Maybe maybe maybe

This can't be good for your vinyl. Looks pretty cool though.
Yea saw this on a different sub. Guy said they got it and it destroyed the vinyl within a week of use
To be fair I don't think it's expected to be used to play your vinyl on a regaular basis. More a novetly gift, use a to show people then put away in the junk draw type thing.
And for that its pretty cool
Aaay aay... What?!
Lol I remember this.
These tiktok people definitely got money to promote this shitty Chinese product that ruins vinyl.
Fuck them and that lady's terrible acting chops.
Yeah I was also off put that they had to pretend it's the first time she's seen it
With the record already sitting on the table and oh look it just happens to be a Disney IP! This was all way too much cringe this early in the morning.
destroying Disney IP is based
Her asking how is that possible was so annoying. It is possible in the *exact same way a normal player plays the record* come on now lady AAAAAAAHH!!!
Maybe she hasn't thought about how a normal player works until now. I think it's always ~~mindbuffeling~~ mind boggling when I think about how music/sound is generated, transmitted and perceived.
I like how I read "mindbuffeling" the first time and knew what you meant instantly, but three seconds later my brain halted to a complete stop, I had to look it up, it's not real!
I just can't seem to come up with the actual word that I'm sure you meant.
This whole ordeal has been completely mind boggling to be honest.
I don't know how they manage it but tiktok is absolutely polluted with this stuff. My wife is on tiktok all the time and our house is full of shit like this. Some of it works and is good, most of it sits around taking up space.
The really scary stuff is when the algorithm realizes you watch videos about autism/ADHD, and then pumps your feed full of videos trying to sell you things that will help. The number of cheap useless organizers and activity trackers we have is astounding.
And by the time you realize the thing you bought doesn't work, you've already moved on to the next idea. So you never learn to break the habit.
Honestly, she is such a bad actor that I have no idea how they got sponsored.
They're actually a magician couple and have a show in Vegas. I'm not saying they didn't get paid, but at least in THIS clip, I don't see them even saying what the product is...
Kind of like my Snapchat glasses lol
Oof forgot about those. But honestly, so did Snapchat lol
Was going to say r/DidntKnowIWantedThat, but I've changed my mind.
You use this on the records for the kids. Or ones you don’t care about
Do u remember what sub?
I believe the product says to not use it too much as it can destroy the vinyls
Best kind of product. Buy it, don't use it for it's purpose.
edit: oops. Thanks for the correction.
They were marketed as “vinyl killer” in the 90’s.
They earned that nickname but I don't think they were *marketed* with that name.
They were though.
> Through the years, the Chorocco has shifted names several times, from the RECORD RUNNER, RECORD RIDER, to SOUNDWAGON, to **Vinyl Killer**. Through the 40+ years from Sony, Tamco, Hi Tec and now STOKYO, in 2014, STOKYO decided to finally give a massive update for our little friend.
a couple years ago these were called vinyl killers. So not wrong lol
If someone put that one one of my records I break their arms
There was a guy on shark tank who had a similar product. I think he sold the entire company to one of the sharks but I can’t remember who. Never heard of those ones damaging the records though
It literally happens first thing in this video...needle drags all over the vinyl.
I know, his was a different product. Same thing though. Wasn’t sure if he developed some tech that wouldn’t damage the vinyl when playing. It’s called RokBlok. They didn’t talk about if it messed up your vinyls on his shark tank interview(understandably so). I just had to google it but the reviews look like the RokBlok damages vinyls as well. Too bad, it’s a cool idea.
When we were kids, the needle on our turntable needed to be replaced. Until then, we would roll a standard sheet of paper into a cone shape and tape a stick pin to the tapered end.
Then we turned on the record player, and gently cradled the paper cone in our hand as the needle rested on one of the grooves of the vinyl.
Boom! Instant gramophone. A bit tinny, and lacked pretty much all bass, but it kept us entertained for hours.
I love how creative you and your siblings/friends were.
I'm pretty sure that was an experiment on Mr. Wizard. Either way my cousin and I did the same thing.
