I kinda doubt there would be many Poles living in Eastern Pomerania who would want to be called Danzig (as if it was anything more than just a Germanized phonetic name of Gdansk) - I guess Kashubia/Kaszuby would make more sense. Anyway, why is the year 1997? Is this a reference to something?

And ye u’re right, but in this “alt world” actually poland was annexed to the soviet union and then in 1991 danzig/gdansk people decided to separate and give resources to poland and the other baltics to get independence
