The seed was never removed from Tibalt so i think hes a culprit and theres also the chibi theory with angrath, Ashiok, and sorin, since the current two walkers from that lair are compleated.

Brookenium

I don't see Sorin getting compleated because we just had 2 Innistrad sets and it's unlikely we'll go back. Not that Sorin couldn't go to another plane but he seems too stressed, depressed, but well dressed to leave.

Karnnack

I still belive they want to kill off every pre-mending walker. Sorin became so useless and forgotten that I wouldn't mind anymore. Still, my favorite planeswalker.

borissnm

Lukka (the rogue Ikorian bonder, [[lukka coppercoat outcast]]) and Calix (the nyxborn, [[Calix Destiny's Hand]]) are up there for me. For the former: there doesn't seem to be many places they can go with his story and warping "his love for beasts" into "his love for phyrexia" seems easy; for the latter, given that he's supposed to be a rival to Elspeth specifically and Elspeth is heavily opposed to Phyrexia, that seems like a good way to add layers to that and/or threaten Theros.

Shantih3x

Man, can we stop having Lukka getting screwed over by black and/or white mana antagonists? I'm still waiting for him and Garruk to become rivals with contrasting views of beasts and how they're tamed.

dusty_cupboards

karn becoming the new phyrexian god is basically what happened last time. venser liberated him.

Karnnack

But he didn't really, right? He became the new Phyrexian paperweight. He was to become a god, but Venser interrupted it.

lufraf

I really hope either Will or Rowan does and the other has to stop them

itsastrideh

I think it would be Will; Rowan's very rash and too ready to jump into action. It would be interesting to see how that works though since they share a single spark.

Pacmantis

I think Vivien is a good candidate. With Bolas gone, she’s sort of aimless and she just happened to end up in the right place at the right time to get tied up in this storyline. Of the squad gathering together right now against the Phyrexians, she’s got the least connection to the other people and planes involved. Her inclusion in the story makes a bit more sense if the writers are intending to have her compleated. Also, obviously compleating anyone is an uncool thing to do, but Vivien being all about nature would make it extra fucked up for her to be phyrexianized

overoverme

Karn is the only planeswalker who can't be. He was almost compleated in the Scars of Mirrodin block but it was reversed when he was made fully immune by Venser.

Blokron

Tezzeret also can't be. Nicol Bolas made him get vaccinated against phyresis before interacting with the phyrexians a while back.

trifas

Oh well, will they have to free Bolas to help in the fight against Phyrexians?

Karnnack

Really? I truly did not know that. They don't mention it anyome though, do they? Wonder if wizards forgot about it.

youarelookingatthis

It's in [this comic](https://magic.wizards.com/en/articles/archive/dark-discoveries-part-iii-2011-05-19) from 2011. Notably they say "slow the influence" as opposed to immunity.

TechnomagusPrime

And considering Tezzeret's discussion with Vivien in the SNC story, that vaccination may be wearing off due to his use of the Planar Bridge in transporting Praetors. It would also explain why his arm looks so different each time we see him, and why the glowing light in his chest turned from a soft blue to a deep red.

JA14732

Pretty sure Elspeth and Koth were both inoculated by Melira and Tezzeret by Bolas, too.

Dementia55372

I don't think this makes sense, as what actually removed the Phyrexian Oil was Venser giving Karn his spark. And now we have clearly seen that simply having a spark doesn't make you immune anymore so anything is on the table. Even Melira and Bolas's preventions don't mean anything anymore after Tamiyo.

JasonAnderlic

Karn has brought up the fact he's immune several times in the current story already. Its the plot to the tower chapter

Dementia55372

Karn can believe he's immune if he wants to, it doesn't make whatever the phyrexians have up their sleeve ineffective just because Karn doesn't think he's wrong

JasonAnderlic

Well he's had a spear dipped in glistening oil wedged in his torso, and had a phyrexian spit it all over his face. I guess we will have to wait and see. I predict he sacrifices himself for his friends, to right his wrongs, to clean up the mess he's made.

itsastrideh

I mean that \*is\* literally what he's been very publicly planning to do. Urza only survived the Sylex Blast because it ignited Glacian's spark which had been trapped inside the powerstone halves. (There is literally no other possible explanation for how that reckless idiot lasted that long without sparking.)

Karnnack

Yeah I know :( . But I would love to see him become compleated. Become as great as urza himself!

MagicMichael33

I think Nissa would be a good candidate. Ties to all three of the main (new, not old) walkers with Jace, Chandra and Liliana, immense power over nature that could be twisted to become a new way to infect planes, and flipping a love of nature into a love of machines seems poetic.

TheDoritomancer

While Nissa would make a compelling villain, the fact that Glissa exists makes it less likely imo. Having two BG-aligned Phyrexian elves with rhyming names is just asking for confusion.

itsastrideh

Considering this is Dominaria and we seem to be getting a Planeswalkers' War reunion going, I wouldn't be surprised if there are multiple pre-mending walkers caught up in it (bye bye Sivitri). I just hope that before they go we get some answers for the big mysterious bad things some of them did because someone's gotta know something about who sundered Alaraand why.

LegalyDistinctPraion

Will Kenrith. But not Rowan. Just Will.

Kurosaki289

Everyone will be compleated minus the new generation, the multiverse will be saved by Kaito, Niko, Rowan, Will and how old isVivien????

Raven094

My opinion will always be Teferi... I imagine Phyrexian completing him and then using his powers to go back in time to the war of the brothers to have Mishra win

Karnnack

That's actually really clever. We are indeed having the brother's war on the next set. I wonder if its going to be what you want or a "new" brother's war.