EDIT: Found it: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HJa6Ik6xmiU
Oh, god Mr. Wizard. So many fun afternoons of gee-whiz experiments.
Welcome to the age before electronic entertainment
Edit: I am not saying that nobody is creative anymore, stop thinking that I implied it
Yeah I guess there will never be creativity or engineers from this generation on /s I'm a teacher. Trust me. Kids are extremely creative.
I was born in the in 2007, I'm one of those kids good sir
Are you out right admitting that you and your circle are not creative ? That makes me pretty sad. I hate to break it to you young man or woman. But at 14, if you're not creative. Something's wrong with your education. It's not normal. Try to find something you are interested in and explore other options. My aunt has been running a Montessori for 10 years and her kids are unbelievably creative. I teach first and second year university students and also in a private institution for students of all ages and each generation gets more and more creative. As a whole. There will always be those who are not and that sucks if you are in that group but you are the exception I'm afraid. Push for greatness. It's not the technology and it's not your generation. Don't let false assumptions like that stop guy from pushing for greatness.
Hey Mr teacher, I never fucking implied that everybody isn't creative anymore and I will not bother reading your paragraph because it is arguing a point I did not make
Very quick to anger. There is no hostility in my message. I wish nothing but encouragement. Your language absolutely implied that whether it was intentional or not. You're absolutely not obliged to read my paragraph. Have a wonderful weekend. Peace and love
You should know that having like 20 something people misunderstand you thinking that you said your own generation is stupid and uncreative as something anybody is justified to get angry over
You're angry because 20 people misunderstood you? If 20 people misunderstood you. That's your fault for not being clear and is absolutely not a justification for losing it with a stranger on the internet. If 20 people miss understood you. You say.... "shit, I must have worded that wrong. Whoops. Here's what I meant....etc" im not your teacher and clearly shouldn't bother but if you have a moment of clarity. Consider this. Take a breath. Learn to admit when your wrong. It will save you a life time of heart ache, arguments, fights, lost friends and even family. If 20 people think your wrong. You could be wrong
As a guy who was born on 2006, have a little respect to your authorities and listen to their argument before responding with your well-thought out argument. Please. Or else your behavior will be tainted as bad everywhere and you'll be seen as immature in their own world.
See, now this person right here knows condescend to someone. They talk down so good, you'd think their mouth was under their chin.
As if kids now are incapable of being creative
What are you so angry about? I just said the age before electronics, you shouldn't have thought I meant that nobody else is as creative anymore, that is literally quite the opposite
No one has ever been creative since electricity was invented. I've never met a single person with an ounce if creativity.
You're taking it the wrong way, I meant that back then was pretty creative and I never said it isn't creative anymore because we have internet, it's such a stupid way to understand what I said which is not understanding it at all basically
Alright, if kids aren't creative anymore, then go program a mobile game to play on your phone because you don't like what's already available. That's a thing middle schoolers can do. Do you understand that, middle schoolers can make video games that are completely original. Kids are plenty creative, that's a fact of life. Kids just have different priorities now.
Hey asshole, tell me when I said kids today aren't creative anymore, don't tell me "well you implied it", because no I didn't I said people back then were pretty creative, I can understand how you could think I am saying that kids my age are no longer creative but you took the extra mile to hammer down on what I didn't even say to begin with, you misunderstood my sentence and you're at fault
If you're not saying that. Then please enlighten us. What are you saying ?
Yeah everyone here wants to think you're a boomer or something just ragging on kids. They really stretched what you said. So dumb
that back then your most useful skill would and should be creativity in an age where it was harder to get information, and that nowadays it's not that important but still something great to have, so sorry you really had to tell me I'm wrong in anyway possible just because you don't want to be wrong yourself
It especially lacks bass because on a vinyl they apply the RIAA equalization, which boosts the volume of highs and cuts the volume of lows. Normally, the sound signal from the needle has to go through a pre-amp, which applies the reverse of the RIAA equalization, and boosts back the volume of lows, etc.
