20 =( post covid is a bitch
We have about the same, and no guard this year 😞
Dude are you in my band?
around 250 with guard
37 with guard
I’ve got 170 people. We lost a ton of people this year because we had about 50 seniors graduate. Before that, we had about 200 people.
Dang how big is your school 😂
That’s the size of the county I live in 😂
Still, it’s a lot of people
Yeah my school has 348 people goin there
damn my schools got around 3.7k students and only like 40-50 kids in marching band
Dude that is really sad
We have about the same amount of people in our school except our entire band program isn’t even advertised by the school unless we take first in something so we only have about 70 people in our band
Just look up allen high school in texas😅
That sounds a lot like a school in my area. Except the area there in is growing so fast that they are making more schools to accommodate the number of kids, so the school got halved and hit bad by covid/graduations.
literally same. we in the same band? 😮💨
150 with about 30 people that don’t care so ig they just won’t march
About 20 including guard. No one wants to do it anymore at my school.
2019 my kid's school fielded 300+. This year it's under 100. A lot of schools in California are smaller this season.
when i was a freshman we had around 200. now we have maybe 150? covid restrictions really made a lot of kids quit band because it wasn’t as fun as it used to be. still a very big band. for reference, my school has 2,000 ish people. and not enough sidewalks…
Same with my band
Around 160-170 here Walker High School, Louisiana
AYO?? WHATS YOUR NAME? it’s lauren from the band of legacy horn section 😭😭
There’s no way...., Mason Saxophone section... what are the odds...????
for reall omg. i can’t believe i found a fellow BOL person on reddit 💀 lol hey
might go buy a power ball ticket after that... hey lol 😂
70 total, school of 2,000, actually the biggest band we’ve had in recent history
ha we have you beat 29 people 💪🏾😎
~30ish in a school of 1600. Zero trumpets. It’s rough but we’re powering through.
we had one trumpet last year who was stuck in quarantine half the season I feel u 😭😭
Like 70-75 people with the guard
110. The biggest we’ve ever been was around 148ish.
≈300 each year (college band). It helps having a bigger band because we also happen to have one of the largest stadiums in the conference.
Probably around like 40-50 I'd say with guard. My school isn't the biggest in size but it's growing
I'd say like 40-50 in total
Edit: I counted 43
my school has 3900 people and the band is about 110 people
Somewhere around 40-45, including the guard. I’m a freshman this year and according the others the band has decreased over the years, especially the drum line.
54 with guard, South Carolina (it’s hot and wet out here)
Another day I’m glad to be a North Carolinian
Lol at least we don’t have red mud down here
High school was 60, college is about 150
My school has 2800 people and the band has 63. How tf did this happen?
ur band is bad? i dunno
In 2019 we got second at state in our division tho and swept percussion, so idk why we have such a small band
if i was in ur school i would definitely join band. like that's something to be proud of.
100 people including guard
90 I think, haven’t had a guard in like 40 years
we have about 85 with gaurd
~200 with guard, from a school of about 2500 people
Mine has about 100 people rn but almost half of them are seniors so things are gonna be wack next year
I would estimate around 70. I know we have exactly 39 section leaders + drumline lmao. And then 30 guard members so around 100 yeah
mine has 57 i think
Around forty (give or take) at any given time but I think we’re getting upwards of sixty this year
45ish. We’ve had a ton of people quit this season only to be replaced by foreign exchange students.
62 with guard, 52 without
So far I’ve seen like 15 :(
My old high school has 0 people in band. The administration cut the program after the 2019 football season. Instead they're gonna try to run a drumline in the stands (or something). As much as it saddens me my alma mater no longer has a marching band, video from their final season was rather pitiful.
45 people, but considering there's only 230 students total at my school I'd say that's pretty good. Way above average for schools
I dunno, over 200. Last year we had over 230.
I think we have something in the 40s-50s. Drum line is the biggest at 15
75, used to be 100 pre-Covid
We got roughly 150 kids
my senior year it was 27 including guard?? but then 13 people graduated so idk exactly what it's looking like now
We got about 250 people, school is about 4000 kids
F in chat, thats is the size of our GUARD. We have 32 flutes, 35ish guard, and most sections are 15idh people. Our band is 300+ people
Our show is like 30 active marchers, but in total we have about 70, including guard
Damm I’m in a school of about 3.2k according to our schools website this year and theirs only like 90 kids in band… this year….
when I started we had about 30. when I graduated we had about 70
40, down to about 30 this year.......
70 alone and 90 with the guard in a school of 2,500
we have 80ish with guard
The comments go from 200 to 20... I think my band Is about 70~ people...
sunday it was 397, yesterday it was 392, no idea what it is today but my section lost someone so about 385-390 most likely. with guard and majorettes it's over 400, reportedly.
About 75 maybe usually over 140 before Covid
Pre COVID was 60. Now it’s 40 something
Around 120-140 with guard
~80? we had like 110 two years ago in a school of 2,500 people
70 with guard covid sucks
52 including guard
around 70 with guard. it has been about the same even though we didn’t get a color guard until my sophomore year.
around 160 😮💨
