yes we told them numerous time he was a threat to himself and others, in fact that's the only way to get an emergency protective order. At the moment when the incident happened he was already going to admitted, so they clearly identified the psychosis, also he had been previously hospitalized at that hospital before, so they were familiar with his diagnosis.