If this would not be done, then the grooves on a vinyl record would have bigger width due to the bass, which will shorten the playback time - and this is only one of the reasons.
So it's basically analog compression.
I take it you were a [Mr. Wizard](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HJa6Ik6xmiU) fan?
I loved all those old Nickelodeon shows. Shows like Pinwheel and Today's Special.
Danger Mouse and Mysterious Cities of Gold were my jam! Shout out to The Adventure of the Little Prince too.
Don't forgot David the Gnome, my friend.
.... Holy shit, I had and it all just came flooding back. That's an area of my memories with some significant dust on them.
Same here. We’re getting old buddy.
Hey man, just because it’s not the most popular thing isn’t a bad thing. Now we have compact MP3 players that you can bring anywhere, however bringing your turntable and vinyl everywhere is a bit hard. And just about every album out there is still put on vinyl. So I agree that vinyl is cool, just not the most convenient.
I was talking about how the product is damaging the vinyl record. I have a few vinyls myself.
Oh… yes rip vinyl then. I was a bit confused
DO NOT USE THESE!
The tracking of the stylus is way too heavy for your LP’s and singles.
Yeah, say what you want about Crosleys and other cheap record players, THIS thing will destroy your vinyl. The cuteness will go away and you are left with a crappy sounding device and a wrecked record.
I realized I've never heard what a crappy wrecked record sounds like, so [i searched for a video](https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=cqtb6XBBBRc) and realized where the idiom *sound like a broken record* comes from.
I thought they would just be scrambled... How do they just repeat lyrics
Okay i was too young to be allowed to hold vinyls, but from what i remember: When the vinyl is scratched, the needle reads the same groove of the vinyl again and again, so the song is stuck repeating on a segment, until the needle is moved either by the vibration or by hand.
The vinyl plays by the stylus (needle) moving through grooves. If there is a scratch or a bump in that groove, it’ll bounce around and a lot of the times, it’ll just repeat the phrase it was playing earlier and hit that defect over and over again, creating the looping effect.
Basically any scratches will lead to the stylus jumping from groove to groove.
The repeating lyrics happen due to the scratch acting as a barrier and “guiding” the stylus back to a certain position.
There are other ways this can occur, like skipping, which is due to vibrations or because the tracking weight (the amount of weight of the stylus and arm) aren’t set correctly.
Believe me, there’s a whole sub science to vinyl records. I have a YouTube channel I do as a hobby if you’d like to learn more
It's great, but I'm not going to use it on my vinyls either.
Wonderful gimmick though.
This toy be grooving.
Jesus Christ, that thing murders records.
Her acting makes me want to pop my kneecaps open like oysters.
What are you talking about 😧that’s not possible 😮 how is that happening 😲
I think she’s a part of some content farm that makes all the dogshit “wait till the end you won’t believe what happened” videos.
Recently saw one that was by one of these groups that was so blatantly obviously fake “65 year old veteran sees American flag fall to ground while working 70 hour delivery job to pay for his war injury bills, you won’t believe what happens next!” And was a full on hd like DSLR camera video with a fake “ring” watermark. It’s very very funny how bad it is, I’ll try to find it. Edit: [Found it](https://youtu.be/yM_898RoByw)
Also Is doing stolen valor online a crime? Lol
Is she the girl from the grand canyon-sized coochie gap video?
... I dunno. Link that video, please
Found it. https://redd.it/o3ts8m It is not the same girl, but they must have gone to the same acting class.
As a dude with some chunky thighs I can't imagine what that would even feel like to have my legs that far apart.
*Oh yeaaaah.* I remember that one.
Man her acting is SO BAD
But not the same chick....
Well those two girls look nothing alike.
Oh my god that's disgusting. Link?
I think I lost braincells watching her
These people are fucking obnoxious
She looks like a confused dog.
Yeah, that was a little annoying
Am I the only one thinking it seems 100% genuine reactions or am I fucking autistic...
