I've read the bible and overall agree with the teachings of Jesus to be a good person and treat everyone with respect. So I can admit there are some good Christians out there. But until the good Christians start to self police the hypocritical/bad Christians they're all the same to me. Looking at you Televangelist/Prosperity Gospel/Joel Olsteen/Rush Limbaugh. Good Christians, start calling out these frauds who do not lead Christians lives and we're all good.

The problem with Christianity, as I see it, is that there is no barrier to entry. Anyone can call themselves a Christian. Don't need to be baptized, or even read the Bible. People who put work into becoming a member of their faith are way less likely to do bad stuff **in the name of that faith**. They still do bad stuff like all people, but those actions aren't usually "justified" under religious pretense. But shitty people can claim their bigotry is from their faith when their faith doesn't require anything from them.

I mean, me too but at this point we know the Universe is bigger than portrayed in the Bible. It’s a secret to everyone. Even someone who was raised in the church from third grade like me. The church would convince you this kind of thing doesn’t happen as often so we get pieces like this.

>It’s a secret to everyone. Sorry, but what is the secret?

SPITFIYAH

The Universe is more significant and grander than myths of cities and courts atop mountains and golden paths laid in perfect observation view of the sinner’s torment, lying outside the decay and end of our dynamic biology. With this understanding, our purpose both diminishes and expounds greatly in equal contrast. Human suffering, its trinity of perpetuation, instigation, and healing is a billion-person industry, and I've been chewed up and spat out too many times to believe laid down, my path is before me. I'm done tossing my will to that is entirely against me.

Well said.
