but it's true that most of their income is from foreign tourists, which mostly is Chinese tourists, so small business owners are the most vulnerable group of this case.
That’s a risk they chose to take when they sell to Chinese tourists. This aint the first time CCP blocked their citizens from coming here. Very risky business and everyone knows it
Lol dang, I’m surprised it’s just Korea!! Like on the list of countries that are *very* snappy/express immense attitude towards China, are countries like Australia, Vietnam, Japan, the UK…. But it’s insane to see Korea as the ONLY one given how large the trade partnership is, but this is ducking awesome to see nonetheless LOL 😂
>But it’s insane to see Korea as the ONLY
Korea isn't the only one.
>반면 현재 중국발 입국자 방역 강화를 둘러싸고 갈등 중인 **한국·일본과 미국** 등은 명단에서 빠졌다.
It's just in a pretty exclusive club along with the USA, and Japan.
I thought Chinese come to Korea and stay at Chinese owned hotel, eats at Chinese owned restaurants and shops at Chinese owned stores. So by not coming, it will drive Chinese out of business? Interesting choice but I will not object.
A few years ago, the Chinese government had to educate their people to not let their kids crap on newspapers on the floor in airports.
Apparently, people were new to travel and didn't know better at the time. Hopefully, that's a thing of the past.
>Apparently, people were new to travel and didn't know better at the time. Hopefully, that's a thing of the past.
Nope. This is steeped in the culture of China. The kids are allowed to piss and shit *everywhere*, no matter where. It's actually a sign of decency to use newspaper, 'cuz most of the time they won't bother with that. The toddlers have clothes sold with a giant hole in the ass for just this purpose.
I remember seeing a toddler running around in the airport wearing assless chaps when I visited back in '08. Shocked to say the least, especially when I heard that's the reason why they wear them
Seriously. I once saw a Chinese tourist at Nami island straight up spray crap in the bathroom. I had the unfortunate time to go after her… people are nasty
mate.
Its not even a daily occurence, its once every 15 minutes at Incheon airport.
Like, i fucking love china, the views, the food, even the people (Not the CCP lol) but i don't know what is wrong with their education or culture when randomly squatting and shitting out of the blue in public is both frequent and open...
Like if you cant participate in the modern world then maybe yea, they need to stay home.
Speaking of Incheon airport, reminds me of the time I saw a Chinese tourist kneeling over a toilet, stall door wide open, washing his damn face and neck with said toilet water.
Reminds me when i was in the departure area of a Chinese airport, and a woman was holding her baby in the air letting it piss in the bin. No doubt there was probably a toilet around the corner
Many a time saw a piss puddle or a turd on the floor of the supermarket. One day i even witnessed a mother clapping her don/daughter and saying good job after having pissed on the floor.
China's crazy lol
To be fair in Korea and Japan too in every public bathroom I use, I watch people walk right by the sink on the way out or maybe run their fingertips under some water for half a second if they’re really feeling responsible
This is a kin to my in laws not coming for the holidays because they’re mad my wife won’t let them bring their 3 cats with them (we have cat allergies unfortunately).
For me, for you, for Korea- win/win.
Korea needs to share how to do this with other countries. When I went to Louvre, you would have more chance of taking photos of a Chinese auntie rather than anything in that museum.
In Danang, Vietnam, I learnt my lesson to check with hotels prior to booking if they are specifically catered to Chinese tours.
I kid you not, they bring along those handheld karaoke and drinking and blasting through the night, even if I'm staying in two room away from them. The hotel buffets were always like a race to them, they grabbed grilled seafood and steak from the common plates by barehands. Like wtf dude.
I am very fortunate not to see their public defecation yet.
curious as to how you found out whether or not said hotels specifically catered to Chinese tours. would love to apply your methods on my next hotel search
Luckily there won't be many Chinese, but there are so many Koreans there right now (especially Osaka) you'll feel like you haven't even left Korea haha
Winter (to spring) is actually the high season for Korean tourism in Japan because Japan is comparatively warmer than most of Korea, especially the population centers surrounding Seoul. Conversely, Summer in Japan can be intolerably hot and more importantly, humid.
Pray for the good people of Thailand and Philippines who rely on tourism money to survive but will be facing the full force of Chinese tourists for the next couple months.
Thank the lord, Chinese people coming from China are especially rude, no sense of respect for anyone or manners. This is especially in the US as well. Until they are taught to respect others and have manners, they shouldnt be allowed to go anywhere or theyll just be a pain for everyone.
Thank you
lol that was my exact thought. When i was in Seoul during Sept and Nov, god damn compared to pre-COVID it was blissful.
Please include Australia on this list. Come on China. You are getting too soft
I personally don't object, but the small business owners won't be too happy with this, though
Small business owners who cater to chinese tourists should call the CCP's complaint hotline
but it's true that most of their income is from foreign tourists, which mostly is Chinese tourists, so small business owners are the most vulnerable group of this case.