Stop moving the camera you moron
The last couple of years there's been a boom of these Facebook video creators that do trivial shit and stretch their videos by 'struggling' or recording scripted reactions (I assume for some kind of minimum length for ad revenue)
One name that comes to mind is Justin Flum or something. One of the reasons I deleted Facebook. These 'content creators' are pure cancer
Make sure you only use this on records you don’t give a fuck about. It is neat though!
I use ot daily on my screamy face vinyls
The expressions on this lady's face are like pre-caricatured. Artists check her out lol
Its so bad. I've never seen anyone fail so hard at "acting natural"
This could have been a perfect rick roll
They have been selling these on htfr for at least 15 years that I know of
How about 45? [It’s been around since 1976. ](https://recordrunner.jp/pages/about-record-runner)
Wow. There's a Shark Tank episode where a guy "invented" something almost exactly like this, just not a vehicle design.
TechMoan did a great video on this record player a while ago. https://youtu.be/rZZ5x80h3B4

A look at the Record Runner novelty record player. A new take on the 1970s Sound Wagon - AKA the Vinyl Killer, the little VW van that drives around a record, both playing and destroying it at the same time.
This kills the record.
That first one probably scratched the hell out of it
Someone tell the camera guy the whole record fits in frame and he doesn't have to swing around and get everyone motion sickness.
warning: this thing absolutely will shred your vinyl up. do not use this as an everyday player.
Her acting makes me feel like this an ad.
How to ruin your adult’s toy with a child’s toy
What a pair of bellends
The split window VW Bus is the perfect vehicle for this.
I had this as a kid, [loooong time ago. ](https://recordrunner.jp/pages/about-record-runner)

Had the sound off and thought they were both gonna be cake
Love the occasional horrible Doppler effect
Shouldn't it be moving to the inside?
Normally yes, but there are some records (mostly as a novelty) that have the groove run the other way. _Lazeretto_ by Jack White is the first that springs to mind.
More products need slightly confused and impressed girls to remark on them.
Probably could be done. The most challenging part is the speed and turn control
Putting a bare vinyl on a non felt surface gives me anxiety.
I love how the woman is trying to understand how a record player works
shut up and take my money!
Damn, i want one of those..
That woman is retarded
I like this high. Come and get your love

She be so high
this nerds more upvotes now
I've been wondering what Boxxy was up to.
My wife has that record. One of our favs.
Her very impressed, “COME AND GET YOUR LOVE!”
Dj Qbert has one of these in the Scratch documentary
Took me a lil bit to realize its like a music box toy.
For the love of god, hold the fucking camera still
No maybes about it, between the bad acting the abrupt cut it's staged bullshit
Imagine one day hearing music playing downstairs with the truck going round and round
Techmoan's got a whole video on these and how terrible they are
This couple is just so fake. I've seen their films their expressions are just so over the top.
> how is that possible
lol. she has no clue how a phonograph works.
is she a good witch or a bad witch?
Made me hum
ik these fake ass people....making scripted shit
Someone linked Techmoan's video on it, below. [Check it out](https://youtube.com/watch?v=rZZ5x80h3B4)
Now I wanna see the heros in a movie bursting into the room of the main villain, and the villain is sitting there with that pink van going around a record player
No rick roll? My displeasure knows no borders
Garbage record player and a girl pretending to be dumb
Do better reddit
Oh, and a 100x repost
That’s actually kinda dope.
I love her face. Like How?!?!
You can also do it with a paperclip and a sheet of paper, final works through vibrations and you can gett wired sounds some rime
Haha these things are great, they've been around for quite a long time now and still I'm so happy someone's brain decided to create it
I hate it I want one now
I love love love records. Miss going for a new record every Saturday.
These people make the fakest and most staged videos so honestly I can never believe them
[Redbone - Come & Get Your Love](https://youtu.be/bc0KhhjJP98)
I cannot tell you how sick of the videos this channel makes I am
“How is that possible”
Lady?! You think it’s driving around on some random what?!
This couple are possibly two of my most hated people on the planet. Like I actively hate them and I don’t even know why, they’re irritating as being stabbed with a blunt spoon over and over again in the right but cheek.