Raven094

I'm thinking about who might be the new brothers but nothing comes to my mind

antestrophe

i think Tezzeret is going to eventually become compleat, or he will be the host for Yawgmot new body/powers. But I hope that we get a plethora of nonblack based characters in the Phyrexianized design space, as historically Phyrexia has only ever really been represented by black when we see them on Dominaria.

Karnnack

Is that what tezzeret is after? Is tezzeret the son of yawg?

antestrophe

He's the most like Yawg without being tainted directly with phyrexia. no he's not the direct heir. but he has been playing the same ideological long-game, constantly adding literally world-changing powers to his arsenal every so often, just like yawgmoth did before his creation of and entombment in Phyrexia. Either he will come to represent Yawg directly through some sort of mutation/compleation; or he will become some sort of right hand/regent of the phyrexian leadership.

EazyBeekeeper

Squee will be a planeswalker (compleated).

Daydreamcatcher

I have a theory. All compleated planeswalkers will be enemy color pairs. First we have Simic as the confirmed Tamiyo. Now my guess will be a boros Ajani. We are the missing golgari, orzhov and izzet. My guesses? Nissa, Sorin and either Saheeli or Ral.

warcaptain

Chandra already had a huge trauma happen to her - so Nissa being compleated seems like overkill. Jace is overdue for pain though, so seeing his beloved gorgon Vraska compleated would give him his share of pain. Can vampires be compleated? If not, Kaya seems like an incredibly valuable target for New Phyrexia given her unique ability. Saheeli seems like an easy story to tell since she's fascinated by artifacts and an incredible inventor. Plus, would spread the pain around and bring Huatli into the fold.

shinianx

I don't think they could nab Kaya for the same reasons we don't see Phyrexian spirits. Things intangible tend to give them issues, as there's no flesh for the oil to influence.

warcaptain

They couldn't nab Planeswalkers at all before, but Phyrexia (read - writers) found a way. You're right there's likely another barrier they'd have to find a way to overcome, but nothing is impossible.

shinianx

In the case of Planeswalkers though it was a matter of overcoming the inherent resistance of their Spark. They are (for the most part) flesh and blood. Like, how do you mechanically augment a ghost?

warcaptain

Kaya isn't *actually* a ghost though she just has the ability to become spectral. Not too hard to imagine a made up way to inhibit her ability to become spectral not least of which being good ol fashion knocking her unconscious.

shinianx

Well of course. Ultimately if the writers decide she's doomed to compleation, they're gonna find a way. Plot armor means nothing to the people constructing the plot.

itsastrideh

To be fair, they did had several thousand years to defile Dyfed's corpse to try and find a way to get planeswalkers. They don't have a corpse with Kaya's ability to play with.

trifas

Compleated Aminatou would be scary

Gheredin

Compleated animatou would be the biggest villain in the multiverse. Well, she probably woke up one day and decided to be uncompleatable anyways.

Aestboi

I don’t think Aminatou’s power is completely altering reality/fate like everyone makes it seem. It’s more she can see the future and make those events happen sooner.

Gheredin

I mean, if that ain't reality altering I dont know what is. Assuming she can do the inverse of making things go sooner - postponing fate - she literally can do anything.

Mr-Pendulum

Jace hopefully. Maybe after he's completed he'll actually be useful in a story and then they can kill him off and give us the blue planeswalker we deserve.

Duramboros

cat

ddrunkman

So basically from what I saw of the story so far. Jaya was injured and will probably become compleat No one knows Ajani's fate atm so he will also probably get compleated From the other story I'm pretty sure they really want ashiok compleat Would be interesting to see if lili escapes... though given her character she probably will. A good number of ones that would be fun are actively on other planes so they are unlikely. The rest are dead from the war of the spark.

Pair-o-docks

Spoilers have come out a for the story already unfortunately. So your first points (right or wrong) will be addressed. Ashiok messing with the phyrexians and giving them nightmares seems a bit more antiheroish to me. Like kind of "enemy of my enemy" after he tortured elspeth on theros.

IdlyOverthink

We already know that >!Ajani!< will be compleated in Dominaria United, so them I guess.

Himbotastic

As much as I think seeing Karn as Father of Machines would be awesome, I don't think it will happen, as that was the Praetors' plan in 2011. It would be great to have one of the Gatewatch fall, but I don't think it will be Jace, Liliana or Chandra.

itsastrideh

I think Teferi's time may be up (pun definitely intended). Kaya's got a built in defense against phyrexians because she can turn intangible and Nissa was confirmed queer in the pride secret lair (she's in the pride parade with Chandra) so they'll probably want to address that in the story sometime before killing her off.

TNCNeon

I would love something super dumb like first giving Norin or Fiblthp a spark and then compleating them as super powerful planewalkers. Or one of the original 5 for nostalgia would be cool

Trigunner

Maybe in Unfinity we will get a Fblthp Planeswalker? Or a Slobad?

SliverSwag

I saw a leak from an official book saying that >!Ajani!< will be compleated in DMU

Rikets303

My gut tells me it's going to be the SL walkers, but from a lore perspective Koth, Tibalt, Tezz(imo he would break free and become father of machines), and Calix

Aestboi

I hope Ashiok is safe actually, one of my faves + the story with them as a thorn in Norn’s side was pretty funny Tibalt is biting it for sure idk why but I feel like Sarkhan might get got too, he hasn’t been used for a while and we know the Phyrexians have dragons