Seriously. Why can’t Japan be on that list?
They are, along with the USA. It's in the article. Just the headline is crap.
Awesome
Wait, what did Korea do right that other countries can learn from?
Well, the answer is reintroduced COVID testing for inbound travellers from China, which caused a diplomatic covfefe.
Covfefe!!! Oh that’s an excellent “word” choice for this!
I know right, I’m bringing it back 😆
Grab em by covfefe
While eating hamberder with diet coke
aha the diplomatic covfefe made me chuckle
Didn’t the US also do that recently?
You are correct. Also Thailand.
Now *that’s* some good covfefe
Threatening us with a good time? Nice

They do lol.
Good.
Thank you! Can we please find a way to make this a permanent thing.
China is like the most fragile country on the planet for how much insecurity a little place like Korea manages to make them feel on a regular basis.
Good.
OH NO!! Anyway...
👏👏

It's 2023, they are still made, sold, and worn.

Did we witness the same person? Saw this and still can't believe it had happened.

Imagine his life that brings him to think that's fine. 😣
Wut. No. I will not entertain the possibility that I live in a reality where this happens.
Jesus. Been to incheon many a time but never seen that. Guess I’m not looking hard enough usually but hope I never come across it.

Man I just have to say I got a solid laugh out of this. Hope the image wasn’t too harrowing 😂
It was the wettest splat of a turd too. It might be the lack of handwashing but chinese are living on 100% diarrhea 100% of the time.
To be fair in Korea and Japan too in every public bathroom I use, I watch people walk right by the sink on the way out or maybe run their fingertips under some water for half a second if they’re really feeling responsible
lmao...
Good riddance xd
Nice
fuck thanks
phew!
Really appreciate it
Thank you CCP
Its fun to watch a one-party dictatorship crumble by its own creation.
Anyway we can make this permanent?
That’s fine, stay away
Oh no. Anyway
This is a kin to my in laws not coming for the holidays because they’re mad my wife won’t let them bring their 3 cats with them (we have cat allergies unfortunately). For me, for you, for Korea- win/win.
Great news!
Thank you so much.
Nice
great news!
a win then

Who writes the headlines for the JoongAng Ilbo. Their own article lists the USA and Japan as well as Korea that have exempted.
Excellent, got a trip planned to Japan and was worried about how crowded it would be now that tourism is allowed again.
Luckily there won't be many Chinese, but there are so many Koreans there right now (especially Osaka) you'll feel like you haven't even left Korea haha

I spoke more Korean than Japanese in Osaka lol
Luckyyyyy
How does it feel like when government doesn’t allow you choose a tour freely? Ask Chinese
So petty. They can keep their covid strains and stay out then.
you just lost a customer!! oh nooooooooooo
That's great, I hope this stays the same when I travel to Korea in May!!
What a spoilt country
Thank you China
I see this as an absolute win.
Good
Lucky you!
please advise on what we should do
Piss the Pooh off.
Please don't come
Good way to relieve Korean dependance on China. Let the China sympathizing countries get plagued by additional Wuhan Flu outbreaks.
Pray for the good people of Thailand and Philippines who rely on tourism money to survive but will be facing the full force of Chinese tourists for the next couple months.
I have no problem with that. China is doing Korea a favor
**BEST NEWS EVER!!!** **China should ban Chinese from going to Korea! Period!!!** **No Chinese in Korea is the best possible news to Koreans EVER!**
Thank you! Almost Korean doesn't welcome chinese, because they are so rude. China has big territory but narrow mind 😮💨
This includes North Korea?
May take a trip to Korea because they’ve already infiltrated Japan in a matter of days.
The comments are something here 🫣
