentality. Force feeding to get big is a different sport in itself. Live a lot less too.

can_wien07

How many years does it take off

RunThePnR

Prob wouldn't be alive at 50 he was close to 500 lbs for a good number years. Even being 400 lbs is too much strain on your heart. Lots of strongmen die because of that. Add the fact that most WSM comps are outside in the sun.

sublliminali

Are steroids a thing too? I assume there’s testing, but my uneducated guess is that they probably still juice like crazy when training.

ShitFuckDickButt420

Every single WSM competitor ever has used steroids. There is no testing. Source: I’m on steroids

norse95

Lots

TimathanDuncan

Shaq has easily been 400 since retiring and he is 49, it depends on genetics

BigB00tyBitchess

Cause Shaq is well over 7 feet. Most strongmen are 6 ft

RunThePnR

Top guys now are all around 6'5 350-400 lbs now. They added some cardio stuff in there as well now which makes them not be as huge as possible anymore.

RunThePnR

Shaq said he was 375 couple months ago but he prob was around 400 for a year or so. Still can't do strongman training at that weight for too long. He would be close to 500 lbs tho with his height and frame.

liljettt

maybe Brian Shaw if he took the right hormones

forkliftgod

With the right effort and willingness to take the proper "supplements" He'd probably be right up there with the Thor's and Eddie Hall's of the world. Again, he'd have to be willing to live in the gym.

toxicvegeta08

Eddie wasn't that good tbh on a top level compared to how casual people rate him.

Impressive_Park3092

The regular season can’t come soon enough

CleopatraHadAnAnus

Simmons just got fined

TurtleSquad23

Not that strong because this whole subreddit knows he don't work hard! ^/s

el_pete_o

Pretty strong I think

CorrigibleTurkoman

Think he’s too long. Would be a disadvantage for a lot of those lifts

toxicvegeta08

Do we even know his strength genetics. He'd be great at keg toss stones and more due to height. His squats, deadlifts, and overhead lifts would be extremely annoying due to his height and limb length(aside from long arms for deadlift) He's west centrall african I'd say pretty damn great response to gear other than that tho idk. Would be better of he was pure west african.

toxicvegeta08

Hard to say. He has long arms so pressings gonna be a pain. Idk if Shaws qest or east african as well. Many east africans are better for the NBA due to high slow twitch muscle fiber development for long games. Most west africans have a lot of fast twitch which are better for strength
