I took a trip to Heaton Park and successfully found cows/bulls. Thank you so much to everyone who gave me hints on where to find them (I'll probably seek out more in other suggested locations). I have found them, looked at them, and confirmed their continuing existence. I am healed.
I cow-mend (sorry) you all for your kindness.

Ewe'r welcome...no,hang on a minute.
*sheepishly backs out the comments section*
Udderly joyful
I'm glad someone is keeping check on the continued existence of the cows, they likely appreciate it It's a low stakes conspiracy but if they snuck the cows out under cover of darkness how long would it *really* be until someone realised? I don't remember the last time I personally gazed a cow
People might question where they would go, but they could easily be hidden somewhere that has no contact with the outside world, like Norfolk.
As someone who has moved to Manchester from those ends this made me laugh
I'm glad you did. I love cows
I'm glad you had a good mooch.

> Opposite problem in Devon... When I think about it, that's true. I lived in Devon for 12 years before moving back to God's Country, and the buggers are a bit to bloody inquisitive for my liking. They'll only follow you so far though, I can't remember one ever getting on the 'bus with me...
I'm originally from Devon, so perhaps that's where I get my love of cows.
Doesn’t help when the dog rolls in their poop to ingratiate herself with the ‘big dugs’ https://preview.redd.it/pfr4aab0mfya1.jpeg?width=1111&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=adda665887e88442708e0105f527c3238c48a145

Some impressive horns!
Now do Donkeys. Nothing nicer than a Donkey.
There were donkeys in the next field. I gave a couple of them a little scritch on my way back up.
That's too big a jump, I'd suggest goats first.
I'll give you a shout next time the mother in law comes round 👍
This post really mooved me, so happy for you
